Hi Colin To address these points: 1) Unless the user is signed in - there is no way to have a user only see the records they have created - as this requires editor tracking and a username (the username is used to filter what can be seen). 2) Republishing a survey will revert the permissions - as these are hardcoded in survey123 and what the apps expect/require. While it is possible to update permissions by going directly to the service properties, it is not recommended and can result in unexpected behavior 3) Ultimately, we agree that we could do a better job at documenting service permissions in regards to Survey123 and have an internal issue open to do so. Hi All Updated responce - based on recent update to the github resource detailed below: Yes you correct in that you Collector does have a custom URL scheme and you can pass in a webmap ID and a lat long: arcgis-collector://?itemID=35b1ccecf226485ea7d593f100996b49¢er=34.0547155,-117.1961714 and also attributes: arcgis-collector://?itemID=5d417865c4c947d19a26a13c7d320323¢er=43.524080, 5.445545&featureSourceURL=http://sampleserver5a.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/LocalGovernment/Recreation/FeatureServer/0&featureAttributes={”quality”:2,“observed”:1502917218285} Please see the following for more information on the collector url scheme: GitHub - Esri/collector-integration: Multi Language repository that contains documentation and sample code for creating … The issue is that Survey123 can't pass in the answers from a completed form. Hi Lesley Both hidden and calculate questions will have their answers written to the underlying feature service and will be visible in the data view. However, as you are experiencing - it is not possible to see them in the Analyze tab. I can get this added as an enhancement request. Thanks John

If you are using 2012 RT - you will need to delete both: AppStudio-WindowsLocation.dll and AppStudio-WindowsLocation7.dll files from \Users\Username\Applications\ArcGIS\Survey123ConnectforArcGIS\position and then launch Connect again. Cheers John

Just to confirm that the fix is live - but will only apply to the publishing of new surveys on the web. Republishing will not fix the survey permission (the manual approach in AGOL is required).

Hi Matt Apologies - I jumped the gun about the fix being live - it will be in production shortely (I will update this post when it is). This is why republishing the survey reverts the permission changes you made in AGOL. So for the time being - change the permissions in AGOL and don't republish the survey. Then test whether you can successfully submit. Cheers John

Hi Matt Thanks for the email with logs. I can confirm that this behaviour is a result of bug we identified in 2.4 - where the permissions set on the feature service (created by web designer) were not sufficient for the field app to upload attachments. The missing records were for those surveys that had images added. We have fixed this - but you will now need to republish the survey and verify that the service has the following editing permissions for the fieldworker view: What kind of editing is allowed? - Add, update, and delete features What features can editors edit? - Editors can edit all features Please test the above and let me know if this has resolved things. Hi Hayley Are Collector and Survey123 pointing to the same feature service? If so, there would be no need to launch collector from survey123. You would just interrogate the survey data directly in Collector. If not - while it is possible to access completed surveys using the survey123 inbox - it is not possible to pass answers into Collector for viewing purposes.
