I've just added an extra "Solution" to the post which simplifies the findings down to a couple of clear 1 liners. It isn't a solution to how to use Absolute paths all the time, but it does clearly explain the behaviour around 'moving' projects and what happens to the relative pathways. For what it's worth, we manage a lot of ArcGIS Pro project templates, stored on a G drive. Our users have been instructed to Open and Save As these to their desired location so that all pathways are maintained. If they were to Copy/Paste the project instead, all the pathways mapped to a Drive letter would be updated (relative pathways). I'm about to do some more testing on UNC pathways - I've seen text stating that these don't change, which may be an (annoying) solution for us. All our GIS data is stored on network Drives (G & V) or in ArcGIS Online as a feature service (no issues there at least).

Hi @JesseWickizer. Yesterday I ran into a small "bug" with the new scale bar visibility features. I'd spent some time creating a set of 3 scale bars with different Visibility ranges (<1:10000 / 1:10k - 1:30k / >1:30000). For the middle interval, I had the scales set to 1:10001 - 1:29999 with the upper and lower bars set to the round 1:10000 (Min) & 1:30000 (Max) values. However, the problem was that the scale bars weren't showing up when I zoomed to a "Max" scale value. TODAY however, I went back in to get more screenshots for this post, and now they work as expected. So, instead of asking for guidance around whether this should be logged as a bug or is expected behaviour, I'm instead going to suggest that you use thresholds that are unlikely to never be used, instead of clean breaks like I have, JUST IN CASE!

Great idea and a cool setting I've learnt about too. May need to implement this in a few map templates.

Hi team. I submitted a blog post for review a week or 2 ago but can't seem to find where it is or if it's been published, reviewed, rejected, etc. Is anyone able to point out how I can find where it's at? I definitely wanted it reviewed as it's my first time writing a blog and wasn't sure if I was on the right track or not regarding content and quality.

Fully back this idea (and @DougBrowning's sentiments!) - text wrapping is needed in Field Maps Popups. It's very difficult to be efficient when you can't determine which feature you need from a list of truncated feature titles.

Just went looking for how to do this. Surprised that there isn't more people wanting this ability. We are starting to generate a lot of forms in Survey123 in our org and not all of them are for field use, thus it would be nice to be able to hide them from the Download Surveys list in the field app to make it easier for staff to navigate.

When viewing content in ArcGIS Online, it would be handy if there was a Form category in the filter list to only show Survey123 forms instead of all Apps. Currently, you can reduce the content list by Apps, which includes Survey123 forms, but there is no Forms sub-category to eliminate other App types.

Can I suggest adding the purpose of the code to the post heading to make it more searchable? I believe it's a Lat/Long conversion code, which I know a lot of people would be looking for. Also maybe add some tags to improve search results.

Thanks for sharing your experiences! The problem we are facing with the projections is not actually in ArcGIS Online (as you say, it all works nicely up there)....it's back in ArcGIS Pro. When we add a feature service to a map in Pro, if it uses a GDA94 projection, and the map also contains GDA2020 projections, the transformations get confused and Pro introduces shifts against some of the datasets. We've been agonising with this issue for a couple of years on and off. After reaching out on here (Solved: Clarification around Transformations in ArcGIS Pro - Esri Community), we finally got the answer back that GDA94 and GDA2020 do NOT play nicely together, and that all data in a map should be either in one of the other. Thus, we have decided to do a bulk republish and bring everything in ArcGIS Online back to the standard WGS84 Web Mercator auxillary sphere, which does play nicely with other projections.

Good questions. I've avoided even looking at trying this out because it wouldn't be worth it without being able to offer it to all our users. As a Professional or Professional+, my staple is Pro for map making. WebMap exports really is suited for Creators (and Mobile Workers) so makes sense to offer it to them. Interesting to see comments on the blog post asking the same questions have gone unanswered.

Hi All. I've just been made aware of an issue in one of our legacy Web AppBuilder maps in ArcGIS Online, and are looking for confirmation of others seeing the same behavior. We have custom basemaps that use Esri's World Imagery as well as a Vector Tile Package overlay made available as Basemaps in the Basemap Gallery widget. In WebMaps, Field Maps and Experience Builder apps, these basemaps show up correctly when selected. However, it seems that after a recent update to our Vector Tile Packages, they no longer show up in Web AppBuilder apps. The only reason we still run these apps is because we're (still) waiting on parity with the Batch Attribute Editor tools. I'm really really looking forward to getting rid of them, but until we get that function we can't.

Hi Brains trust. I've been experimenting and was hoping to get confirmation from those in-the-know. If have a Feature Service in ArcGIS Online which for example uses WGS 84 Web Mercator aux sphere (WKID 102100/3857) and (via Pro) you overwrite this with a new version that uses a different spatial reference (e.g. GDA94 (WKID 4283)), it appears that the spatial reference updates ok. HOWEVER, if that layer has hosted views, it doesn't appear that those update to reflect those changes (at least, not according to the JSON when viewed through the Service URL). In ArcGIS Pro, the layers both show up as using the updated spatial reference. Is this a problem? Is this something that can be done and the differences in the JSON ignored? Or is it (as I suspect) going to cause me headaches down the track?
