When validating my network topology on dirty areas it fails with a very generic error message. I tried it through the GP tool and get and if I just try it the data tab across the top of Pro I get either one of these. I just created this Utility network and getting this from the begining. I am getting this message in default and in child version. I'm running Pro 2.6.3 and Server 10.8.1

Yes it does and I even have a tip that says if you are not at the location of the issue to type in your address if you are not at the location, but nobody reads that and just allows it to submit by GPS. So you can't set the map to make it required to type the location in the search instead of using the GPS on their device?

I have created a survey through the web version that has an address text field and a map. The goal was for the end user (citizens) to enter their address in the address text field and then use their gps in the phones to find their current location or type the address in the address bar of the map. But we are running into several issues. First we found a bug if there is a default point set in it doesn't require them to tap the map. The other problem is people are not submitting the survey from the location of issue, but on the road or at work. I was wondering if I can set the Address field to pull from my address locator instead of just a simple text box and then it automatically fills in the maps location for it to plot the point? That way we are not relying on the Citizens to correctly use the map as we have come to find out that not all do. Here is our survey https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/6ac129cf4a254b1a9ca44d0fff0e7222

I was curious if anyone could give me some good examples to model backflow devices in the Water Utility network? In our situation we would could have one service line with several backflow devices associated to that building. For example we would have a commercial service line going into the building and we could have a backflow device on the actual service connection, another for an outside faucet (multiple ones if they have multiple faucets), and another that hooks into their lawn sprinkler system. How would you go about showing that many backflow devices (since these are containments) associated to this one service?

Has anyone figured out a way to get around this Bug BUG-000129880: Running the Update Subnetwork tool in a child versio.. ? We run updates in the child version and then run the Update Subnetwork tool in default and it never updates any updates that we did in child. We are in the process of upgrading to server 10.8.1 and Pro 2.6 to alleviate another bug, but our consultant has done testing on their side and it is still posing an issue with the subnetwork tool updating child updates. When reached out to ESRI support, they didn't even seem to have a timeline of a fix. Just curious if anyone else has run into the issue and if they found a good work around.

It would be nice if there was an OPTION for the gallery layout to show all cards that is in the specified group even if it doesn't match the permissions that is currently logged in. So Users see everything that is available to the entire organization. For example my site is set to see by Everyone. And I have the gallery to pull from a "Water Sites" Group. Within this group is a combination of application that is shared to Everyone and shared only to "Water Editors" and "Water Sites", not everyone, as they are restricted editing maps. Right now when you first go to the site you can only see the Everyone shared maps and the individual maps part of the Water editors have to login in to see those maps show up as a card. It would be nice for the Sites gallery to have an option to show ALL maps associated to the Water Sites Group and if a user clicks on the restricted maps to view it then it prompts the user for their username and password. The reasoning for this: I'm using this as an employee only website. So I want ALL employees viewing the website to see ALL maps available to our organization even if they don't have permission to. This way they can see all the options available to them and if something changes within their job they can come to me and request permissions on them. Without them seeing them they might never know that it is an available option. In addition, we have over 300 people in our organization and I may make one kind of map for one group and another group would be able to see it and say we love that idea can you do the same thing for us. I wouldn't want to give permissions to that map to the second group because it is just for the first group. I say make this an option only, because I can also see use for the current setup for some people.

Thanks Brian! Please do recommend the ability to individually set the icons. Otherwise I think there is no point to have an icon if they are all the same. Maybe there could be spot in the item details and set it there just like you do the thumbnail.

I have accomplished something very similar in my Enterprise Site not sure if it will work on Hub with my understanding they are slightly different. I have a Web Mapping Application (Lets call this Viewer Original) that is shared only to a specified group (lets call Group X) and they are required to login in when viewing the application. However, my sites page it is shared out to my entire organization. So in order to get the gallery card to show up on the page with the rest of the cards but still maintain the requirement for my specified group to log in, I performed the following steps. On Portal in my Content I clicked Add Item/An Application. For the settings I set it to Web Mapping, Purpose to Ready to Use and API to Other. I then copied and pasted the Viewer Original App share link into the URL and gave it a slightly different name (lets call it Viewer Sites). Then in the Viewer Sites Application I shared this out to the Entire Organization so it will display as my Enterprise Sites gallery card. However, since this is only a link back to Viewer Original and when you are in the Sites Page and click the link it prompts for Group X login credentials once it attempts to load the map. It is just like putting a static HTML link in a text box but letting it display as a gallery item with all of the rest of your data. It is a very round-about way of doing something but it is the best I could come up with. It would be nice if there was a settings somewhere where you have the option to show all apps in that group whether or not they match the same permissions.

I am setting up a Sites in Portal via Enterprise 10.7.1 and I have inserted a gallery of Pages associated with my site and set it display as icons. Is there a way to change the icon. I found a way how to modify the thumbnails individually. But I want to use icons on this and I don't want them all the same icon. In addition is there a way to order the gallery so it goes in alphabetical order?

I have a File Geodatabase that is set up in the Utility network and I have enabled network topology. What I'm noticing is some weird geometry with vertices showing up that is not in my original data. This only starts happening AFTER I have run the Apply Asset Package to my Utility Network Geodatabase. When I select the line by using the lasso, point, or rectangle tool in the Edit vertices toolbar it shows additional vertices going past the selected line to the next point. However, if I select the line using the add or remove vertex tool on the Edit vertices toolbar those additional vertices do not show up. In additional, in XY coordiantes of the points it only shows the two vertices specified to that line. I have checked a large amount of areas and it is all like this. Is this common in ArcPro, a Bug with ArcPro, or an issue somewhere else? My selected line is Purple in the below screenshots Selected using the Lasso Tool Selected using the Add Vertex tool No Selection so you can see my points that the line is snapped too.

My original screenshot was looking at default when first enabling topology and updating the subnetwork. If I tried to edit anything in the version, then it catches even less. It doesn't update anything new.

1.Here is a screenshot of my Junction Edge Connectivity rules, which were all default within the UN. I have it that allows tap to be connected to service lines of all kinds and allows taps to be connected to Water mains. Now I did have to allow this rule for our circumstances as we have several cases that we have domestic service lines coming off a fire line at a tap. 2. If I try to move the tap then the main and the service all move with it. 3. The Life Cycle on all features are set to In Service 4. No aware of any additional definitions. Is this the rules that I screenshot above?

I did a Subnetwork trace and it sort of does it. So it picks up the line I put the trace Location on and goes to the main and out. However, down line it doesn't pick up any of the Not Connected Service lines. As you can see the service line on the house on the left is at the end of main so it picked that up. But the two on the right are in the middle of the main and they didn't get grabbed. I can export my SDE as an asset package to a file geodatabase for you. What is your email to send it to?

I'm trying to implement a Water Utility Network and am having trouble with my taps or junctions. We have serveral mains that have taps connected at vertex's in the span at the main. Then a service line is connected to that tap. If this tap is connected in the span of the main instead of the end the Is Connected tool and Update Subnetwork does not assign the service line or the tap to the system. I was looking at the Naperville data and it shows whole mains without the mains split at the taps for the service lines. I'm also tried splitting a line or making a line off a controllable value and it still doesn't work correctly. I disable and re-enabled network topology hoping this would help. I also verified under the Water Line that the Network Edge Connection Policy is set to Any Vertex on Water Mains and Service Lines
