Hi Binu, Thanks for sending me your steps. From the looks of it you were able to download Pro successfully but when you try and log in, the account you are using is not associated to your ArcGIS Online Organization (still a public account). The below screenshots would be what to do for activating your subscription from the fulfilment link your received. As you can see on the third screenshot, when setting up your ArcGIS Online organization, you are asked if you want to create a new account or convert a public account. A key thing to remember once you have gone through setting up your ArcGIS Online organization before trying to use Pro is to add the add-on Pro entitlement to your account via the manage add-on license link. Once you have accomplished this you should be able to open up Pro and successfully sign in using the now organization account you created when setting up ArcGIS Online. Hope this helps, Josh

Hi Binu, To answer your original question, personal use does include Pro. When purchasing you would have used a public account. Once you received an email with a fulfilment link that sends you to My Esri, it is there where you would activate your subscription and then download Pro. In the activation set up, AGOL would have prompted you to create a new account or use an existing public account. Whatever option you chose would be the account you would use when trying to access Pro. To help me understand further, could you provide the exact steps you did and also where in the process it is telling you that you can't use a public account. Thanks, Josh

Hi Agnes, Thank you for your questions. Esri Netherland's did reach out to me with your feedback and I was in the process of responding back to them with the below. Please take a look and if you have any further questions, let's coordinate conversations through Esri Netherland's. Josh My Esri Product Owner After activating a provisioning file the license file number (FileID) does not appear in the authorizations activity report. File ID is a column on the authorization activity report, if an authorization count is tied to a license file, it will show the File ID number. When issueing several similar prv-files to a user, it is hard to find out which file has been activated and which has not. In the Licens File report, you can see which License Files (.prv) have been issued by the File Status column. If it is marked as processed, it has been activated. Other status types include, cancelled (authorizations in the file are returned), new (license file was created but no authorizations have been activated), or uninstalled (for ESLF ,removed from the machine and returned). Why does the format (number of columns, columnnames) and even the content (existing values) of the MyESRI reports change so often, that it is impossible to generate a report that can be compared to one of say three months ago?. Through constructive user feedback on reporting, updates were made to decrease confusion with the data and to ensure better accuracy. We are in the process of discovery for adding a series of dashboards via Power BI in My Esri that will take the data and help with more trend analysis. What is the meaning of the attribute COUNT in the authorizations activity report? It shows the number of products on one concurrent use license, but it doesnot subtract those numbers when licenses are returned. So adding up these numbers gives you the total of what? Authorization Activity does show line item by line item the total count of authorizations where activity has occcurred. Example: a license file is created and during the process the user adds 4 counts of desktop advanced. Those counts are part of one authorization number. When the license file is used, in the authorizations activity report, it will show those counts as activated in the Activity column. Other data types in that activity column include, deauthorized (uninstalled off the machine by use of the software authorization wizard), or returned via My Esri (when a user is unable to deauthorize and the authorization is stuck on the machine). Using this column to know overall activity can be accomplished by taking all line items with a status of activated, adding the counts for them, and then subtracting counts where deauthorization or returned on My Esri are shown for Activity. Things to consider There is a processing time (approximately 45 minutes) for the counts to be added back to the Total Quantity in My Esri. If you are experiencing longer times than that, please send in examples and we can check the back end integration to ensure data is flowing efficiently. If the organization has reached its maximum amount of deauthorizations and are issued an extra activation, the extra activation is not added to the total quantity in My Esri. For some Enterprise Agreements with uncapped quantity rules for deauthorizations, this would not be applicable. Moving forward, the workflow has been updated to provide the user with a temporary license if they have reached there return limits and if justified, increase the returns versus issuing an extra activation. This way the counts in My Esri are honored. Any activities with licenses? It would be very helpful to know the total number of active licenses, so excluding the returned ones. Filtering the authorization activity report by the Activity column on Active will provide this. To verify they are active, UMNID columns will give you the machine ID’s to verify. After deauthorizing licenses the returned products should come back in the pool of available products. This takes sometimes several hours, to more than a full day. In situations where we deactivate licenses in order to activate them again on new hardware, the user has no licenses for this period of time. If we want to avoid this we must have enough licenses left in the pool to issue an extra one. It would be very useful if returns are processed real-time, or at least get an indication how long it is going to take. We are in the process of updating our integration solution to better support real-time for this workflow. We also found that third-party extensions like DataInteroperability do not always return as 'available' at all, after a deautorization (or cancellation of ESLF). Considered the unknown moment that this should happen, it is very time consuming to check if it happens or not. And if not, we lose a license. This should not be the case. Please send Esri Netherland's some examples so we may troubleshoot.

Hi John, Thanks for your question. When a license file has a status of new, it means it has been created but the authorizations within the file have not been activated yet. If the authorization status is set to obsolete, it means that internally the authorization code was removed. In these cases, please contact your customer service representative to get further details on the action. Hope this helps, Josh

5.18 Release Items Licensing To improve the usability and accuracy of the Authorization Activity report in My Esri, data line items marked as 'Reinstalled' have been removed. These records did not add value when calculating the overall authorization activity counts. For helping with better organization of the License Configurations list, License File tags are now visible. Reports An issue has been resolve that was impacting reports where using a date filter caused the table header to disappear. An issue has been resolved on the Authorizations Report where the list of products was not populating the filter's dropdown menu. Profile For users who add a Credit Card Payment Method on their profile for store purchases, an update has been made to allow them to delete their default Credit Card from their account.

All, With the My Esri self-service application continuing to add functionality to suit the needs of users, it has been recognized through your feedback that navigating can be at times difficult. To aid in this, we have added a new localized help center experience that contains a series of guided assistance that focuses on onboarding new users as well as key workflows in My Esri. When you first log in, you will be greeted with the option to do a quick overview of My Esri and will notice the new help tab on your browser. Through the introductory tour, you will click through the dashboard, new help center, profile, and organization areas of My Esri. Once completed, you will be congratulated for taking the tour and the help center will update and indicate that you participated in the introductory onboarding. After the tour, you will see sections in the help that contain available guidance workflows in primary areas of My Esri (Licensing, User Management, Downloads, Common Questions). Understanding that each user in My Esri may have different responsibilities, the help center only shows workflows based on your level of permission. Future updates of the help center will have additional guidance workflows such as Developer Subscriptions, and Support. In closing, the My Esri team’s overall mission is always towards developing a seamless self-service experience for users. Knowing that our evolving software and expanding capabilities can have an impact on this goal, the expectation is that adding this new guidance tool will help make it easier for you to use My Esri to its fullest potential. Please continue to let us know your feedback through the My Esri Survey and the My Esri Geonet space. Thanks, Josh Beaton My Esri Product Owner

Hi David, Thanks for the good question. Please see the below definitions. Esri software uses a license generator built upon the third-party FLEXnet Publisher software. The information added to the authorization history is meant to help users verify if an authorization code was sucessfully assigned (fulfillment ID) and to what machine (UMN ID). This information can also be seen on the authorizations activity report in My Esri. Moving forward, I will do a better job providing more details around Licensing as it is an important area for users to understand. Josh Fulfillment ID A fulfillment is a transaction against an entitlement line in which some portion of the entitlement is assigned to a specific license server system. UMN ID (Unique Machine Name)
