Is the web adapter on the same server as portal? When "restarting" it, did you restart the whole server or refresh the app pools or restart IIS? What version of Enterprise are you on? Your situation reminded me of this thread: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-enterprise-questions/arcgis-web-adaptor-11-1-app-pool-freezes/m-p/1291473#M36004 which I believe we encountered recently as well, but it's so infrequent it's hard to pin down

No solution yet, unfortunately... I'm trying to build our election results in story maps again 2 years later and it's still an issue. It makes it look like the app failed to load properly and hides some of the content. I bet users will just navigate away if it doesn't look good. If we either had an option to 1) align content to the top of the side car or 2) always center it in the side car (so you're scrolling underneath it still but it stays floating and centered in your view) that would be great.

I agree. The white space at the top of each sidecar makes it look like the app is broken because it loads with the content half off the page. Please allow us to align the content to the top or center (of the current view) of the sidecar. Please upvote this idea

running into this issue as well. trying to label soil polygons and when they zoom in closely to an area, they can't see the labels because they don't redraw to the new extent, they stay near the centroid

@CatP thanks for the idea! Here's some python to generate a list of users in a particular group for when I want to bulk apply something to them and can't search on that group: from arcgis.gis import GIS
username="USERNAMEHERE"
password="PASSWORDHERE"
agol = GIS("https://ORGNAMEHERE.maps.arcgis.com",username,password)
thegroup = agol.groups.search('title:NAMEOFGROUP')[0].get_members()
userlist = thegroup['users']
answer = ''
for x in userlist:
answer = answer + x + " OR "
answer[:-4]

When adding users to a supporting team in Hub Premium, you get a "Customize Notification" screen with only Nevermind or Invite action options. I don't want to spam my users with unnecessary emails. Please allow an option to not send an email and just invite them silently. There will be plenty of future communications about the initiative they're a part of.

Our workaround has been Hub Premium for creating users for partner organizations and volunteers who need access to non-public maps and apps. I realize the cost is prohibitive to many organizations, though.

Thanks for bringing this up. I had assumed it wasn't going to be affected, but I would prefer to see that in writing. Please update us if you hear a reply from your account rep.

ArcGIS Community Analyst is being retired. I confirmed with our rep that this means it will no longer be included with ArcGIS Hub Premium nor will Business Analyst be included as a substitute. As the blog post mentions, these two products are so similar that they are redundant. Community Analyst was included to help organizations more effectively connect with and understand their communities. That need still exists. Please consider including Business Analyst licenses so we can get the most out of ArcGIS Hub, even if it's just the standard version.

I ran into this same issue today. This time I only have 2 precincts so I can't set manual classes in ArcGIS Online. For any data set with live values coming in that you aren't certain what they'll be, it would be very helpful to be able to make custom classes. For now, I think I'll use equal interval so I can have a different color for each 10%, but that's not what the customer wants to see. That's too many colors. They want to be able to see small nuances for around only 0-30%, so they really need custom class sizes. Hi @AndrewBryson1 , sorry I missed your reply. I do have experience with ArcGIS Assistant, but that's beyond the capabilities of the average user so my idea is hoping this functionality can be built into the map viewer.

Users have to select a filter first, otherwise the pin disappears but it's still outlined on the map and showing in the Near Me results. Can there be an option of automatically refreshing the Near Me query if the filter selections change?

Please allow us to type in HTML to make the custom welcome message on the Near Me widget. As the tooltip suggests, we want to put instructions here, but when it's a blob of text it's hard to read. We'd like to be able to do things like insert a photo, bold text, bullet points, etc. to make it easy to understand.
