I am in the process of migrating my modifications from 2.1 to 2.2, and for every code module and configuration file I wonder if there are any changes at all to the new version.  If I knew there were no changes I could just use my previous file, but I'm going through the tedious process of finding all my modifications and editing them into the new files.  At the risk of asking too much, would it be too difficult to put a date and/or version number in each file (.xml, .mxml, .as) so we could save some time with the migration?  Or perhaps provide a list of changed or unchanged files (whichever is easier)? I would also like such a feature.  My reasons are for organizational purposes but I can definitely also understand access restrictions too.  Essentially ESRI's thinking is that since tables can't be included in a topology and have to spatial charateristics then they don't need to be able to be in a dataset but there are a number of other reasons for wanting to put it in a dataset. ... I'd still like the conferences to move around.  It is a hassle to have to go all the way to San Diego everytime.  Maybe move it to the midwest one year and then the east coast another and make it move around.  This could work for both DevSummits and the UC.  Its just aggravating that they are doing it there for their convenience rather than the customer's convenience.  As much as I hate to say it because I am from the states, I would also think that Europe and Asia would like to host it as well.  I just couldn't go that year.  ... How do we flag posts that are obviously fraudulent and abusive?  I found a somewhat subtle spam attempt (which could easily be much nastier, if it linked to a malformed web page) at http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/14634-property-tax-map?p=45968#post45968 but could find no link from that page to warn moderators, flag the malicious intent, or at least nullify it. Ted, At this time there is no specific version number for ArcGIS Explorer (unlike other ESRI Products) other than the newest public release being identified by the build number, hence ArcGIS Explorer 1200. Having said that, the new ArcGIS Explorer is optimized for ArcGIS 10 yet will still work with previous versions of ArcGIS. I hope this information helps resolve some initial confusion. Frank M. Honestly, the main the thing I was doing was discovering how useful a Raster Catalog is for me.  Apparently, it is not useful to me.  The lossless"ness" is very unattractive, I might as well use black and white.  For now I will just use them in their native format and have a lyr file set up to easily add them to a new mxd.  I will have to try the Beta mosaic feature though and let you know what I discover. ...
