When deploying the newest Electric Utility Network Enterprise v1 asset package it appears that it was created in Pro 2.7 which puts it at V5 and only compatible with Enterprise 10.9. I have Enterprise 10.8.1 and running Pro 2.6 so my utility networks are in V4 for the 10.8.1 Enterprise compatibility. Is there a way to downgrade or drop the asset package to V4 that Pro 2.6 can recognize to be able to apply to the Enterprise 10.8.1 server environment? If not that any user not on Enterprise 10.9 can not utilize the Electric Utility Network Enterprise package and are forced to use the Electric Network Foundation packages which have already been moved to mature support.

Ok, I will see if I can get my data applied to the Enterprise version. I read this documentation https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-solutions/latest/reference/introduction-to-electric-data-management-for-arcgis-enterprise.htm and it had requirements of 10.9 so I assumed it wouldn't work in 10.8 or older versions of Pro. Since transferring my data from Foundation to Enterprise doesn't sound like an easy feat. Is there a way to model this within the Foundation Model while I work on upgrading to the latest model? Or is it the Enterprise model or nothing?

Two notes on your drawing. You change the Device to an Underground Three Phase Load Break. However I have an overhead Three Phase Load Break. You are also calling out an Underground Phase Connection for the Junction. I do not have this. Looking at the schemas it look like this junction is in Electric Data Management for ArcGIS Enterprise v1, which requires ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9. I'm on ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8 and the Electric Foundation. My version was downloaded in May.

I'm sorry please bear with me, but I believe my question still stands. What are you using for the Tap on a 3 phase underground line (this would be your orange dots on the north/south line). According to the default rules an overhead tap is not allowed on an underground line. For line connections it looks like I can use Underground Solid Connection or Underground Splice on an underground line. However, in the Junction-Junction Rules neither can can be associated to a Overhead Three Phase Load Break Switch. I have the Overhead Tap on the 3 phase Overhead line (east/west on your picture) associated to my Overhead Three Phase Load Break Switch without issue. It is getting the underground line associated is where I'm running into issue, which is the important line as this is the line the switch is effecting.

I think I'm closer with your drawing but still have a few questions. You have a Line End listed on your drawing. In Line Ends you have an option for an asset type of Overhead Line End (overhead) and Riser (underground). So if you put a Riser where you have your black dot on your drawing for Line end because that is an 3 phase Underground Line how do you do the association between your overhead three phase load break switch to the riser, as there is no Junction to Junction Connectivity Rules for that? Or am I using the wrong junction for that underground 3 phase line?

I have a what are others doing for the Electric Utility Network question. I have several cases where we have a Overhead Switch located at where an Overhead and Underground Medium Voltage Line is coming together, but the switch itself is only affecting the Underground line. For example at a pole we have an overhead line running east and west. They then tap onto that with a short lead to connect the switch. Then on the other side of the switch is lines going north from the Switch (which is mounted overhead to a pole) to underground. The switch is not affecting the east/west line at all, it is only effecting the underground line. So problem number 1 is I have an overhead switch on a underground line, default rules don't like. Problem number 2 is I have to set the terminals of the switch and I can't set a terminal of an overhead switch to an underground line. I was thinking about just adding a rule that an overhead switch can intersect an underground line. Or, are others outlining all the taps of small runs overhead on each side of the switch and then not putting a device where the underground and overhead lines meet? Just trying to figure out the best coarse here without making it to complicated. I added two images to this post. One is the GIS of where we just have the overhead switch on the pole and the underground and overhead is connected to that switch. The other is a very rough drawing that the engineers drew out for me to explain what was happening at this particular location. I do have other locations that are not T intersections like this example, but just where an line stops as overheads and starts as underground and there is a overhead switch there. Rough drawing of location by Engineering GIS with Overhead Switch at pole and UG and OH lines meeting it

You you do something like this based off a selection instead of visible content. For example if I see a water main and water line services. I would want to only show the data for one of hose water line services. The way that some service lines start out they are in the same vicinity and then veer off from each other. So doing only extent will always grab both. I don't know if the filter will work, because they will randomly go from house to house and not exactly know what filters to use.

Do they have Pad Mounted Switch as an Asset Type in the Electric Network for a device for Medium Voltage. On the Assembly I'm seeing Overhead Load Break Switch, Overhead Disconnect Switch, Pad Mounted Switch, and Underground Switch. On the Devices I'm seeing Overhead Single and Three Phase Disconnect, Overhead Three and Single Phase Load Break, Underground Single and Three Phase Disconnect, Underground Single and Three Phase Load Break, but NO Pad Mounted Switch. They only have Pad Mounted Recloser and Sectionalizer. Why would they have it as an Assembly Option but not a device option? Or am I missing something?

This service is a published map image. No editing capabilities. I tried it in a brand new web map but still the same thing that it would go out further than what I defined in map prior to publishing it. I defined the max. scale because 99% of the maps that I will use for this service will need that scale set, so I didn't want to have to set in every web map I add it too. This is a one off case where I don't want it and I was trying avoid the need to publish ANOTHER service just for this one special map.

I have a service created in Enterprise 10.8.1 and Pro 2.6 where I have a maximum. visibility range set and no minimum range set. I have loaded this into a Web Map in Portal 10.8.1. For this ONE map I want to remove the maximum visibility range. I have gone into the Change Style Options and slide the slider all the way to the left to show at all scales. However, it still doesn't not display the data at a higher level than what I set in the published service. If I change the minimum with the Change Style Options is reflects that change. Is there a way to override this visibility setting in a web map or what you publish in the service is your only option. I have SEVERAL other maps set up pointing to this service where I want that maximum range set and I only want to change it for just this one map. My other only solution I have come up with is publishing an entire new service with the visibility range not set, but that seems a little much as they will just eat of more resources on the server for just one map.

I have an existing Cached service with 10 scales. I would like to add a 11th without completely setting up the service. I'm working in Enterprise 10.8.1 and ArcMap 10.8.1. Within ArcMap I ran the tool Manage Map Server Cache Scales and it said it was successful. However when I go to ArcGIS Manager or the Service Directory I don't see that new scale and when I try to manage the scales through ArcCatalog to run it, I don't see the new scale there either.

I have a Water Utility Network AND a Sewer Utility Network Set up. I have added an easting and northing field to both Networks under my Devices and Junctions. I'm trying to run the Calculate Geometry via the Attribute table on a selected feature (s) with the property being the X or Y coordinate in my local coordinate system, however it creates an error against an attribute rule every time. It is pretty much the exact same error in Water as it is in Sewer in both Devices and Junctions. I could copy and paste the geometry Easting and Northing from the Geometry tab, but I have several to do and this will happen monthly. So if I would be faster if I could just select several at once and then run the calculation tool instead of copying two bearings per point. I also don't want to create an attribute rule for this as I only want the Easting and Northing to be filled out on certain ones and I don't want the field changing if it accidentally gets moved. In addition I tried this via an exported asset package without the network enabled and the Calculate Geometry works as expected.

I'm attempting this using my hosted portal. I was able to get it to work correctly on my web map, but when I go to Collector nothing shows up. Has anyone else experienced this when using this method? I have guys doing inspection reports within Collector and they won't to only show the points that haven't been inspected in the last 4 months.
