This should work - could you share the version of Survey123 field app you are using, the device make and model and operating system (including version). Note that if you are testing in Connect - you will need to click the Validate Input button to check the functionality is working. Thanks John

Hi Chandreyee Currently the web app does not support groups and their appearances. We are however actively working on it - so will have this functionality added in an upcoming release. Thanks John

Hi Colin I should probably rephrase 2) to be: it is not recommended unless you are sure of what you are doing (or following steps on from a reliable source) and are aware that the permissions will be reverted on re-publishing. It is just not recommended for the average user. We will take your feedback on board in regards to the permissions we apply to the service by default and look at this for a potential future enhancement. It might be that more sub options should be available for making surveys public in the Survey123 Website. Thanks for the feedback that you have provided - it is much appreciated (and will be reviewed). John

Hi Brittney IOS 11 uses a new image format (HEIC) that Survey123 does not currently support. The user will need to update their device settings to disable HEIC. This will force iOS 11 to store all images as JPEG. You can disable HEIC from settings > camera > formats. Thanks John

Hi Siew My description above would not account for ranges - and that is why it is not ideal. Another option would be to use if statements to assign the correct ID. Could you share your data with me and I can see whether this option would be viable? Thanks John

Hi Siew Wei You can use pulldata to do this (kind of.....). Pulldata can only do a lookup against a single field in the .csv (not multiple fields), so you will need to create a new version of the .csv that contains a concatenated version of columns B, C, D. The .csv would need to contain rows for all possible combinations of B, C and D - and this is the bit that may be a showstopper for you as you are dealing with lengths. E.g of concatenated string: 20_80_AAA Then the pull data function in S123 would look something like the following pulldata(<csvfile>, <returnColumn>, <lookupColumn>, <lookupValue>). The <lookupValue> would be populated with a concat statement that would combine the results of the appropriate questions e.g.: concat(${Start},'_',${End}, '_',${Line}) Please let me know if you need any further clarification. Cheers John

Hi Michelle Currently we don't support this functionality. I could get this added as an enhancement request - but in order to do so, could you provide more details of your workflow and what you are trying to acheive. Thanks John

Currently the only option is to download the data and perform and a find and replace to remove encoding characters (until we provide a fix).

Hi Grace The functionality you describe here is called a cascading select. This is where you have two select_one questions, and the first one filters the options in the second. We have a sample available through Connect (called Cascading selects!) which will give you a start. There is also a blog about them here: https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2015/10/22/cascading-selects-and-external-selects Please let me know if you need any help with this. Thanks John

Hi Eric This is a known BUG: BUG-000107010 When fields are passed from a feature service to Survey123 for ArcGIS survey through custom URL scheme, URL encoding is not decoded in final survey result. I will add you to it. Thanks John

Hi Chris Just to rule out the obvious - can you confirm that you have updated the form_id in settings to match the name of the related table? This is a requirement because you are targeting the related table directly. Thanks John

Hi Ayelet Have you considered using the the or other functionality to achieve this? Essentially the syntax would be: select_multiple [listname] or other This would remove the requirement for a relavent but give you the same result. Cheers John
