Mike, You say ArcGIS collector can modify data in the utility network. Does the named user utilizing collector have to have an Utility network extension assigned to them?

Is there a way to create a link of the current extent to open another web application? I have to Web Applications both built in WebApp Builder (one in ArcGIS Online and one in Portal). I would like a link on the one Application (Online) that a user can click that opens the second application at the same extent. I see in the Share Tool that I'm using it provides a URL to give to someone that has the current extent with the current map (see below). I pretty much want a similar link that pretty much does the same thing except where I can put the second application id in, instead of giving the current map. https://xxxxxx.org/parcgis/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=xxxxxx&extent=-10954836.1057%2C4952499.025%2C-10954582.1052%2C4952628.2742%2C102100

How did you reset the feature creation templates? I open my original service (the one I'm using in Pro) that is based of Asset Group only in a map in Portal. I then did a filter in that web map to show just my service connections. But when I go to the edit tab of the web map there is no way to update my templates. Or were you doing this all in Pro before you published the feature service?

So it looks to be close to what I want. But I have a present status, current volume, and active volume status in sewer devices that don't seem to be filling out with the default value (these are required fields and all domain fields). But the Terminal Configuration is filling out and so is Life Cycle Status and Owned and Maintained By with all their default domain fields. Why would some of the default values fill out when creating new features and some not. I checked the template variables in my Pro Project that I created the service off and these fields are defined in that.

I still can't get this to work. I'm wondering if this has to do something with the fact that I'm editing to a service instead of directly to the SDE. I have attached a screenshot of my what the attribute rule looks like via the published service (left) and what it looks like when I created it directly against the SDE (right).

I have an Sewer Utility Network built out and functioning. I would like to set up a service that field user can collect data on certain types of asset types via collector. For example I want them to collect service lines but not mains and on fittings I want them to collect 6 certain types but not the rest. I have set up a map in pro linked directly to by SDE and set up templates for the assets I want them to track along with all the default values. The ones that I want to track has them broke down by asset group and asset type. The features that I don't want them to edit within that layer I just have them removed. However when I publish the feature service and test the map within portal, the Asset Types are showing as numbers instead of the descriptions. For example a Commercial Service Connection has a 1 in Asset Type instead of Commercial and all the required fields that have defaults built into the layer and the template do automatically fill out. If I test my Network Assembly that doesn't have any breakdown of layers and is being displayed as asset group only than I don't have this issue. I would prefer for the ones they are collected to be broke down to asset group and asset type so the symbols are different and they just select the one they want from the add menu to keep things more streamlined. Especially on the fittings they will only be needing to add 8 of 20 options. I would have to scroll through a list of 20 to find just the one they want. Is this possible????? I have attached some screen shots of my setup .

Just to verify. I'm really new to these type of things. So here is my breakdown of my relationships and fields. This is all in a SDE database. Water Device (this contains the hydrants) contains fields GLOBALID (globalID field) and hast_assetid (Utility assetID text field) Hydrant Inspection table contains fields hyrantid (Guid field) and hast_assetid (Utility assetID text field) The relationship between the two are Hydrant ID and Global ID with a 1 to many relationship. I want the hast_assetid to in Water Device to be automatically copied to hast_assetid (Utility assetID text field) in Hydrant Inspection upon creation. So with your above coding would this be right? With this being in an SDE geodatabase shared out to a feature service for the datastore do I need to fill that out or do water.waterdevice or fill out the hydrant FC differently? // rule in Inspection table
// triggers: insert, update
// field: Utility_AssetID
// value of shared field
var key = $feature["hydrantid"]
// search for related features in Hydrant Devices FC
var hydrant_devices = FeatureSetByName($datastore, "WaterDevice", ["GLOBALID", "hast_assetid"], false)
var filtered_devices = Filter(hydrant_devices, "GLOBALID= @key")
// no related features found
if(Count(filtered_devices) == 0) {
return null
}
// related feature(s) found -> return Utility_AssetID of the first one
return First(filtered_devices)["hast_assetid"]

Just for an update. I exported my asset package and set up completely new SDE geodatabase, service and all and it working. ESRI still can't tell me what went wrong in the process of the creation the first. But it is now working. Since others is also having issue I'm curious to know if their validating issues started happening immediately after creating the geodatabase and service or if was working and then eventually broke.

I'm not good with attribute rule coding and needing a little help. I'm trying to set up an attribute rule where it will take a field data from a layer and auto populate a field in the related table with the same data. I have run across a few threads where you are populating the layer for the table but not this way. Here is my example (I'm using a SDE SQL) Hydrant Device Feature Class is Related to Hydrant Maintenance Inspection Table. I want the Utility_AssetID field in Hydrant Device to auto-populate the Utility_AssetID field in the Hydrant Maintenance Inspection Table upon creation of the inspection.

Please allow this alias name. I have 3 GIS folders on 3 different servers that I access for data. I don't have the ability to rename those GIS folders because that is managed file infrastructure by the IT department. Showing the file path would be an ideal option so I can tell which folder on which server I'm accessing.

Checking the Exclude from application evaluation on all of the assetID rules did the trick. I'm still curious to know what the setting actually does and if it needs to be checked on any of the other rules within the Sewer Network or if there is some sort of documentation that has that information in it.

I will give that a try. Can you explain what that check mark is and what it does and was it a bug somewhere that that wasn't automatically checked? I brought this all over. I didn't modify any rules from the default ESRI Sewer Asset Package.

I just created a brand new Sewer Utility Network and have the service published and I'm trying to add new features. When I draw a new feature I automatically get the attached error message stating "Failed to evaluate Arcade expression". I can see the attribute rules both in my SDE properties and in my published service properties. I also already created a Water Utility Network with the same workflow and did not have this issue. I get this for EVERY feature when trying to create a new one.

Has this been a permanent solution or just a temporary one. I have done this straight to my SDE and it does clear out the dirty areas, but as soon as I make a new one and try to validate again then I get error messages. I believe it is bad practice to constantly disable and enable network topology so I really don't want to do that every time I make an edit.
