Hi Lesley When you say dashboard - do you mean the data tab of the survey123 website? If so - then hidden fields will be displayed in the table and individual views. If this is not happening - please share your survey xls. Thanks John

If you are using 2012 RT - you will need to delete both: AppStudio-WindowsLocation.dll and AppStudio-WindowsLocation7.dll files from \Users\Username\Applications\ArcGIS\Survey123ConnectforArcGIS\position and then launch Connect again. Cheers John

Just to confirm that the fix is live - but will only apply to the publishing of new surveys on the web. Republishing will not fix the survey permission (the manual approach in AGOL is required).

Hi Matt Apologies - I jumped the gun about the fix being live - it will be in production shortely (I will update this post when it is). This is why republishing the survey reverts the permission changes you made in AGOL. So for the time being - change the permissions in AGOL and don't republish the survey. Then test whether you can successfully submit. Cheers John

Hi Matt Thanks for the email with logs. I can confirm that this behaviour is a result of bug we identified in 2.4 - where the permissions set on the feature service (created by web designer) were not sufficient for the field app to upload attachments. The missing records were for those surveys that had images added. We have fixed this - but you will now need to republish the survey and verify that the service has the following editing permissions for the fieldworker view: What kind of editing is allowed? - Add, update, and delete features What features can editors edit? - Editors can edit all features Please test the above and let me know if this has resolved things. Thanks John

Hi Hayley Are Collector and Survey123 pointing to the same feature service? If so, there would be no need to launch collector from survey123. You would just interrogate the survey data directly in Collector. If not - while it is possible to access completed surveys using the survey123 inbox - it is not possible to pass answers into Collector for viewing purposes. Survey123 can't push out the existing answers. I hope I this is helpful and let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks John

Hi Matt First of all we need to confirm that the data is being successfully submitted to the service (i.e. it is not an issue with the survey123 website displaying the data). To do this you need to sign in to ArcGIS Online (www.arcgis.com) using the username and password of the survey author, and view the feature service associated with the survey in a web map (use the table view). We just need to verify that the records are actually missing. Please let me know if you need any further detail on how to do this. If the data is missing from the feature service then you can recover it from the field devices using the steps outlined here: Troubleshoot—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS . However no recovery is possible for the web-form. If you find that data is being lost on an intermittent basis - we would need to capture logs of a failed submission. There is section called Log errors to a console on the page I mentioned above. At this stage I would recommend that you open up support issue to help troubleshoot this further: Esri Support Contact Tech Support . But additionally feel free to share your survey with me at [email protected] and I'll take a look. Cheers John

Hi Aaron - could you provide us with a screen shot of the the error message and also a copy of your survey. We have made changes around the way information is sent to the server around attachments and null values. Can I also ask if any of the fields in the service don't allow null values? Thanks John

Hi Bob You will need to use relevant for this. In the relevant column for the question that you want to hide you would need to add something like ${station}='FORESTVILLE'. This will only show the fspkill question (question and label) if FORESTVILLE is selected in the station question. You would need to use or statements if you wanted this to happen for multiple stations: ${station}='FORESTVILLE' or ${station}='CALEDONIA'. It looks like you are trying to use choice filters to achieve the above - which is not the right approach. Please let me know if this as what you are after. Thanks John

Hi Elle H This is not possible with a standard image question - but we can get this added as an enhancement request. A slight hack would be to use an image question and apply the 2.4 annotate appearance. This would mean that the user would be only able to take a picture - however they would also be able to annotate on top of it (which may or amy not be an issue). Thanks John

In that case I would put a note question above the image question. The note question can include text and images. To add an image, use the insert image button and specify an image url. The image will need to be hosted online - but you can use something like Flickr to host it.

Hi Amit Could you let me know where you authored your survey - connect or the web designer? 1) I would expect to see the sign in box for a public surveys published in Connect (but not in a form created in the web designer). 2) In the web designer - you can use the survey description to add a logo to the form. You can add in a link/url to an image or logo by pressing the insert image button when in design mode (with the survey description highlighted). 3) The note bug in the web form will be resolved as of 2.4 (released this week). 4) Please provide an example of the media image shifting to the left margin and also provide the dimensions of the image you are using. I will see if I can replicate. Thanks John
