No offense intended Jared, but that's an unworkable solution. I can't give all of the faculty members who are using ArcGIS Online Admin rights, and there's no way they would want to go poking through students' My Content listings to try to find "Assignment #4". Turning in an assignment needs to be an action that the student initiates - it isn't a retreival by an instructor. Allen

How do students turn in their work (maps)? I would prefer to have students share a map with me personally, but that option is not available. If students share their map to a class group, then the first student to share their assignment can be copied by every student who follows. Another alternative is to have the student share their map with “Everyone” and email the link to me, but then their map is shared to all ArcGIS.com users. Can we ask the ArcGIS.com developers to allow sharing to individual users (if only for academic org accounts)? I already knew that I could find group membership that way. I was hoping there was a way to get that information using the dashboard - so that the user names in the dashboard would be clickable, bringing up choices like in the My Organization area. It's pretty cumbersome having to toggle back and forth between the Activity Dashboard and My Organization to research the issues. Sent from my iPad

Hi Paul, I was using the Activity Dashboard in another browser tab as I composed that post. I did not see a way to identify the groups that a user belongs to. Could you give me a step-by-step? Thanks, Allen Sent from my iPad

It would help to be able to see which groups users are members of and to be able to see usage by groups. I am managing an org account at a university. Students receive accounts when they enroll in a class where the faculty member uses ArcGIS Online. Students are assigned to a "class group" so that faculty can share data and maps to the class through the group. When I see spikes in credit usage I would like to be able to see if it is related to membership in a group - perhaps a faculty member has given an assignment that is very credit-intensive. When we create accounts we have very few tools to help us know who the account user is after the account is created. ArcGIS Online gives admins no way to communicate with users - there is no messaging tool and you cannot see the user's email address. It would be helpful if there were some user database fields that would allow admins to populate information about users in addition to their first name, last name and account name.

How do you display a legend in an ArcGIS Online map presentation? There don't seem to be too many tools or functions associated with the "new" map presentation feature for the ArcGIS Online map viewer. I would like to display a legend on the slides of my map presentation, to help explain the data displayed in the map.

Thanks Jake. I had seen that help page before, but I don't know enough about how enterprise logins work to be able to attempt this by myself. Luckily, our IT department had a retreat on Friday afternoon, where each work group introduced their staff, described their functions and their responsibilities. From that I was able to get a better idea of who on my campus to contact for help.

I would like to implement enterprise logins for my ArcGIS Online Org Account. I'm at a university with 11,000+ students and have access to 1,500 AGO accounts. I'm not a network security person. Where do I start? Is there a roadmap available?

Is there a way to use Smart Map Search results as a geography/polygon that can be selected for other reports? Example: I have used SMS to identify 20 zip codes in my county, based on median income, median age and median household size. Now I want to know how many people live in those zip codes and what % of them have a bachelor's degree. Can this be done? Hi All, I regularly create ArcGIS Online organizational accounts for students at my university who are enrolled in specific GIS-enhanced courses. When I do so, I like to edit the usernames to include the course number, so I will know which accounts are in which course. The last few times I have done this I have done it by uploading a csv file with the students last names, first names, e-mail addresses and roles. ArcGIS Online then automatically creates usernames by combining the e-mail address (everything before the "@") with the abbreviated name of my organization. Since I want the usernames to include the name of the course, I have to edit them one at a time. However, when I get to the 26th username I can no longer get the "Edit" button to respond. For the last class I processed that left me with 25 usernames formatted the way I wanted them and one rogue username. Has anyone else run into this problem? Esri folks - could you look into it? [I realize this is a very small problem in the grand scheme of things on earth, but the admin tools for managing organizational accounts are woefully non-existent and I'm trying to McGyver them as best as I can.] Thanks, Allen Risley GIS Lab Manager California State University San Marcos

On a related note, is there a way to identify which accounts are using credits? Two-thirds of our organization's credits were used in two days on geocoding and geoenrichment. I would like to identify the account holder so I can speak with them about their usage. Thanks, Allen Risley GIS Lab Manager California State University San Marcos
