Find version 1.5 of QuickCapture now in the Apple, Google Play and Windows app stores. This update makes QuickCapture a more powerful data collection tool, without compromising its simplicity. It adds support for multiple button user inputs, Juniper’s Geode GNS3 high accuracy receivers, and more! What's new in a 2 minute video Multiple button user inputs Capturing data with ArcGIS QuickCapture boils down to pushing a big fat button. Button pressed, field observation added to the map! If configured appropriately with device variables, you can also have additional attributes automatically calculated: direction and speed of travel, time-of-capture, horizontal accuracy and many others. That is the basic idea and the most common pattern of use for the app: push a QuickCapture button and the app does the rest. User inputs are used to let field workers manually enter extra information, without losing the fluent big button user experience of QuickCapture. Up until now, you could only configure a single button user input. That is, one button, one button user input. With this update, you can now add up to three. Say you are using QuickCapture to do a quick inventory of fire hydrants in the city. Without button user inputs, you can easily collect the location, the type and take a photo. Configuring button user inputs you can also report, for example, its condition, model and a brief note. Many thanks to Andy Wells and all supporters of his ArcGIS Idea. As Arnaud puts it in this ArcGIS Idea, this is a simple but essential enhancement. By default, QuickCapture shows button user input dialogs after a feature is collected. For example, if you are documenting a manhole, the button user input dialog appears after you tap the manhole button. That is all fine, except when collecting a line, or multiple lines at once. Waiting until the line is finished before you can populate its attributes can be problematic. With this update you can now present the user input dialog when the line starts, or when it finishes. If configuring multiple button user inputs, you can choose some to be shown a the start, and others at the end! Watch this video to learn how to configure your line button user inputs. Juniper’s Geode GNS3 support This release incorporates support for the GNS3 series from Esri Bronze Partner Juniper Systems. The GNS3S and GNS3M high accuracy GNSS receivers connect to ArcGIS QuickCapture via bluetooth. Once connected, not only you benefit from higher accuracy location data, but also from additional metadata describing the quality of data you are collecting. Like other compatible GNSS receivers, support is provided for iOS, Android and Windows devices. New device variable: SessionId Use device variables to automatically populate GIS attributes. Speed, horizontal accuracy, device model or data collection time are some common ones. QuickCapture supports more than 50! Check the complete list here. Now you have one more: SessionId. The new SessionId variable is useful if you are taking advantage of Location Sharing. When location sharing is activated, the user’s track is identified with a unique session_id. Map the SessionId device variable to a GIS attribute of the features you are collecting to associate tracks and observations. Here is an example: Say you are configuring QuickCapture to combat poaching in an African National Park. You set your project to require location sharing. By having the session_id be stored with every observation, you can later in the office tell which observations are linked to which track. Project User Inputs in sync with domains Create a new project user from a field with a domain and QuickCapture will automatically show all the domain values as a list to the end user. Hi @IlkaIllers1 The release of pulldata("@layer") has been delayed, but you can still explore how it works using the Survey123 web app. The purpose of pulldata("@layer") is to help you do a layer query without the need for a custom JS function. If you can share your XLSForm, I may be able to help. It is possible that you may have missed something. Alternatively, watch https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-videos/point-in-polygon-queries-coming-to-the-survey123/m-p/1207817#M49 to see how you can do layer queries using the web designer beta.

With the October 2022 update to ArcGIS Survey123, you will be able to incorporate point-in-polygon queries into the logic of your form. If you like the Survey123 web designer, watch the video below to see how this will work. If you use Survey123 Connect, you will also be able to use the new pulldata("@layer") function . which is described in our Early Adopter documentation. While some of you have been doing point-in-polygon queries for some time using custom JS functions, the main advantage of pulldata("@layer") is that it works with public surveys. We still have a few weeks left before the update in October so this is a good time to share with us your feedback!

I see. Yes, this is also expected: The Survey123 website, when used anonymously, only shares data trends (analyze tab), not the specific record info. Here is what I suggest: Go into ArcGIS.com and navigate to your survey feature layer. Create a view from it, change its settings to allow queries and share publicly. Keep your survey feature layer private. Create a web map from your new view and configure a dashboard or instant app to display your data.

Hi @GrantZ The Survey123 web app supports mode=vertex. I am just guessing that you put the mode property in the wrong field. You need to put it in body::esri:style (not in bind::esri:style). Here is an example of the web app with vertex mode and snapping... To do the above I added method=vertex snapMode=self,feature into the body::esri:style column of my geoshape question. Hope it helps! By the way, for snapping to work you will need to publish your survey with the latest version of Connect (or from the web designer).
