Hi, I am using QuickCapture for a project as a part of my masters. For the project I am walking a transect through a grassland and logging observations of specific bird species. I sued the "wildlife reporter (mobile view)" off AGOL as a basis and built off of it. I created custom buttons for each species and did not realize that the button's label would not be recorded as a variable. So now, after my first round of surveying with QC I have data that is incomplete. Instead of my 'bird species x sex' format that was written in the label, it just says giraffe, elephant, bison... Now I can deduce the species from these observations but not the sexes and I need that information. Is there anyway to get the metadata for which button each observation is connected to after the fact? Or can I update the survey and get the new labels associated with each data point if I leave the buttons themselves and just change the label? This is very important for me so if I could get a hand that would be life saving- thank you!
@HayleeCrowle – It looks like you may have used the Wildlife Reporter template in the QuickCapture designer as the starting point for your project, then updated the button labels in the Appearance tab, but not the attribute information in the Data tab. As a result, the attribute information you were expecting wasn’t captured.
Unfortunately, if the information wasn’t submitted at the time, it isn’t possible to retrieve it afterwards. Going forward, updating the attributes in the Data tab should ensure the correct information is captured.
