Hi Erica - we will release this functionality in 1.19. In the mean time please go to https://earlyadopter.esri.com/key/ArcGISQuickCapture in order to test the Beta version of the app.

Hi Erica, are your users working offline? What is the extent that they are covering and do they need to see the tracks and observations of other users?

Hi. The starting point of a QuickCapture project is not a map, it is a feature layer. You will need to select the feature layers ( addresses and state sidewalks) you want to send records to. Once you create you project, you can then select your map as the project map in project settings. This means that the user will be able to view the map in the mobile application. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/quickcapture/help/editproject.htm

Hi - The 10.8.1 hosted version of the QuickCapture designer does not support link buttons (as it is too old). However, if you go here: https://www.arcgis.com/apps/quickcapture/ and choose the option to Sign in with ArcGIS Enterprise (and enter your Enterprise URL), you will be able to use the latest version of the online designer with your Enterprise. This will give you access to link buttons.

Hi Edga - we are looking into this issue. For now, we have a workaround: 1. Choose 'Sign in with ArcGIS Enterprise' 2. Enter the URL of www.arcgis.com 3. Press and hold the 'NEXT' button, until you see the 'External browser' option. 4. Tap on the 'External browser' option. This will launch the default browser for the device and you can sign in using your Google account. We'll update this post once we have a fix available.

Hi - This functionality is not supported in the QuickCapture app, and there is currently no way to customize it (we are gathering requirements on this for future updates). For now I would raise this as an idea: Provide the option to define a custom colour for when a button is active. In the future, we will be adding support for Geotriggers (alterts being given to the user when they enter or leave a specific area). Would this be helpeful for your scenario?

OID fields are system-managed and cannot be edited. To achieve the desired symbology for your target feature layer, you should update it to use a unique symbol renderer based on the "status" field. For example, you could set it to display red for "occupied" and green for "vacant." You can set the symbology for a layer in the ArcGIS Online Map Viewer style options. When you submit features using QuickCapture, you will see that the corect symbology is applied to the submitted features (when viewing the layer in a web map), as long as you specify "occupied" or "vaccant" in the "status" field. In cases where the status changes for a site, you will need to update/edit that value within the existing feature. This can be accomplished through the ArcGIS Online Map Viewer. However, if you require field-based editing capabilities, you might want to consider using Survey123, as this field app supports it (while QuickCapture is for new data capture only). Feel free to ask if you need any more assistance or have additional questions.

Hi Ken, here is the associated idea for this feature: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-quickcapture-ideas/support-offline-map-areas-in-quickcapture/idc-p/1170967#M161 Please plus one on it, to raise its priority. To date there are no firm dates to implement this feature, but we are still taking requirements. Thanks for sharing.

Hi GIS412, This inidcates that the value being submitted is too large for the target field, however QuickCapture should prevent this from happening. Can you email the recovery .qcr file to [email protected]? I'll take a look. Thanks John

@CarlBeyerhelm1 - The symbology you are seeing is for records that have not been sent to ArcGIS (i.e. they are still local to the device). At the moment local records are always turquoise. You will need to create a web map that contains the layer(s) that QuickCapture is updating, and set this as the project map in the designer settings. Once the features are sent to ArcGIS (and the map updates), you will see them in the correct layer symbology. Note that we are working on an enhancement to update the symbology of local features so that match that of the project buttons, or the target feature layers.
