Hi Scott, there are two ways you can do this.  A temporary way and a more permanent way. the temporary way is using symbol substitution. this change does not edit your data. it only exists for the project. right click on your anno in the contents pane and select Symbology.  this will open the Symbology pane.  In the Symbol Substitution group select the Substitute symbols in collection radio button and double click on the symbol.  Change the symbol as you wish from here. the more permanent way is to edit the symbol in the annotation feature class. In the catalog pane browse to your annotation feature class. right click on it and select Annotation feature class properties.  This opens up the Annotation Feature Class Properties pane. If you have feature linked annotation and want the symbol change to be reflected in updates you need to click on the Annotation Classes tab, double click on the annotation subclass you are looking to edit and then select the symbol tab.  Make your symbol changes here.  Now for all newly created annotation in this subclass, the new symbol will be used.  To change the existing features, you'll need to edit the symbol id field to be the newly created symbol id from the collection. If you have annotation that isn't feature linked you can either create a new symbol in the collection by clicking the plus sign or double click on a symbol to use that as a starting point.  Once symbol edits are made and the new symbol is created, just edit the symbol id of the features to point to the newly created symbol. thanks Wendy ... Hi Julie, In ArcMap, this Label button placed a piece of text in the map annotation group.   Pro does not support map annotation, so there is no equivalent tool.  You can convert labels to annotation and/or use the editing tools to easily create and edit annotation that lives in annotation feature classes.  You will also soon be able to use the Annotate Selected Features geoprocessing tool when it comes out in the next release. thanks, Wendy ... Hi Sona, The markers produced with this renderer draw in the annotation phase resulting in the annotation being drawn underneath them.  We have an enhancement request logged to provide control over the drawing order so that annotation is not overlapped. ENH-000113670 A workaround might be to use labels in this situation as they will draw last and not be overlapped. thanks Wendy ... View more

Hi Lionel, In the image ArcMap_Issue_Example there are some features to the right of the line that may be blocking placement if they have a weight set to them.  Could you check that under the weights button on the Labeling toolbar? The feature in the ArcMap_Issue image doesn't show any other features and it still places to the left.  Could you send that feature, and the data from the other image as well if possible and I'll take a look. I also see that you're using the Standard Label Engine.  Is there a reason that you're not using the Maplex Label Engine?  Have you tried testing with it? thanks Wendy ... View more

Hi Vincent, At Pro 2.0 we do not have a way to convert labels to annotation for selected features only.  We are working on a workflow for this for a future release as we know the functionality is needed. thanks Wendy ... View more

Hi Bob, Once you add the leader you will have a green anchor point for the annotation feature.  Hover the edit annotation tool over it and then click to move to the appropriate location.  Below is an image showing the workflow.  Please let me know if you're doing something different and this workflow doesn't work for you. thanks Wendy ... Hi Kate, My first instinct on this is that you have a < or & in the field used for the text.  this would explain why the bold tag works for some text but not others.  the images you shared don't let me see all the way across.  could you include one that shows the whole thing with all the tags?  We can fix this if it's the case. thanks Wendy ...
