June 2026 Update - No data No Selection text

Is there a way to remove the new Info icon next to the "No selection" message?

My widget already contains all the context users need, so this icon is redundant. It consumes space unnecessarily and throws off my layout. I'd appreciate an option to disable it when additional guidance isn't required.

I agree 100% @KenBouchard! The effect on my layouts of the additional icon is not great, particularly when I have many elements which go blank intentionally when no selection has been applied to another element (they now have random "i" icons floating in the middle). I have been trying to figure out how to control the color of that icon to have it disappear into the background, but I have not yet been able to find a way to do so.

The icon color is controlled by the Info color in the Theme settings. Create a custom theme, then customize the colors and the option will be found under the Advanced colors.

Got it @SandraLuken1! Thanks so much. I use custom themes all the time, but I hadn't looked for any new options that were available.

Having that option will solve the situation most of the times, but sometimes it won't. If a dashboard features elements with different foreground colors (most of my dashboards do), only one color can be chosen for the icons. Knowing that option exists is great, but I think it would be good to also let users set that for each element like you do for many other colors.

I agree - this is an unnecessary "enhancement" that should be removed or rolled back. Or, give us the ability to remove it.

Adding to this, it baffles me that it seems the ability to customize the No Selection message was taken away? I came across this older Community Post, posted by an "Esri Regular Contributor", which describes an extremely helpful workflow that no longer seems to be available. Whhyyyy???

Yes, this feature is no longer available after the update. If this is a functionality you need, I encourage you to submit a support ticket to attach your organization to this enhancement request. The more customers attached, the better.
