I had troubles at first with the API key but after some tweaking it seems to work, maybe it was a delay or an issue with the internet cache. Anyways, has anyone had any issues going over the quotas? Mine is not set up for billing and I don't foresee ever even coming close to 25000 requests per day, but I'm not sure what is considered a request. Funny thing is I've tried to check the reports and so far it still says zero requests even though I am using the app. Anyone have any insight into this?

Josh, I don't have any real suggestions on your data with carriage returns in it... As far as the initalview thing the Enhanced Search Widget XML Configuration.pdf tell you the tag for that. Thanks, I actually just discovered that in the configuration, sorry about that. I attempted to delete that post before you responded but didn't make it.

I've discovered that for the most part I only use the graphical search when I use this widget. I tried using the <initialview> tag but it didn't have an effect, is this tag enabled in your widget or something similar?

Thanks, what I did was miss that whole section. I had it set to be fields all="true" so I just skimmed that section and completely missed the gridfield requirement. Using the relate part was just my attempt to figure it out, to see if I missed something. I appreciate your help. On another note, for some odd reason when I get my parcel layer from the county, the mailing address is included in the file and has carriage returns in it. In ArcMap, it just puts it all on one line and ignores these, but when using this widget, they are not ignored, is there anything I can do to get at the next lines? An example is where I have one that has an ATTN line and then the address. So for the mailing address line, it just says ATTN: So and So and no actual address. I can manually fix these and obviously this isn't your problem its a data problem but I wondered what your thoughts were.

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before, two many posts to check all of them. I'm using Flex Viewer 3.2 and Version 3.2.3 of your Enchanced Search Widget. I'm trying to use it to notify people in the 200 foot buffer of a parcel. I've got everything set up to do the selection of parcels within this buffer area but I cannot seem to get the fixed datagrid to populate with anything. The autohide and everything works and the datagrid window opens just no data is displayed there. I attached my widget xml file. If there is anything else that would help please let me know.

I've had so many issues with the legends, I pretty much just exclude everything. It is so inconsistent with the layers that it shows that it doesn't do me much good. If somebody needs a map with a proper legend/layout, I'll just make them one in ArcMap.

I attached the schema that I use. It's not terribly sophisticated but it could get you started. It was created using Xray.

If you want to use ArcGIS Online basemaps in ArcGIS Desktop, click the down arrow next to the add data button and select Add Data from ArcGIS Online. You can search for historical maps there.

Could we maybe get a new locator that does default to no zones? I just have no reason to use them as my addresses are only with my city and don't cross county or state lines. I do use Left/Right City though. Also the zones, does this only work for Zip codes? Could we just use the Left/Right City as the zone by mapping the zipcode fields to these?

ArcMap probably is drawing the unprojected one too, just not in the right place. Open a blank mxd and add both, it should just open at full extent of the two layers. This would be a good way to figure out the proper projection for the "unprojected" shapefile.

I actually never add the index.html to my urls and they always load just fine. In my case, Index is higher than Default in IIS. Of course, index.html is still always being referred to just as rzufelt said.

All I ever get is a message that I don't have the right version of Flash installed and then when I click the link Adobe says my device isn't supported. I appear to be on 2.3.5 if I'm looking at the right thing so maybe that is why. I'm using a Samsung Mesmerize (it also is called a Galaxy S) so it is an older phone. This probably depends largely on the version of the Flex API you are using. I'm using 3.2 of the Viewer.

I've created a 3 mile buffer around the city for our city's extraterritorial jurisdiction but I've learned of a new statute concerning a small city that sprung up next to ours. The statute reads that you can only go half the distance to the city instead of the full 3 miles. So to simplify this, when somebody wants to do a subdivision, currently I would have to measure the distance to each of the cities to determine which one it is closest to. If it is closer to mine than I have jurisdiction, if not, I don't have jurisdiction. My question is, does anyone know of a way to map this?
