While in a group page, you can select the item type to filter on (maps, apps, layers, etc...). Is it possible to to select multiple types for your filter? I'd like to be able to view Apps and Maps at the same time. I tried formatting the link to include 'focus=maps&focus=apps', but it just returns all items in the group. Selecting the Maps filter formats the link like this: [XX/home/group.html?id=65e50fc1fc9548d783cb95cbebfb724a&view=list&sortOrder=asc&sortField=title&focus=maps#content] I tried this and it didn't work: [XX/home/group.html?id=65e50fc1fc9548d783cb95cbebfb724a&view=list&sortOrder=asc&sortField=title&focus=maps&focus=apps#content] Any help would be much appreciated! -David

Our director was quite frank with me when I asked this same question. He said "We want people to have our data..." It was a complete 180 from my previous employer because they didn't want any of our data to be shared. I guess it just depends on the agency and/or data content. We tend to keep customer data pretty private, but as far as our sewer system maps go, they are shared freely with the public.

Awesome! Glad you got it resolved! I was going to suggest using incognito mode to load the map/add the service because that's worked for me in the past.

Has this been fixed? I know you can place arrows at the endpoints, but I really need to be able to place them at intervals along the line. Is that possible to do yet? The problem with using the endpoints is that the area gets really noisy with the node and its label (in our case manholes) and up to four lines connected.

Hi Brianna, There was a post about this a while back, and it seemed that they were working on a solution. I haven't gotten it to work on my end. I know some people will overlay a tile layer that has the arrows separate, but I didn't like doing that because my network changes daily and I'd have to update the tile layer each time to avoid having arrows floating in the line's old location. I'm glad you brought this up though because I'd really like to get this working as well. Here's the old post: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online-questions/flow-direction-arrows-arcgis-online/m-p/448951

I've had this happen as well with both hosted and non-hosted layers. It seems ArcPro might do a kind of cache because edits will show immediately in collector, but lag in ArcPro. We're kind of thinking that our network firewall might play a role because it seems to only happen at our office -- when we were working from home it wasn't happening.

Ok thanks Ismael. As a temporary fix I've been having the users enter the addresses manually into that text box, but some have gotten confused being that there are two places to enter it. Maybe I can put an explanation into the hint or something for now.

Does anyone know of a way to grab the address that is returned in the geopoint map (via a geocoder) into a separate text field so that information can be recorded? As far as I can tell, it only records/displays the coordinates for the point once you choose an address from the autofill options. I'd like that address to be shown to the responders and be searchable by office staff later.

Thanks for the quick response Ismael! I ended up adding a field to my form like you said and it's working now 🙂 The original submitter has to put in their address, and then I pass that onto just the "case closed" route.

Hi I'm setting up some notifications using integromat, and I was wondering if there was a way to pass the original submitter's email address to subsequent edits of the survey from the inbox. Here's my current setup: orignal survey submitted(case opened)>>integromat uses the currently logged in email address to cc the submitter for record keeping (in addition to a static list of emails): Then I send out response emails once the survey is edited (case closed). The problem is the the response is cc-ing the currently logged in responder, not the original submitter. Does anyone know if there is a way to pass that orginal person's email address to the response outgoing so they get confirmation that their submission was responded to? Is there a way to store that from the choice list/select one option?

We need this ability too for photo documenting sewer and stormwater features. We used to use a Trimble Geo7x that would timestamp our photos. We have since done a complete GIS overhaul that included switching to Collector for our GPS work.

It's my understanding that this is a security measure put in place so local files cannot be opened via a link. You'll probably have to host the file online somewhere as mentioned above.

We've actually had great luck with collector. Most of the issues for us have been related to how the webmaps were setup (i.e. editing enabled/disabled when it shouldn't have been, related tables not added, etc). We recently purchased an EOS Arrow GPS to pair with our iPads and the accuracy level has been fantastic. We aren't doing any offline editing or syncing though, so our setup is likely much less complicated than what you're doing, but overall Collector has been a pretty smooth integration for us.

I'd like a message such as "You've recently added a submission to the table, and must now wait 2 minutes before doing so again." I'm trying to avoid duplicate submissions because the user might have mistakenly thought the first one didn't go through.

Yeah that's one of the issues I have with ArcGIS Pro as well. I spoke with an ESRI employee, and he explained that they chose to develop Pro with 3D functionality "baked" in, so the video card requirements are huge. He also said, in his opinion, they should have split the 3D portion out and made it an addon so that those of us that do not need the 3D functions wouldn't have to meet these crazy video card requirements. We use Amazon Workspaces quite a bit, and unfortunately their video card capable package is way out of reach for us budget wise, so I'm kind of stuck using ArcMap for the time being. Really wish there was a way to disable the 3D portion of PRO. I completely agree with your cartography statement....it takes me WAY too long to get a map looking the way I need it to in PRO. The tools/options to modify even simple items on the map are buried under sometimes multiple layers of sub-options.
