Are they true feature labels or annotation? If annotation then you should be able to mask them like any other layer. If they are labels then I'm not sure why they aren't being blocked. Looks correct to me. Only suggestion is do you have the "Never remove" option enabled in that layers labelling properties?

Yeah thats not cool at all. Any update that may impact on existing products should ensure that the existing functionality is enabled by default. Really starting to see the case for going Enterprise so we can control update cycles.

Also agree - a setting that differentiates behavior between online and offline versions should be enabled by default as surely that would be the most common workflow, and can be disabled if a map author really wants it that way.

Yes! And I wish that the Arcade windows woudn't give you functions that aren't compatible in Field Maps when you're writing the code in Field Maps Designer, or at least highlighted when a selected function won't work in Field Maps.

IDEA: In Survey123 Connect (and thus the webform and field apps), it would be useful if there was a way in the 'visible' and 'relevant' fields for a question to quickly check ALL previous questions marked as required and whether they have been completed or not. USE CASE: By being able to blanket check all previous questions that are 'required = yes' and if they have been completed, new critical questions or groups could be exposed without needing long formulas checking each field individually (either in the relevant/visible field directly or via hidden calculate/note questions). Writing formulas checking lots of quesions is simple enough in small forms, but in large forms, it's unwieldy and prone to errors when changes/updates are made. In my scenario, I don't want a submission question to be exposed until all "required" questions have been answered, but don't really want to have to list 50 odd questions in the relevant formula.

In ArcGIS Online, items that are forms created in Survey123 are categorised as "Apps" when searching Content or setting up Content Blocks on the AGOL Home Page. This means that when filtering Content, you can select "Apps" on the left and you get everything from ExB Apps, Dashboards, etc and Forms. There are subcategories, but unless I'm missing something, Forms is not an option. Also, on the Home Page Content Blocks, Forms can't be filtered in or out as required. Currently they show up with other Apps despite wishing they weren't. The only way around this at present would be to separate them into a separate group (more admin). IDEA: Add in a "Forms" category so that Survey123 forms can be filtered independantly of other items when searching Content or arranging Content Blocks on the Home Page.

In Field Maps, when you select a layer that has Exclusive Visibility enabled, it doesn't display clear radio buttons like it does in Map Viewer. Instead, it continues to show the Check Boxes and display as if both layers are visible, until you close the layer list and reopen it, at which point the originally visible layer is now turned off and the newly selected layer remains visible. IDEA: Update the UX to show radio buttons instead of checkboxes in Field Maps the same as Map Viewer. See this demo'd in this conversation: Re: Why doesn't Exclusive Visibility work in Field... - Esri Community

Ha! You know what, it IS working - it just doesn't appear like it until after you close the layer list and reopen it (no radio buttons - just the check buttons showing both selected when you're making the selection, but once layer list closed and opened again it has updated). I suppose I was looking for the like-for-like radio button behaviour like you get in Map Viewer and Experience Builder. Thank you for persisting with me. I'll go and update my Esri Support case now. Still think this can be improved to make it clear that the behaviour is there. Have posted an idea requesting this: Update the UX when selecting Exclusively Visible l... - Esri Community

@SerjStol Awesome! Thanks for your tip! I can confirm you don't need to republish the survey (well, at least I didn't need to). Updated the setting on the Survey123 > Settings > Distribution page to use the latest version and refreshed my form in the browser and it started recalculating the specified values.

I've had a support request linked to an enhancement that references this idea. To add exclusive visibility for a group layer into ArcGIS Field Maps: https://my.esri.com/#/support/bugs/bugs?bugNumber=ENH-000186586 Frustrating that it seems that Exclusive Visibility has been implemented in the Map Viewer and Experience Builder but is not in Field Maps - these should be supported concurrently as they are intrinsicly linked in many many workflows!

This is extremely frustrating. Lots of our maps are offline enabled. The most recent update added the default attachment element in Field Maps designer and it continued to work....until I made a change to the smart form then it failed. I've only just discovered this new setting that has NOT been enabled by default for these forms meaning that all our maps need udpating. Esri support have created BUG-000186061 which states that the behaviour is by design! Urgh - what a nightmare!

Hi @ColinLawrence . I've just done a really simple test. I added my new feature service to a blank map, set the group to Exclusive Visibility and saved. Went straight to Field Maps and still no exclusive visibility (though the issue might be related to sub-groups or something). Map Viwer Field Maps I've had a call with Esri Support to discuss this. See what comes from it. Things don't get much simpler that what I've just tested though so would be keen to see an example where you have it working.
