Thanks Ken. Gave it a whirl but something didn't go right. Ran "successfully" but output dataset was empty. Tried a couple of times - once with and once without any dissolve fields selected. What the 'factory' Pairwise Dissolve tool produces for comparison (with flawed stat for the Single option).

I haven't been in your situation but a couple of questions for you. Do you know what type of login is being used? Are they ArcGIS Online accounts? SAML SSO accounts? If it's SSO managed by your org, could you get your IT department to access the login and make the changes? If it's an ArcGIS Online account, then could you ask Esri Support to update the email address for that account and do a password reset? No idea if either of those will work - hopefully Esri Support can get you back online.

Ahhh - that might be part of the issue then. Because these weren't going to be implemented at the time (I was just testing how it all worked) none of my values were saved, so the filters wouldn't have acted on them in the way you have described.

I recommend reaching out to Esri Support regarding this issue ASAP. Sounds serious enough to warrant close up inspection.

The new Contingent Values functionality looks good in ArcGIS Online, but the creation/management of the values seems a little cumbersome, in particular around the filtering and selecting of values. IDEA: When you filter a list of values and click "Select All", it should only select all values from the filtered list (not the original complete list). Alternatively, add a second option to "Select Filtered". USE CASE: When trying to see which values you have to work with, filtering may reduce the list you can interact with, but you still need to manually select each record you need when you may need all the filtered results. P.S. I fail to see what the filtering is actually doing. Once I applied a filter, it still showed me all contingent values that had been created. You can see this in the below screenshot where I've filtered for Chemical Handling but still see a Driving Light Vehicle contingent value.

The new Contingent Values functionality in ArcGIS Online looks to be very useful, but I've already been deterred from using it for one of our exisiting datasets for 1 simple reason - manual setup! Idea: Provide a template and csv import funcationality to bulk create contingent values for Feature Services in ArcGIS Online. Use Case: Where a feature service contains many different domain values across multiple fields, manually creating contingent values will be cumbersome, time consuming and error prone. It seems this idea is half way there already with a CSV export option available (for setting up a template) but no import facility.

As usual, nice wrap up. A few things for me to dabble with from this update.

Just came to post this very idea. Trying to build a form for exclusive use in the web form and keep finding functions that don't work for the web form (only the field app)! Very frustrating. The Survey123 Connect preview (Survey123 Studio when it's release) should have the option to preview as the web form OR the field app.

Also just tested in the standalone webapp editing a feature with an empty field. Same outcome.

Interesting. I've found this because it seems the WebApp is still not honouring the WhenEmpty option. I've published a survey from Survey123 Connect (3.25.27) to ArcGIS Online, and when using the survey with existing records via the Experience Builder widget, empty values are not recalculating (unless I expose the field and make editable so the user can click the recalculate button). Bottom line in the below screenshot (issuing_officer). Example feature selected with empty value: Recalculate option doesn't even show up unless I start typing in the box:

Another suggestion would be "Web Services" or another name that accurately reflects that the Portal option includes, ArcGIS Online and/or Enterprise Portals.

Adding my backing to this idea. We've been using Power Automate/Flow to enable email notifications, and it is sooooo frustrating because of how fragile and cumbersome it is. We can't reuse a Survey123 Connection across flows, having to create a new connection for each, and have regular instances of flows failing despite no changes having been made, with new connections being the only way to fix it. This is on top of having to use a dedicated service account as the send email (which we GIS people aren't allowed to manage meaning we need to get IT involved in any new flows). A built in email notification with basic ITTT functionality based on values in the survey would be an immense improvement!

Thanks for the tip but unfortunatley for us it's not useful as all our offline area maps are ad-hoc, user defined areas, meaning the tools that are built into Field Maps Designer for predetermined offline areas are not relevant.

Hi Kristal. Thanks for the detailed info. Unfortunately I've double checked some of the options and still no joy. We aren't using PDF's via ArcGIS Online, so none of that was relevant in our use case. As for trying to bypass MDM security using the share option, that wouldn't work as Field Maps isn't listed as one of the apps we can select (they're all Microsft 365 apps). Interesting task. Are you printing the utility lines onto a transparent sheet and will physically overlay? Or do you have a digital copy of the physical map that you will show as a background on a new print? I'm guessing it's the first, in which case, in ArcGIS Pro, you would create your Layout with custom page size to match your existing map, and insert your map frame to fill the layout. Then I think you would manually set the scale to match your physical map and it's just a task of panning it to the correct extent (you will likely need some sort of reference layer for this - probably just World Imagery?)
