Hello, I am trying to write a nested IF statement in Survey123 Connect, and I am having a bit of trouble with the syntax. Here is the gist of what I want to do, in Python syntax: if val1 == 'a' OR val1 == 'b':
score = 'Very Low'
elif total_score < 10:
score = 'Very Low'
elif total_score < 20:
score = 'Low'
elif total_score < 30:
score = 'Moderate'
elif total_score < 40:
score = 'High'
elif total_score < 45:
score = 'Very High'
elif total_score > 45:
score = 'Extreme' So far, I've gotten this much to work in Survey 123: if(selected(${material}, 'a'), 'Very Low',if(selected(${material}, 'b'), 'Very Low', '0')) I seem to be able to get as far as the first IF statement and then an ELSE statement, but nesting any further is returning error messages like "cannot handle 'if' requires 3 arguments. Only 4 provided." Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks! James Tedrick

Hi Steven, I have had this happen to me before as well. It may not answer why this is happening, but I have found going through the REST endpoint to download file geodatabases from hosted feature layers has worked for me when other methods have failed. This article explains how: How To: Download attachments from a hosted feature service Let us know if that method works for you! Best, Katherine

Hi Sabita, Welcome to Geonet. In general, this is a forum for asking questions to the GIS community to help you in your work. However, it seems from your post that you are asking someone to do the work for you. If you have specific questions, please try to be as detailed as possible in your post so we can be best prepared to help you. Also, when sharing projects, it is not enough to just send the MXD. You also need to share the data that is referenced in the MXD. This can be done by creating and sharing a map package. Creating a map package—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop If you are able to share a complete map package and also ask more specific questions about your workflow, hopefully we can help you! Best, Katherine

Yeah, I know they announced that this would be the case a while ago, but I've been dreading its implementation. I used this feature so much while it was in Beta, it was a bit of a game changer for getting people in my company to use Survey123.

Ian, In a web map, you can configure the pop-ups so that certain fields are editable while others are not. This is achieved through the Configure Pop-Up menu: If you are not able to edit the web map yourself (i.e. you don't own it or are not an administrator) I suggest reaching out to the owner request that those fields become editable. Hope that helps! -Katherine

Do you have a screenshot of what it looks like when you're giving the demo, compared to when the popup appears as expected? I'm wondering if it has to do with screen size or device type. Were you doing something like giving the demo on your phone?

So, after talking with Margaret Maher at Esri support, we determined that the file was somehow corrupted. We were able to repair the style file by opening in in Microsoft Access. By doing this, it was detected that there were inconsistencies in the file, and it repaired it. As far as we can tell, nothing is missing from the newly restored style file, and it is appearing in both ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro without issues. If this issue occurs again, it was recommended that analysts within our organization copy the style file locally to their machine and access it that way, since simultaneous access to the file was thought to be a possible cause of the corruption. Thanks for the help!

Yes, it's a shared drive for our office. I copied the style to my desktop and tried importing from there and got the same error, unfortunately.

Thanks for your response, Aaron! I am using Pro version 2.4.1 I have not seen any errors about incompatible styles The style contains point, line and polygon symbology As for the last question, I noticed that the style was not pulling in to ArcMap as well. I notified the colleague who made the style, and he copied some new information into the STYLE file and then it showed up in ArcMap. However, after he did that, I received this error message when trying to open in Pro: Neither of us could understand why it would be locked, but we both restarted our computers just in case. However, I still receive that error message when trying to import.

I had some issues with this earlier. Just curious, are there any hosted views associated with this layer?

Hello, I have imported two custom styles into an ArcGIS Pro project, and I see that they are both saved in the Styles folder for the project. However, when I click on a point symbol in the contents pane to change the symbology, I only see options for one of the custom styles, even though I have it selected to search Project Styles (rather than All Styles). I am still getting used to the Pro interface, so I'm wondering what I need to do to see all of the styles that are in the Styles project folder appear in the symbology pane. Thanks in advance!

I checked the Terms of Use on the item details page for the State Boundaries layer, and noticed that it says this: Important Note: This item requires an ArcGIS Online organizational subscription or an ArcGIS Developer account and does not consume credits. Will it work if you remove any layers where that message applies?
