The Survey123 November 2023 Beta is now available for testing!
Our next planned update to Survey123 is November 14. We have made great progress so far and would love to have your input to give this release a final touch. Read on to learn more about upcoming features and how to test them.
Survey123 web designer AI assistant
The Survey123 web designer assistant helps you kick start your survey designs using a conversation. Tell the assistant what type of form you want to create and it will suggest questions for your survey. Using your own words, you can ask the assistant to remove, update or add new questions into the form. Once happy, you can bring your work into the visual web designer for a final touch.
The Survey123 web designer assistant can be used in any language. Most testing has been conducted in English so far, but we want it to work great in other languages as well. We welcome your help!
Survey123 auto translate (web designer and Connect)
Want some help translating your survey designs to different languages? Try this feature and let us know what you think. We are introducing auto translate into the Survey123 web designer and Connect.
Both the assistant as well as auto translate have been implemented following strict security and privacy guidelines, to make sure your interactions with the assistant are kept private to you and no data is ever shared with third parties. All data and interactions with these two features comply with the same security and privacy you would expect from the rest of ArcGIS Online.
Enhanced conditional visibility rules in the Survey123 web designer
A new expression builder will allow you to create more sophisticated conditional visibility rules from the Survey123 web designer.
Mobile app updates
This release will introduce the ability to configure geosearch with a custom locator and address the fixes specified below:
- Offline map support for the location sharing widget
- ENH-000159248 [DE-000006400] ENH-000141178 ENH-000122540 Add parameter to specify custom locator in geosearch
- BUG-000156418: Decrement spinner in locale se-SV does not work properly below -1
- BUG-000146166 - Panasonic Windows devices flip the camera preview 180 degrees
- BUG-000159544 - pulldata("@layer") response caching causes submission errors
- BUG-000158617 WHERE clause is required for pulldata("@layer") but it should be optional
- BUG-000156244: Unable to view address suggestions in the ArcGIS Survey123 app if the associated geocode service is shared with the owner or organization
- ENH-000159248: Enable photo capture with a press and hold on the camera preview
