I am working through this with Esri Support case number 01695480 The only work around so far is: 1) Save As a new app, but this breaks all the widgets 2) Changing the theme to a new theme, but this also breaks all the widgets. No clue as to what is causing the problem as we cannot replicate it.

Thank you Bill Fox, Rebecca Strauch, GISP, and Robert Scheitlin for your response. But so far nothing proposed has fixed the problem. This has happened with 2 separate applications where Save turns to Saved and nothing can change it. - deleting a widget - changing the name of the title - adding a widget - signing out and back in - clearing history / cookies - different browser - incognito mode in Chrome So I am hoping someone at Esri can propose a workaround and notify us if there is an existing bug. This is an absolute 'showstopper' because if you have a live application, you cannot just take it down and start over.

Anyone know why I would be missing the 'App Registration' button on a Web AppBuilder app I built? Documentation I followed: Add items—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS / Register your app. When I go to my item details page [step 3] and I do not have the App Registration section. Any ideas? Has this workflow changed? I need to make the Analysis widget accessible to 'Everyone' (dangerous I know) but this does not seem to work as I expected. Ryan Lanclos

Has anyone else had an issue where you suddenly can no longer make new changes to their web mapping app in Web AppBuilder? All of a sudden the "Save" button is stuck on "Saved"? It is probably a known bug, but does anyone know of a workaround other than starting over?

Russell Roberts - Thanks for getting back to us! This is an important capability for Public Safety Users. I will check with Phil to confirm but I believe he is using a hosted feature service with editing enabled and proper permissions. Here is the situation as it was described to me. Phil belongs to Organization A. Fire Captain belongs to Organization B. Phil creates an ArcGIS Online Group and invites the Fire Captain to it, who accepts the invitation. Phil creates a feature service and shares it with Organization A and the Group. Phil creates a web map with the feature service and shares both web map and feature service into the Group. When Phil or other members of Organization A access the web map, they can edit in the viewer and Collector. When Fire Captain from Organization B accesses the web map, he can view it, but cannot edit. @Phil_Belin - can you confirm this is the case?

Tim - I do not know of any that are public. But there are 100m layer packages available on ArcGIS online and in a pinch I have published these as feature services. http://www.arcgis.com/home/search.html?q=owner%3AFederal_User_Community%20layer%20packages%2C%20USNG&t=content Let me know if you find any. - Paul

*IMPORTANT* See my note below about using a USNG Geocoder as a Utility across your entire ArcGIS Online Account. Configure utility services—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS Ok some options. If you have the option to create custom deployment (host-your-own) Use Tim's widget it is awesome. Location Widget If you are using the hosted WebApp Builder only You can use the Search widget with a USNG / MGRS geocoding service eg MGRS (GeocodeServer) Don't forget the Coordinate widget can be configured with USNG display and reverse geocoder The NGA_US_National_Grid (MapServer) map service does an OK job of displaying USNG on the map, but it should be used in conjunction with spatially explicit tools like the ones listed above. Please keep the discussion going and if anyone has other ideas add to this thread. See my screenshot of the hosted WebApp Builder I configured using these options, link: ArcGIS Web Application

Thanks Tim Witt - nice simple interface. I was also able to add USNG to the Search widget using this geocoding service http://arcgis-emergencymanagement-2057568539.us-east-1.elb.amazonaws.com/arcgis/rest/services/Locator/MGRS/GeocodeServer But this may just be a sample service and I am not sure of the source.

It seems there is no way to provide a web map or web mapping application where someone can simply type in US National Grid coordinates and zoom to that location on the map. Has anyone built this yet or is it in the pipeline at Esri? I am hoping there will be a geocoding service stood up or a custom widget built so we can provide this service to map users. The National Alliance for Public Safety GIS Foundation (NAPSG) and a small group of volunteers produced a charter document to establish a working group under this 501 (C) (3) not-for-profit organization. Here is an excerpt. "The Goal of this Working Group is to create an international network of SAR-based GIS and public safety officials who can share lessons learned, best practices, maps/apps, and other tools and experiences utilizing GIS." At the time this occurred my colleague was in Ontario and I was in Quebec. I had no other connectivity issues and was able to access email etc. on my network at home. It was the only page I was having issues with but to be honest in general arcgis online seems to run slower in this corner of Canada. Do you think in reality it was a timeout error? In any case the last time I emailed support they said they can only help me with desktop support since my license is a home use. Bummer. I will keep an eye on it and let you know if I see or hear any other issues with the Dev site. Sent from my iPhone
