Support for Subtype Group Layers at Enterprise 11.4 (Search Widget)

Has anyone had success at Enterprise 11.4 with adding a subtype group layer as a search source in the search widget?

According to the what's new at 11.4, subtype group layers are supported:  https://doc.arcgis.com/en/experience-builder/11.4/get-started/whats-new.htm

I've attempted configuring a web map to support searching a specific field - and that step behaves as I would expect.  I can search the specified layer and field in map viewer.

When adding a new search source from the web map, no layers that are part of subtype group layers are listed as potential search sources.

The subtype group layers in my web map are from a map image layer, not feature layer, but I don't think that would matter.

There are some older posts on this forum, from before this was a supported function (pre-11.4) but no questions since.

My organization is at 11.3, but that sounds like it would be a useful search function. Would you be willing to share a screenshot of the limitation you are experiencing in the Search Widget? 

In addition to being at 11.3, my organization is also working on migrating apps from the legacy Web AppBuilder to Experience Builder. Any lessons learned or best practices from other users are appreciated. Thank you for posting this note about using subtype group layers as a source in the Search widget.

The subtype group layers in my web map are from a map image layer, not feature layer.

Now only subtype group layers created from feature service is supported in ArcGIS Experience Builder. After API support map image layer, we will enhance it. I will keep you updated.

We've confirmed that subtype group layers, shared as a feature service are functional in the Experience Builder Search Widget in Enterprise 11.4.

I just want to confirm that Subtype Group layers only work as a Feature Service and NOT an Map image service when functioning with the Search or Map Layers Widgets in Experience Builder?  I'm utilizing Enterprise 11.5.

We're at 11.5 for our Production environment.  I can confirm that the search widget does function with Subtype group layers on Feature Services.
