Hi Michael - I have not been able to replicate this behaviour on a 6.0.1 device. Could you share your XLS form with me and I will try to replicate this issue. Additionally, what device are you using?

Hi Jake This is not possible in the current version of Survey123. However we do have this down as an enhancement request and are considering it for a future release. I will add you onto the issue. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Mike You can use symbols in excel (Insert=>Symbol) to find and insert the degree symbol. Alternatively you can copy the paste just this: 5° 14' 4.416" into an excel cell and rework into something like the following: ${Q_Degs} + "° " + ${Q_Mins} + "' " + ${Q_Secs} Q_Degs = Question holding your degrees in a string Q_Mins = Question holding your minutes in a string Q_Secs = Question holding your seconds in a string I hope this helps - please let me know if this works for you. Thanks John

Hi Guido I have published your survey and was not able to replicate the behaviour that you are experiencing. Could I ask that you log a support incident through: https://support.esri.com/contact-tech-support So that we can get some more thorough testing done. Thanks John

Hi Terry You can use the instance name to control what text or answers are displayed in the sent box: Please see the following: https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2015/08/23/understanding-the-instancename-setting. Additionally in version 2.0 of Survey123 (currently in beta) you will be be able to search and sort surveys in the sent box (and other boxes).

Despite the best planning of your surveys, there may be circumstances when you need to change the data type of one or more of your questions. For example, you may have a question that will only accept integers, when you now need it to accept strings. The simplest way to do this is to make the change in XLSForm spreadsheet and republish the survey. However, the issue here is that Survey123 will need to republish the survey’s hosted feature service AND will delete your existing data in the process. If you want to do such a schema change BUT want to keep all your existing data, then keep on reading..... Before we continue, there is a caveat: Not all field types can be successfully converted from one to another, and even if a conversion works – you could reduce the precision or integrity of your data. Please make sure that you consider the implications of any data type conversions before proceeding with this workflow. High level workflow: If you are comfortable with ArcGIS Online here is what you need to do (If not, I have attached a more detailed step by step document): In the ArcGIS Online: Back up the hosted feature service for the survey to a FGDB. In the ArcGIS Online Map Viewer: Add a temporary field to the hosted feature service. This should be of the new field type you are converting your question to. Update the temporary field with the values from the original field. Delete the original field Create a new version of the original field, but give it the new data type that you require. Update this new field with the values from the temporary field. Delete the temporary field. In Survey123 Connect: In the XLSForm Spreadsheet, update the data type for the target question. This should now match the data type of the new field you created. Republish the survey. You should receive the message that your data will not be affected. Test the survey on the Survey123 field app. Start collecting!

Ismael Chivite Thanks for reporting this issue. The Survey123 1.10 update of the field app cannot submit data to Portal for ArcGIS. This problem does not affect surveys published to ArcGIS Online. This issue has been logged as BUG-000101764 in Esri Tech Support. We are working to identify the problem and fix as soon and possible. If absolutely necessary, and only for Android, Windows and Mac platforms you can obtain the 1.9 release of the Survey123 by opening a ticket (Request a Case) through Esri Technical Support. We anticipate it may take us three weeks to fix this problem.

I'm not sure when you did the test, or if you have cached an older version of the page (press Ctrl F5 to refresh) - so it would be good to confirm the issue occurs in the latest version of the site too. Please let us know. Many thanks John

Hi Garrett, Just so we can rule out anything browser related. Can you: 1) Confirm that you have done a full browser refresh (Ctrl F5) since the update. 2) Confirm what browser (and version) you are using. Please let us know. Thanks John

Hi Ivan - we can't be confident that the behaviour you are experiencing is related to BUG-000101764 without some additional information on your set up. Could you let us know what kind of authentication you are you using on your Portal for ArcGIS instance, as well as its operating system - and also confirm that the behaviour affects all surveys on the device? Many thanks John
