I'll tell you, we have a street file for our city that we've built an address locator off of and published that to our ArcGIS Server as a REST Service utility. Then I just remove the ESRI World Geocoder when I want to restrict to our City. However, then we lose those addresses that (for whatever reason) are not covered by our street file. I believe there is a method (I think config.js under the hood) that allows you for force the ESRI World Geocoder to restrict searches to specific geographic areas (cities, counties, states, etc.). Robert Scheitlin, GISP The URL I am trying to reach is for a REST Service that I have made private. The URL to access that feature is password protected. I have a proxy setup that allows two other web maps to access that REST service via an AGOL Web Map I build that is shared internally only. Those web maps work just fine. I developed them on the same machine I am using now. I can go to AGOL, use the internal REST Service URL, create a webmap, go to WAB, create a Web App, export, upload to external/internal server, configure to use the proxy and everything works... But the Enhanced Search won't accept the REST Service URL because I don't think it's going through the proxy? ... View more

When I enter the url: http://InternalServerName:6080/arcgis/rest/services/TMUA/Sewer/MapServer I get a red circle with an exclamation in the Search URL field... If I remove the 6080 then I get the following in my Chrome Developer Window... I even went and added the part "---- Reference To My Computer ----" part in my proxy, just in case. Nothing. ... Robert Scheitlin, GISP​, how can I create a Search URL that routes through my Internal proxy? I have a couple web maps I put together that are for internal ONLY clients. Those maps work great, you helped me on the proxy setup. Now, there is talk of combining some of the functionality into a single map. The errors you are getting leads me to think it is a permissions issue. Portal is an unknown to me, as we don't use this, but I think the problems should have "fairly" universal solutions. So can you get the Park Rec Finder to work AT ALL? Like external, from AGOL, etc.? Do you have any URL's you can share? ... View more

It also can depend on which version of the proxy you are using. Make sure to use the most up-to-date version for sure. Finding that information can be half the hassle too. ... View more

Here is what the IE "Web Dev" tools say... From what I can tell, it would appear that something is blocking the composer:activities from localStorage which leads me to believe that maybe our Firewall is blocking our access from internal? I can't tell tho because from Chrome it works PERFECTLY. Keep in mind that Chrome is a browser we have to get an exception to use as City employees, whereas IE is the standard on all other desktops. We have the exception because we develop for the web and need to target all browsers. ANY IDEAS?! ... View more
