As far as I know, that's the way to do it without using code. (changing the symbology directly in ArcGIS Online under the visualization tab on the item details page, or by pulling the layer into ArcGIS Pro). However, to be able to change the symbology of multiple layers at once, you should be able to do that with python scripting. I found this page that might be able to get you in the right direction: https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/18814/changing-symbology-of-multiple-layers-using-arcmap-arcpy Perhaps someone else out there knows more than I do, but hopefully that gives you a start

One of the whole points of feature view layers is that you can set separate symbology for the same data set. Because of this, data updates in the attribute table will apply to both the hosted layer and the view, but symbology differences are maintained. For this reason, it makes sense that symbology change to the hosted layer would not automatically update the symbology of the view layer. You can change the symbology directly in ArcGIS Online, or change it in the same way you did for the hosted feature layer in ArcGIS Pro.

On the group's details page, on the right side of the page, there should be an option to Change Owner. Do you see this option for the group you are trying to edit?

Yeah, not that I know of, unfortunately. That would be nice though...if there's a way to do that automatically rather than sorting manually I'd love to find out!

In AGOL Map Viewer, you can drag and order the categories when you symbolize by attribute. Drag the items by clicking on the three dots:

This has happened to me several times recently as well. If it happens, I just cancel out of the interface, save what I've done so far, and then go back in. I've found that this behavior normally would happen when I would try to move a field up the attribute table very rapidly. Annoying, for sure. But hasn't prevented me from being able to format my pop-ups with enough patience.

So, when you turn on editor tracking in a hosted feature layer, the CreationDate and EditDate fields are automatically added to the layer. These are populated automatically when a feature is created. It sounds like before, you had a field that was created with a "Date" data type, so that the user would manually pick a date when a feature was created. The editor tracking is nice because it automates that step and ensures data accuracy, but obviously would not help if a date had to be recorded that was not the current date and time.

Brandon, Apologies if I'm getting a bit confused about what you're trying to do. As far as I understand, because the BRPD, BRFD and Analyst Workspace groups are the types of groups with Access and Update capabilities, they will not show up when trying to share through the item details page. Any user wanting to share with those groups will need to do it through My Content, or as an Administrator by managing a specific member's items. They will also obviously need to be member's of that group, assuming that's how you have them configured. Is that workflow not working for you? Sorry I can't be more help...maybe someone else will have some additional insight.

Ok, I think I understand your situation now. You want to be able to share items owned by others with the groups that have Access and Update capabilities, without having to transfer ownership first. If you go to the specific member's items page via Organization > Manage Members > Manage Items, you should be able to share their items in this way. Let me know if that works for you!

For the groups that you created, do they show up under "access", or "access and update capabilities" in the main menu? I believe that the "share" button on the item details page only displays groups in the "access" category.

Yes, you can do exactly that with Hosted Feature Layer views. This help page might also be able to give you some more information: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/create-hosted-views.htm

You don't even need to know HTML to do a pop up configuration like that. In the configure pop up window, choose Display: A custom attribute display. Then simply type the text in the Custom Attribute Display box and format it the way you want. To pull specific attribute information into the pop up, click the + next to the font size and click on the field name that you want.

Hi Ben, Edit features—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS This page will give you full details about editing in ArcGIS Online. This quote explains about editing geometry: "Though rare, you may need to reshape an existing line or polygon feature. To do this, double-click the feature to display its vertices. Choose the vertex needed to reshape the feature and drag it to its new position. Once you click off the feature, the edit is saved." In short, it's just the difference between a single vs. a double click on the feature. Give it a try and let us know if that works for you! Best, Katherine
