You should be able to create a view on your gdb that would add some columns to your parent table from the related table. We have this setup for some symbology on a webmap that we feed into Collector. The features are the parent table, and there is a related inspections table. Our SQL statement pulls the most recent inspection (lastprocessed) and determines how long ago it was (dayssincelastprocessed) and adds that number of days into the view's extra columns. I bet you could do the same thing in this situation but just pull the first record in the related table. You'd then publish the view as a feature service and feed it into your map. I'm not super good with SQL but maybe this could give a launch point: The two columns added to the end of the parent table as a view: The SQL statement we're using: SELECT a.*, (SELECT max(b.inspectiondate) FROM CriticalFacilitiesInspectionsTable_evw AS b WHERE a.facilityid=b.facilityid) AS lastprocessed, DATEDIFF(day,(SELECT max(b.inspectiondate) FROM CriticalFacilitiesInspectionsTable_evw AS b WHERE a.facilityid=b.facilityid), GETDATE()) AS DaysSinceLastProcessed FROM ssgravitymain_evw AS a

Well my EEAP tech guru suggested I could turn off editor tracking prior to do any copying/appending/etc. and turn it back on once I get the data where I want it. This seems to work quite well. I'd still however like to be able to situate the fields in the Survey 123 viewer based on customer requests.

Did this ever get resolved? Will it work in the expression builder now? Update: I just tried this and unfortunately it doesn't work. Strangely, the TextFormatting.NewLine option is available under the "Constants" tab, but when you click the help button you get this message even though the test box is showing it as working:

I'd like to be able to reorder fields in the Survey123 webviewer. Currently, you have to completely re-copy the service into a new one and republish with the fields in the order you'd like. You then have to append your old data to the new service. The problem is that all of the last edited and last user info is wiped out when you do this. I have several survey's that we've added fields to in the form after the initial publishing, but they always end up in the right-most column of the viewer.

Hi there! I'm one of those rare specimens of GIS professionals that are colorblind, and I'm having trouble with setting my symbology in webmaps because there is no mouseover text to tell me what color I'm choosing (see image #1). I can kind of tell by the hex number, but it'd be nice to have the color information show like it does in MS Word (see image #2) Image 1 (AGOL Webmap): Image 2 (MS Word interface): Thanks, David Forbuss GIS Technician Rogue Valley Sewer Services 138 West Vilas Road Central Point, OR 97502 RVSS.US 541-664-6300 ext. 238

Well it looks like that won't work based on what i read in this post: https://community.esri.com/thread/204340-editing-multiple-feature-services-in-a-single-form-in-survey123-for-arcgis I added a new field (set to a yes/no domain) to the parent service and republished it. I suppose I could have the field crews manually set the "needs attention" field to 'Yes' for now until I can figure out a way to have Survey123 automatically set it to 'Yes' upon submission. I saw a few people saying that they pulled it off using webhooks, so maybe I'll look into that a bit further.

Hi there, I'm trying to get this working, but I need the field to update for one single specific row. Is that possible? I imagine some sort of selection would need to take place. Here's what I'm trying to do: Feature Point layer>>related table (written to via Survey 123) with globalIDs from parent feature point layer. I need GeoEvent to watch that related table for new entries, and when a new one is created, set a "needs attention" flag to "Yes" on the parent feature layer (determined via the globalID). Once a user responds to the request, they can just edit the parent point layer and change the flag to "No". Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks, David Forbuss

Well...I couldn't get it to work the way I wanted to because neither my feature class or the related table are hosted features, so the last option "save as a hosted view", which enables live updating wasn't available. I ended up digging through my email to find an old SQL statement that my ESRI tech adviser helped me put together that creates a view on the geodatabase and then published that view as a service. I only needed a one-one join to get the most recent inspection date, so I'm not sure how this would work with 1-M joins. For what I need though, it seems to be working pretty well so far. Interestingly, we were previously on a postgreSQL backend and the view was so slow I couldn't hardly use it. Now that we've switched over to SQL server it seems quite a bit faster. Anyway, here is the statement that I used...modify as needed: SELECT a.*, (SELECT max(b.inspectiondate) FROM CriticalFacilitiesInspectionsTable_evw AS b WHERE a.facilityid=b.facilityid) AS lastprocessed, DATEDIFF(day,(SELECT max(b.inspectiondate) FROM CriticalFacilitiesInspectionsTable_evw AS b WHERE a.facilityid=b.facilityid), GETDATE()) AS DaysSinceLastProcessed FROM ssgravitymain_evw AS a Good Luck! Feel free to contact me if you need any help! **Disclaimer: I'm not super good at SQL but I'm working on it : )

I'm now running into this issue now as well. My feature class and the table I want to join are technically accessible, but they are not set to "public". Since the tool is hosted outside of the network, do they need credentials in order to perform the join? Would temporarily setting them to "public/everyone", then creating the join, then setting them back to restricted permissions work?

We use AWS to run our desktop products and connect to our enterprise server at another site. Keep in mind that ArcGIS Pro requires the graphics package from AWS and the price is quite a bit more. I'm currently running the non-graphics package with 16GB of memory and it runs all of the desktop products very well, but ArcGIS Pro struggles a bit. It's usable for doing table edits and running some geoprocessing tools, but it bogs down quite a bit when viewing the map. I really wish ESRI would separate out the the 3D fuctionality of Pro so those of us that don't need it can run it on machines w/o a graphics card.

I'm running into this problem as well. Without a doubt, most my changes are happening after the users have gotten a chance to use the surveys. It's really frustrating that I risk losing the data they've already created if the changes to the survey are drastic. I've gotten around this somewhat by creating a copy of the feature service, setting it up the way I want, and then appending the "old" set to the newly created one.
