This might be related to a timeout setting. Smaller tables work fine. (string formatting in CSV is a bit mangled, but that is a different issue) Temporary Example: Dataset | Spokane County GIS Data Catalog I tried bumping up the timeout duration on the service but that didn't help.

Hi Courtney, thanks for your reply. I'll see what support has to say. Our Open Data site is at v1.9. We are transitioning to 2.0. This issue occurs at the new version as well.

Solution: Don't use ESRI_OID. TLDR: Downloading CSV's fails on Open Data. Data is served from Map Services hosting Query Layers from non-sde databases. I have tables in MSSQL databases that I would like to offer on our Open Data site. I have published map services with these tables added as Query Layers, connected as either NT user ArcGISSOC and a database account. The service publishes fine and I'm able to see rows in the Data and Table tabs of AGOL and Open Data Admin site. REST queries to these services returns data as expected. Unfortunately when attempting to download the data as a spreadsheet I receive a generic error '...Something went wrong with the server....'. Logs on the server give a string of errors: 'General geodatabase error occurred , Error performing query operation. Wait time of the request to the service ... has expired, Unable to process request, no instances for .... were available for 60 seconds.' Environment: ArcGIS Server 10.3 SQL Server 2008 R2 Example REST Endpoint AGOL layer page Open data page I'd like to know if Open Data is configured to accept Map Services with Query Layers configured in this way. If this isn't accepted, I'd like to know if there is an alternative that does not involve uploading CSV's to AGOL. Thanks for your help Courtney Claessens , Klara Schmitt

Is this still the case? At 10.3.1, it seems I must add a feature class to a service of stand alone tables.

I'd like to reference ArcGIS API for Python from a public pypi repository. It was previously published under the package name 'arcgis' at version 0.1. I can't to seem to find the package under this name. Can someone provide a direct link to this package from PyPI - the Python Package Index : Python Package Index ? rsingh-esristaff

Hello- I have had success with this problem when modifying ESRI's open data script on github. The refresh function didn't update the date-updated shown on our Open Data site so I changed it a bit. I found that if I updated a property of a dataset (disclaimer, description, ... ) the 'Updated' date would update. Because the cache settings are set to Automatic users are getting fresh data. This script is run nightly from Task Scheduler. Cache Settings: Modified refresh function.
import requests
from arcgis.gis import GIS
def refresh(self):
"""
Refreshes all Open Data datasets and download cache. Will also update the index.
"""
gis = GIS("https://[yourAGOL].maps.arcgis.com",[yourUserString], [yourPasswordString])
DataStatus = {}
for dataset in self.OpenDataItems:
#send refresh request for each dataset in Open Data.
url = "https://opendata.arcgis.com/api/datasets/{0}/refresh.json?token={1}".format(dataset, self.token)
HTTPresponse = requests.put(url, verify=False)
#if refresh was successful, trigger Last Modified date by editing the description attribute. This will add
#a space in the text of the description.
if HTTPresponse.ok:
#strip Open Data numbering suffix from item id ('_1','_2')
itemId = dataset[:-2]
item = gis.content.get(itemId)
itemName = item['title']
#add blank description
item.update({'description':" "})
logger.info("HTTP Response of: {0} for layer: {1}. Layer Updated".format(HTTPresponse.status_code , itemName))
DataStatus[itemName] = [HTTPresponse.status_code,itemId]
else:
logger.error("HTTP Response of: {0} for layer: {1}".format(HTTPresponse.status_code , dataset))
DataStatus[itemName] = [HTTPresponse.status_code,itemId]
#will refresh the download cache
synch_url = "https://opendata.arcgis.com/api/sites/{0}/groups/synchronize.json?token={1}".format(self.OpenDataSite, self.token)
requests.put(synch_url, verify=False)

Hello- I am trying to convert a vb.net WinForms project from ArcObjects SDK 10 to ArcGIS Runtime SDK 10.2.7. This requires embedding a WPF UserControl in a Windows Form using ElementHost. I have managed to do this locally when pointing to my local SDK. To prepare for deployment I create a Runtime Manifest using the manifest designer. After creating a manifest , building my project fails with this error: C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS SDKs\DotNet10.2.7\ideintegration\ArcGISRuntime.targets(19,3): error MSB4044: The "BuildDeployment_10_2_7" task was not given a value for the required parameter "ProjectTypeGuids". My solution file holds the expected Project GUID for a VB.NET project: Project("{F184B08F-C81C-45F6-A57F-5ABD9991F28F}") Does anyone have any experience with this error, or using Runtime for a WinForms project? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Ahjung Kim You might want to consider creating a replica. However, this might be a premium service. The arcgis package appears to support this functionality: arcgis.features.managers module — arcgis 1.0.1 documentation

It sounds as if you have multiple python environments, neither of which have both arcpy and arcgis packages available. Here is what I did to run these together: 1)Install Pro 1.4 2)Added arcgis using Pro's package manager 3)Run script from Pro's python installation. In my case: C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\bin\Python\envs\arcgispro-py3\python.exe Please post a new question if this does not work for you. See screenshot of the package manager:
