How do I replace just the ArcGIS World Geocoding Service when using arcgis-search component?
Using the core Search widget I can use a function with searchViewModel.includeDefaultSources to replace just the default ArcGIS World Geocoding Service with another geocoding instance or remove this geocoder from the Search widgets sources. E.g. search.viewModel.includeDefaultSources = function(sourcesResponse) {…

5.0 -> 5.1: New Error
As the title says, updated the test environment to 5.0 to 5.1 (…99% because we needed the popup.effectiveHeading, a whole 'nother discussion). Now we're getting a really spammy console error, seems to be tied to the LayerList createItem or similar. The error doesn't appear to cause any issues with our app (why would it:…

Calcite Date Picker Year Dropdown
Hi. For the calcite date picker component (calcite-input-date-picker), the year is a text input control. I'd like to request that a new property be added to the component that would make the year input display as a dropdown (best to allow text input and dropdown picker). It's not very user friendly to switch back and forth…

OAuth popup authentication failure due to reliance on window.opener in Esri callback sample
Hello JS API team, I am facing an issue where our SSO applies hardened security measures and intentionally clears `window.opener`. I am currently working on an integration with Octave (aka EAM) which provides an ArcGIS Plugin. Their client application follows the sample and documentation provided by Esri, but as a…

Allow sorting layer list items without changing draw order
I have found discussion on this topic in couple of other threads (Permanently change the order in layer list widget , Choosing my own ordering of the layer options in a LayerList... ), but I'd like to bring it up here again as a concrete idea/request: I've heard from users several times that it would be handy for them to…

Popup Component Title Font Size
Hi. For my app, I need control over popups such that some open and close on hover and others on click. Therefore, I have disabled default popup for the view and am creating new popup components like below. Note that I'm intentionally using the component as my understanding is that widgets will be retired soon: //Create…

Runtime Feature Layers Not Detected by fetchPopupFeatures() in 5.1
I have been trying to build an application that can work even if the Enterprise Portal goes down. Because of this limitation, layers must be added at runtime. I cannot depend on a Webmap. I have not been able to find a non-deprecated way to get a Popup, Feature, or Features Component to detect a Feature or Map Image Layer…

Select graphics and features in layers with Sketch and Editor components
You can select graphics created from sketch in addition to features from existing layers on the map natively without any custom configuration, just with <arcgis-sketch> and <arcgis-editor> components. Here is an example app using <arcgis-sketch /> and <arcgis-editor />: *…

Let JS SDK use network topology
Pretty simple idea. Allow the JS SDK be able to take advantage of network topology. It was to my utter surprise that I learned that Trace Networks have been a exposed capability at the server level for a while, and that it isn't just a "Pro" thing. See below screen shot (apologies for the quality - I took this picture at…

esriConfig.portalURL and <arcgis-map> component

Feature Layer browser memory consumption at version 5.x

Have the sketch component labels persist
When drawing a shape using the sketch component, the lines are labelled with their length. However, once the shape has been drawn, the labels disappear. It is such a cool feature but it seems like the best part has been left out. Why can't they just stay and get resized as the shape is changed?
