Hi Alicia You would need to use the beta JavaScript functionality described here: Welcome to our Feedback Community With some basic development skills, you will be able to perform a spatial query against a polygon layer and use the returned attribute to populate a question in your form. Thanks John

Hi Dan You can edit existing features using the Survey123 inbox. In your workflow, you would need to run an inbox query to pull down the collector submitted features/records, and then select the relevant feature/related table in the inbox ready for editing. You would then be able to add new records to the related tables or update existing values. We do have an enhancement open to allow you to use a custom url to download/open a specified feature in the inbox - and this would make the process more streamlined, as you could use a link to get to the record. I note that you are creating both parent and child features when submitting data via your surveys. It is also possible to create a survey that targets the related table directly, meaning that you can add inspections to the related table without submitting a duplicate of the asset (to the feature service). You could, in fact, use the custom url from Collector to launch a new survey targetting the related table, prepopulated with the GUID used to link it back to the parent feature. I can provide more information on this workflow if required. Thanks John

Hi Anu Could you provide me with the database schema? - i.e. no records just the field names/types as a file geodatabase. Also, could you share an example of the survey submission and response JSON? - again this could be dummy data (use Fiddler to capture this). Feel free to email me on [email protected] To make the above easier, please strip down the survey, removing as many questions as possible, while ensuring the error still happens. Thanks John

Hi Nick I love the art work on your group! I had a look at the service that you shared and can see that it does not have a related table in it. This means that when you republished the service the table and layer were not related. This is the cause of the breakage in the website. I also tested your workflow and can confirm that overwriting the service with a downloaded version of the data should preserve the relationship between the layer and table - and not cause issues. Thanks John

Hi Erik - yes permissions are user based and not app based. If a user can see and edit records in the Survey123 app, they will be able to see and edit records in AGOL. Thanks John

Hi Erik - you have a couple of options: 1) Use editor tracking to ensure that users can only see the features they have collected 2) Disable query, so users can't see any existing features. See the following for more information on these options: Manage hosted feature layers—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS If you want editors to only see the features they create, select Editors can only see their own features (requires tracking) under the What features can editors see? setting. Enable this option if the layer contains sensitive or proprietary information such as medical records or research data for which editors might only have clearance to work with the data they collect. If you don't want editors to see any features, including those they add, choose Editors can't see any features, even those they add under the What features can editors see? setting Thanks John

When you did the Overwrite Web Layer in Pro - did you have both feature layer and the related table loaded into the table of contents? Also, can you share the service and database you are using to update it? Thanks John

Please can you retest this survey after clearing your browser cache - I believe this issue was fixed in the last release. See the published version of your survey: https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/ac9c8bb3958c4fbe98ecb0c0fe49b7f1 which is working for me.

Hi Jenson This is the expected behavior. The required property for a question is stored in Survey123 form item only, not the feature service. Collector only looks at the feature service and does not read the form item. Thanks John
