You can edit and customize base labels and blur the lines of what's possible using new capabilities in the Vector Tile Style Editor (VTSE). The VTSE can now be used to isolate specific labels, remove them, or change their style. Combined with other capabilities of the VTSE, this provides more customization capabilities and blurs the lines of maps vs. basemaps. For more information, see Basemap... Or just 'Map'? Visit the ArcGIS Living Atlas home page to learn about what's new and how to use content. See the ArcGIS Living Atlas blog for more blog articles that help you get the most out of Living Atlas.

I checked the image service, and it all seems to be working just fine. Here's the map I just viewed using that service: I'd suggest the obvious - clear browser cache and give it another go.

I'm glad that things worked out and that you've found Map Viewer happiness. And also about your HTML "tricks." When I made the jump from Classic with HTML in pop-ups, the only thing I had to change were some reserved words that I used that the new Map Viewer was more strict on enforcing. Let me know if you have other issues or confusion points, I'm always looking for good ideas for future blog articles.

In Map Viewer you cannot modify the bounding box for search results, unless you thought to build a custom locator. But as you've found with Experience Builder, the search extent is somewhat controllable in the apps you'll use for your maps.

Yes the new Map Viewer is quite different, but also has lots of interesting capabilities from Arcade, to effects, to new styles, and much more that I think you will appreciate. And besides, it is the way forward... We restrict certain HTML for security reasons, but what you used to do in Classic should move over - though with some caveats you might need to work around. In general, you will not find any additional flexibility with HTML, but the basics are supported and if you really want to do advanced things I'd recommend checking out Arcade. Pop-ups: text element essentials is basic intro to text elements and includes HTML examples. Pop-ups: the essential covers everything from the top-down. Pop-ups: Arcade essentials is a good intro to Arcade in pop-ups, and you'll find more advanced examples in Enhance your pop-ups using Arcade and Living Atlas. The new Map Viewer pop-ups will work just fine in any of the 4.x apps and app builders, which include Instant Apps, Experience Builder, Dashboards...

You cannot "convert" Map Viewer to a custom app, but you can easily turn the map you have authored and saved in Map Viewer to an Instant App, Experience Builder app, Story, or other choices. From your map item, click Create Web App: Or, from Map Viewer, click Create app from the Contents (dark) toolbar:

The current search zoom extent is set in the default World Geocoder by the bounding box of the feature being matched to (plus a little extra). If using Instant Apps, you can configure the zoom level for a match. Search can additionally be refined and configured by the organization administrator for Map Viewer. This is found in Organization > Settings > Utility services > Geocoding. See Configure utility services for more info. Layers in a web map can also be configured for search. See Configure feature and table search for maps for more info. Because Web AppBuilder is a JS API 3.x app it's not compatible with new features and capabilities in Map Viewer (like Arcade). While not going anywhere soon, your best path forward is ArcGIS Experience Builder (which includes similar templates to Web AppBuilder) or potentially one of the Instant Apps. See ArcGIS Web AppBuilder roadmap for retirement for more info.

With the June 2023 update, a number of design enhancements were introduced for pop-ups (and ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript). These changes happened automatically, with no adjustments or editing needed on the map author's part. These changes included: A redesigned feature pagination and menu button Improved media pagination Improved color ramps and matching tooltips for charts With the changes for pagination, one of the things you will notice is the appearance of the title of the pop-up in the feature pagination list. The example below from the Living Atlas shows the pop-up title, in this case the county name, displayed in the feature list. If the layer pop-up was not configured with a title, the word "Untitled" will be displayed. Below is an example of live stream gauges from the Living Atlas. It's easy enough to improve the feature pagination, simply add a title to your pop-ups. For best results, choose something unique that will provide context for selecting other features from the list. For example, the pop-up shown above was reconfigured to include a title using the name attribute to provide a unique title to the feature pop-up. By adopting the addition of titles as a best practice for pop-up configuration, you'll avoid presenting "Untitled" to viewers. For more information, see A fresh new look for pop-ups and Pop-ups: the essentials.

Just about all of us use ArcGIS Living Atlas every day. Living Atlas basemaps are the foundation for almost every map or app, whether used in your browser or device. Additionally, Living Atlas layers, such as live feeds, environmental layers, demographic information, and more, complement and add context to your operational layers. Most of us discover Living Atlas content when we use basemaps or search for layers in Map Viewer. But there's a way you can integrate the Living Atlas website directly into your workflows. If you sign in to your account at the Living Atlas website, you can open the Browse tab to search for layers to begin authoring maps and scenes. Since you're signed in, you can also use My Favorites to bookmark Living Atlas items for quick access, or (if an administrator) can also share creative Living Atlas basemaps into your organization's custom basemap gallery. For more information, see Ten ways to get the most out of ArcGIS Living Atlas.

My original reply was over a year ago when we did have Search within the Map Tools, but things change (sometimes quickly) over time... The Search tool has since been moved out of the map tools and you should see it above zoom in/out, home, and hide interface: As for ArcGIS Field Maps, as I sign in to Field Maps and view the list of maps that I have access to, I can see the Search at the top. Unless I am misunderstanding your issue, everything seems to be working as expected.
