A new update to ArcGIS Survey123 is now available. This release addresses critical issues and introduces a few enhancements. Survey123 web designer: Enhanced dynamic lists: In our June 2023 release we introduced the concept of dynamic lists in the Survey123 web designer. This feature allows you to populate a list through a live ArcGIS layer query. Initially, we limited lists to 2,000 records (technically, lists were limited by the maxRecordCount parameter in your layer, which has a default value of 2,000 in ArcGIS Online) but now you can work with as many records as you like. Better integration with ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World: The Living Atlas has thousands of read-to-use GIS layers that you can leverage with Survey123 in various ways: To populate lists, make maps in your form more compelling and to auto-calculate values. In this release we made it easier for you to use this content. Check this blog to learn more about using Living Atlas content in Survey123. Or even better, join our upcoming Tricks of the Trade Live session on September 12 where we will demonstrate this in depth. Larger file uploads: When working with ArcGIS Online, the File question type in the Survey123 web designer and web app now allows you to upload files up to 500 MB. The previous limit was 100 MB. ENH-000158434. Survey123 website installer: Version 3.18.54 of the Survey123 website installer (Windows) is now available for download in My Esri. The website installer is useful for organizations operating in completely disconnected environments (without internet access) or with severe security requirements. Learn more here. Fixes to the Survey123 website and web app: BUG-000156588 In the ArcGIS Survey123 web designer, the 'Submit another response' setting does not appear to be enabled. (Fixed) DE-000006705 BUG-000158283 Cannot switch between rear and front camera views when using Survey123 in an iPad with the Safari browser. (Fixed) BUG-000157758 An error occurs when submitting a survey, using the "&mode=copy&globalId=" parameter. (Unable to submit attachments in edit mode with Enterprise 10.8.1,10.9, 10.9.1, 11). (Fixed) BUG-000159172 - Error "Cannot play this file due to a parsing error" raised when uploading audio-less videos through the Survey123 web app. (Fixed) BUG-000154649 Publishing a closed survey originated in Survey123 Connect version 3.16. causes 'Sample' to be appended next to the survey title. (Fixed) Survey123 mobile app (version 3.18.145 now available in the iOS, Android and Microsoft app stores): BUG-000157932 update=true URL parameter triggers error and clears inbox in offline environments (Fixed) BUG-000160143 - Integer values are not saving values in a text question (Fixed) Survey123 Connect (version 3.18.124): The build number of Survey123 Connect has been incremented to 3.18.124 for consistency, but this new release does not include any functional changes. If your version of Survey123 Connect is not 3.18, you should upgrade. If you already have 3.18, no need to do anything. What is coming next: Our next update is planned for September 19. This will be a web-only update to take the Survey123 web designer CAPTCHA survey element out of Beta. We also plan to introduce a preview of two exciting new Beta features in the web designer: Assisted translation of surveys through machine translation New assistant in the web designer to help you kick start survey designs through a conversational UX A bit earlier, on September 12, we will host a Tricks of the Trade live session to discuss how to leverage content from the ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World in Survey123 web designer. You are all invited, but if you want to attend, you need to register here.

@RM_-_AmyOrtner__GISS_ It would be great if you can share an XLSForm to illustrate the problem. I created my own XLSForm based on your description and I do not lose any leading zeroes. Attaching animation with the behavior I see and the XLSForm I used.

ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World is the foremost collection of geographic information from around the globe. Through the Living Atlas you can find ready-to-use content such as administrative boundaries, population, health, income, spending and education statistics as well as environmental and infrastructure layers. Getting started To browse ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World content go to livingatlas.arcgis.com You can start searching right away! There are thousands of layers available, many of them from authoritative sources, others from users like you who contribute to the Living Atlas. Explore the content available. You will find administrative boundaries, environmental, infrastructure and socio-economic data. There are layers with live content such as weather event, traffic and much more. As a Survey123 author, you can use this content in various ways. 1) Make more compelling maps for your Survey123 forms Content from the Living Atlas can be added to your own web maps and then, you can use these maps in your Survey123 forms. You can add content from the Living Atlas to your web map right within the Map Viewer, or as shown below, directly from the Living Atlas. Once you are happy with your web map, you can configure your own Survey123 forms to use it. The animation below shows how you can configure a Survey123 map to show your own web maps. Ah! By the way, did you know that the Living Atlas ALSO includes web maps? You can browse and use these ready-to-use web maps right away! For more information about using custom web maps in Survey123, check this blog post. 2) Geoenrich your survey data with content from the Living Atlas This is one of my favorites! Using a Survey123 calculation you can use content from the Living Atlas to automatically populate questions in your form. Any feature layer in the Living Atlas can be used for this purpose. The World Database on Protected Areas (WDPA) is the most comprehensive global database on terrestrial and marine protected areas. In the example below, I take the location of a report and calculate the name of the WDPA Coastal Protected Area where if falls into. The next example shows a similar technique, in a completely different scenario. The respondent types an address and that location is used to retrieve data from the American Community Survey (ACS) in the corresponding US Census tract. This data can be stored along with the survey response for further analysis, or simply be used for display purposes in the form. From a practical perspective, I like to hide the calculated questions because often the respondent does not need to look at these values. Hiding calculated questions can help simplify your survey. One more! Predictive weather data from the National Digital Forecast Database (NDFD) is used to associate the maximum temperature forecasted for the next 3 days with the algae bloom sighting reported by the user. Configuring this type of geo-calculations is straight forward using the Survey123 web designer. Check the video tutorial posted in our October 2022 release announcement for details. 3) Dynamically populate a list using content from the Living Atlas What if you could populate a list using content found in the Living Atlas? Possible! Using data collected by the United States Forest Service through the National Invasive Plant Inventory Protocol, this survey automatically populates a list invasive plant species in the vicinity of the location provided. Note that the list presents over 50 choices when in Seven Oaks, and only 5 for Inyokern. With thousands of invasive plant species, having the possibility of filtering choices in a list based on a geographic filter tremendously simplifies the user experience! The animation below shows how to create a dynamic list in the web designer. In this particular case I am using the USA Current Wildfires layer, which shows active wildfires within the past 7 days in the United States from IRWIN and NIFC information. Resources If you need some help getting started with the techniques illustrated above, check the following: Calculations using ArcGIS layers in Survey123 Connect (XLSForm samples) Calculations using ArcGIS layers in Survey123 Connect (Video) Calculations using web designer Dynamic lists in Survey123 Connect Dynamic lists in Survey123 web designer If you prefer to watch a video and ask questions, join this 60' webinar on September 12! This session is specifically targeting Survey123 web designer users. To register, click here or scan the barcode below.

When you set a location filter, the list will be empty if: The location has not been set No features (Drone Flight Areas) are found within 5 miles of the set location The user completing the form does not have access to the Drone Flight Areas feature layer If you have set a location and you know that there are features within a 5 mile radius of your location, I suggest you check permissions on the Drone Flight Areas layer. If everything looks fine but the list remains empty, we will need to have this looked at by an Esri Technical Support analyst. Just curious, what is the spatial reference of the Drone Flight Areas layer?

@Ursu_Lacramioara Date objects in an esriFieldTypeDate column are stored in UTC. That explains the difference you see. You can convert the time zone as shown in the diagram below. If you are using the Convert time zone module, you do not need to include the date format parameter in the addSeconds operation.

@DorothyThomas1 I am thinking this may help: Create a survey for people to enter the 'one' record. Then, use either Make.com or Microsoft Power Automate to send an email to the respondent. This email will include a link to the survey in edit mode and targeting the feature that was just created. The respondent could go back to the email in the future and edit as many times as needed.

Update on this. The problem is in the choice_filter column. You should not use quotes: This is good: ${select_oblast}=adm1 This is not good: ${select_oblast}=”adm1” After making this change, the web app is happy. See below:
