I was looking for an idea like this to upvote. I keep trying to use Attribute Rules, but they fall short for everything I need to do. 1) Main example: I'm trying to autopopulate the municipality name on a point layer. I'm not going to have multiple copies of the municipalities layer floating out there on multiple databases. This leads to confusion among users as to which is the most up to date. Are they all being updated? Do they differ in some way? So I want to use the production layer of municipalities that lives on our production (read-only) database against the point layer on our editing database. Can't do intersect across databases with Attribute Rules. 2) Calculating Lat/Long isn't possible. I only ever need it in WGS84 decimal degrees, but Arcade only gives the XY value in the layer's coordinate system. No built in re-projection capabilities. While someone has figured out custom code to convert web mercator to WGS84, that doesn't help with any of our editing because we edit in our local coordinate system to be more accurate. Attribute Assistant had a built in expression for it, making it super easy. ... View more

I was trying to run a spatial join on a hosted feature layer in ArcGIS Online with a local feature class in Pro. Got this error: ERROR 160244: Object has no schema locks.  I reprojected the local feature class into web mercator like the hosted feature layer and then it worked fine for me. ... View more

My issue: hosted feature layer (ArcGIS Online) won't show up in storymap basic app embedded in civicplus website  - across Chrome, Edge, Internet Explorer  - everything is public  - anonymous access enabled in AGO org  - everything over https  - thought custom symbology was issue, still happening with built-in symbology  - URL for embedding is arcgis.com  - can see it fine in just the app: https://arcg.is/1y4L41, just not when embedded: https://www.washtenaw.org//snp (Find a Senior Cafe tab)   - no errors showing up in browsers' dev tools ... Please upvote this similar idea: Ability to add Related Records via Item Details Data tab  Another use case: tables with metrics that populate a dashboard. These tables don't have a spatial component so you can't "create a new GIS feature" to add a new record. I'm trying to get the departments to be able to maintain their own dashboards, but they aren't GIS-savvy so trying to teach them Pro hasn't gone well and exporting the table, editing it, and reuploading it is time-consuming and confusing for them. ...
