Create a PNG file (dont make it bigger than 512 by 512 to keep the size low For example: I downloaded gardener.png from FlatIcon Copy it into the media folder of your survey In the body::esri:style, for your geopoint question, reference the PNG file as shown below Download and test in the mobile app Gotchas: You were looking at the wrong help topic section. The correct help topic section is called Geopoint symbology here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/desktop/create-surveys/geopoints.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_DF5D4AC0546B4DACBBCA6B11F12090E9 Geopoint symbology and overlays are different things. The above will work in the mobile app. Will not work in the web app Make sure the name of the file you reference in the XLSForm matches exactly the name of the file you copied to the media folder The PNG file is placed horizontally centered at the location but vertically, it uses the bottom of the PNG. If you want to center your PNG exactly at the location, use the x y parameters as follows: symbol=gardener.png?x=0.5&y=0.5

Hi. Using Survey123 Connect, you can make a survey target a feature layer of your choice. Check out this help topic: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/desktop/create-surveys/survey123withexistingfeatureservices.htm specifically, the Author a survey that matches a feature layer section describing how to use the submission_url and form_id XLSForm settings.

@jmcewen_ddg Good find! Right in the doc, if you scroll down to the bottom, you will find a Feedback on this topic? link. This is the best way to report this type of findings. I just sent a note to the documentation team using that link in the help topic you referenced above. Thanks a lot for reporting this! Great find!

Hi. pulldata("@layer") may work for you. Here is some background info: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-blog/survey123-tricks-of-the-trade-pulldata-quot-layer/ba-p/1224415 I attached an example below for clarity. To use the example: Create a survey in Connect from the XLSForm Publish the form Once the form is published, replace the URL of the feature layer URL in K3 to target your own survey layer. Make sure the layer has query capabilities enabled Publish again and submit Hope it helps.

Hi. I wonder if there is something in your browser cache that is causing the problem. Try with a different web browser and/or clear your browser cache. If the problem persists, please connect with Esri Tech Support so an analyst can look at it. This looks very specific to your environment.

Hi! There a number of resources to help you with this: This help topic describes how to use the center parameter to set the geopoint question in your survey The trick here is to be able dynamically populate the XY coordinates of your map feature. Follow this Tech Support article to learn how to do that with Arcade. I recorded this video to put it all together.

Hi! Please check this blog: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-blog/dynamic-choice-lists-using-search-appearance/ba-p/1060838 You can populate a list using a layer query using the search appearance. The pulldata("@layer") function will not help you with that. For a quick approach to generating your XLSForm, you could also use the web designer: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-blog/survey123-tricks-of-the-trade-dynamic-lists-web/ba-p/1297811

Our next planned update to Survey123 is November 14. We have made great progress so far and would love to have your input to give this release a final touch. Read on to learn more about upcoming features and how to test them. Survey123 web designer AI assistant The Survey123 web designer assistant helps you kick start your survey designs using a conversation. Tell the assistant what type of form you want to create and it will suggest questions for your survey. Using your own words, you can ask the assistant to remove, update or add new questions into the form. Once happy, you can bring your work into the visual web designer for a final touch. The Survey123 web designer assistant can be used in any language. Most testing has been conducted in English so far, but we want it to work great in other languages as well. We welcome your help! Survey123 auto translate (web designer and Connect) Want some help translating your survey designs to different languages? Try this feature and let us know what you think. We are introducing auto translate into the Survey123 web designer and Connect. Both the assistant as well as auto translate have been implemented following strict security and privacy guidelines, to make sure your interactions with the assistant are kept private to you and no data is ever shared with third parties. All data and interactions with these two features comply with the same security and privacy you would expect from the rest of ArcGIS Online. Enhanced conditional visibility rules in the Survey123 web designer A new expression builder will allow you to create more sophisticated conditional visibility rules from the Survey123 web designer. Mobile app updates This release will introduce the ability to configure geosearch with a custom locator and address the fixes specified below: Offline map support for the location sharing widget ENH-000159248 [DE-000006400] ENH-000141178 ENH-000122540 Add parameter to specify custom locator in geosearch BUG-000156418: Decrement spinner in locale se-SV does not work properly below -1 BUG-000146166 - Panasonic Windows devices flip the camera preview 180 degrees BUG-000159544 - pulldata("@layer") response caching causes submission errors BUG-000158617 WHERE clause is required for pulldata("@layer") but it should be optional BUG-000156244: Unable to view address suggestions in the ArcGIS Survey123 app if the associated geocode service is shared with the owner or organization ENH-000159248: Enable photo capture with a press and hold on the camera preview How to access and test the Beta release Both features are available in the Survey123 Early Adopter Community website: If not already, create a new account in the Survey123 Early Adopter Community Check out our documentation topics and announcements Have fun Let us know what you think in the Early Adopter forum Live Beta testing sessions in October! Additionally, we have scheduled two live Beta testing sessions. Join us to learn more about these new features and provide your feedback directly to the Survey123 team!

@ChipMorgan65 I have run into that one too sometimes. Very annoying! Try closing the app, deleting survey and downloading again... If things do not clear... reinstall the app or rename the JS file. I personally do not know what conditions make the JS files be so sticky.

Attaching a sample XLSForm. Important: You need two geopoint questions. One to capture the location where the form is opened, and another one to set the location of something else, say an asset you are inspecting... One of the two geopoint questions should be flagged as null in the bind::esri:fieldType column. You will need to calculate the XY coordinates into separate fields. Typically, this would be the question that logs the location of the user and it will be also hidden. Note that the above will NOT work if you load the record form the Inbox. It will only work when creating a NEW record.
