Curious. Is there anyway to remove the popups that are created FROM the eSearch widget itself? We have configured highly customized pop-ups on the AGOL side of things and it confuses our users to have multiple pop-ups display presenting redundant (or duplicated) data.

I have a question that is probably stupid. In an SDE environment can you craft a URL that points directly to a Feature Class within an SDE GDB? For instance... Servername XYZ, Feature Dataset ABC, FeatureClass Widget Could I craft a URL (for internal usage only) that would point to the Widget Feature Class? I'm trying to put together live (wiki-esque) documentation and I'm wondering if this is possible.

I have had this problem before and I either didn't ask about it here, or I found it by searching then and forgot how to phrase the question to find it again. I'm using the eSearch in the WAB. I go to build a search and I enter the search URL, the title autopopulates, I click the options I want (Spatial Search Layer, Add Result as Operational Layer and Show in Attribute Table Widget) and then craft my expression. I set a SINGLE expression... simple... (or complex, it doesn't matter) and when I click [OK] and I am brought back to the "Update Search Layer" window in the Widget the search expression has a nameless (and now empty) search expression in it. I can hover over it and there is an expression with the arrows to move it up or down the list and an X to delete it, but no name (despite naming it) AND when I click the edit option I am taken to a now empty Expression page. It's happened a few times. I've rebuilt the web map from scratch thinking it was a glitch in the WAB... but nothing. I can't craft a Search Layer now... Not sure what happened... Help?

Girish... what did you use to learn Dojo? And did you know Dojo before working with web maps? Or did you have to learn FOR mapping work?

Chris, where would you make those changes so that they are in base and will propogate to new maps you make? I'm still hazy on where to change core things so that they transfer over to finalized webmaps.

I definitely missed that "discussion." Very frustrating that ESRI would introduce such a monumental adjustment without offering developer options to turn it off. Try explaining to map reviewers why the map isn't loading to the initial extent since this was never an issue before... Try building confidence in your organization towards adopting ESRI web mapping when you can't even get the map to load right. I cleared cache with a Chrome plugin... then via the Clear Browsing option... and it STILL stuck. I couldn't get it to work right until I commented out that stupid code. Ugh.

So I build a map in WAB for our Home Owners Association. ( you can preview it here if you want ) I upload it to our server. ( see link above ) And it does the weirdest things. My supervisor pulls the map up and layers that should be turned on are off, and vice versa. The initial extent changes based on previous searches. We've wiped the cache, cleared browser history, etc. to no avail. Everytime I open this map in MY browser it goes to an extent that was used in a previous search. Any ideas? I'm using latest Google Chrome browser.

Web App works great. -- something happened to all development copies -- DOWNLOAD Web App from server. ZIP entire structure to ZIP file. Try to import. Nada...

So (don't ask) all WAB Created Versions of a Web App I just built have been deleted. They were SUPPOSED to be downloaded, but something went wrong and wasn't caught. SO... I have already put a working copy of this webapp on our server and it's working fine. BUT... I would like to be able to edit it and update as needed. Is there anyway to bring an app from a working server INTO the WAB 1.3?

So... I'm developing more and more GDB's and Feature Classes outside of LGM, and plenty of population of LGM features, that require contact information per each item. I'm sure I'm not the only person with this question so I'm hoping someone else has figured out the best approach to this. My thoughts are... where would you add your Contacts table? Do you create an LGM Table... create contacts there... create relationship with relevant features? - If so, would you mind sharing your workflow? Do you create a table in an outside GDB... create contacts there... reference them from necessary features (LGM and NON-LGM)? - If so, could you explain how you connect these pieces together? And how does this affect public-facing webmaps that need this information? I'm curious about the following aspects of best practices for doing this: Relationships How do you connect the necessary features to this table? Standard relationship table? Something special? What about for when the contact table and related feature classes are in separate databases? What about for webmaps? Privacy How do you offer some contacts as available for reference in public webmaps and some contacts only available to internal customers (i.e., Employees)? Contacts Do you have a feature class with a dot on the map for their mailing address? Physical location? etc? Are contacts just a standard non-spatial table? Do you have related tables to cover all attributes that your organization considers important for each contract? What about historical information (can you see previous e-mails or phone numbers or just current ones)? I'm trying to incorporate more and more into the LGM but I also recognize that not everything fits. So I'm looking for best practices, or even any practices, being utilized by others in this industry (or municipal governments would be cool).

Wes Miller, I have been trying to picture putting the HOA's into the Simultaneous Conveyance but we have 6 different categorical pieces. Under HOA we have the following... 1) Alert neighbors 2) Block groups 3) Business associations 4) Homeowners associations 5) Neighborhood associations 6) Umbrella associations We track all of the polygon-based features together. They are currently separated out into individual features, but I thought I could bring them together under one. The problem then comes in with requests for all of our Home owner associations... we would have to query them out. Frustrated. I'm not even sure how to ask for what I need. I need to store these items in an efficient manner, for ease of retrieval, and with the ability to both display them for the public and make them available for editing via internal web maps. Still thinking simultaneous conveyances?

Yes, Chris, it is in reference to the Local Government Data Model (LGDM) / Local Government Model (LGM) / Local Government Information Model (LGIM)... I really wish they would PICK one and use it... I have yet to see if consistently referenced the same way twice...
