Hi Emily Bartee. By default, text questions use a default length of 255, but you can change that using the bind::esriFieldLength column. There is a discussion on this topic in our Survey123 Blog: Mapping XLSForm questions into ArcGIS Feature Service fields If you plan to let users type long descriptions in a question of type text, you will also want to use the appearance column and set it to multiline. This will not change the length of your field, but will show a larger text input box in the survey. Hope it helps, Ismael

Hi, you got everything in your URL correct, but the itemID, center and field parameters will not be honored until the release of version 1.6, which is scheduled to be available the week of July 25. Ismael

You are getting the error because you set the submission_url to a non-secured feature service from ArcGIS for Server. At this moment, this will not work (known issue). For the submission_url to work you need to federate your ArcGIS for Server with Portal for ArcGIS and keep it secure (for example by sharing with the same group as the Form). If using ArcGIS Online, since federation of Online with Server is not technically possible, the submission URL will only work if working against a feature service in ArcGIS Online. We are working towards a resolution to this problem.

Hi Jennifer, I am not familiar with LoopSurvey, but you may find in Survey123 what you are looking for in terms of summarizing the results of surveys. Have a look at this video.

Hi. Have a look at this blog post: The art of hiding Pay particular attention to the section towards the end that covers relevant statements on multiple-choice questions. Sorry for the belated response here. It is recommended that you post Survey123 questions in the Survey123 GeoNet Group.

Apologies for the belated response. Using Select_One listname or other as a question type in your XLSForm will force Survey123 Connect to create an extra column in your Feature Service where the 'other' choice will be persisted. Adding the or other suffix is a handy shortcut but it has important limitations: You can't translate the label of the 'Other' question You can't apply any constraints or user input restrictions on the 'Other' question. If you want to go around the limitations, it is best not to use the shortcut and construct the logic manually. In this discussion there is an explanation and sample XLSFile: Can I change "or_other" language in the select_multiple [list_name]? Once you create the 'Other' question manually you can add hints, constraints and even set the esriFieldLength column as well. Updating the service schema as suggested will do no good, or will be at the very least quite risky.

Hi Jennifer, at this moment, Survey123 works exclusively with named-users. There are no options for public surveys. Crowd-source reporter may be your best choice at the moment, or the Quick Report Template in Appstudio for ArcGIS. It always has been and continues to be our intent to enable the use of Survey123 in crowdsourcing scenarios, but we are most likely going to postpone this project until 2017 so we can give priority to other areas for which we are finding high demand. If you really want to use Survey123 capabilities for your crowd-sourcing needs, you can actually use Appstudio for ArcGIS to build your own branded version of Survey123. The source code of the Survey123 mobile app is included with the Standard Edition of Appstudio for ArcGIS. The source code can be modified to work with a public feature service.

In the short term, looking at an update before the end of September, we are looking into incorporating print functionality, so you can take the report from the Analyze tab and take it to paper. You will be able to define what specific questions you want in the report and what type of chart or map will summarize the information. We are also looking into allowing date filters on the results shown in Analyze as part of the September update. Thanks for your feedback on exports. I totally agree that bringing related tables and attachments in anything but a FileGeodatabase format is at the moment not straight-forward! This is something that we want to look at, but do not have a clear deadline for it just yet.

Hi Jarom Hlebasko. Yes, this is planned. First, we would like to enable sketching on a white canvas, kind of like expanding the existing signature experience into a larger drawing area and adding some additional options to change the ink color. We are also looking at allowing the survey author to predefine a default background image in the canvas, so people can annotate on top of a diagram or photo for example. Finally, we are also considering allowing the configuration of the sketch widget in the survey so the sketches can be applied on top of a photo the field user may take. This is one of these fun projects that unfortunately we had to push back so we could address other not to exciting but important features.

ArcMap will certainly work as well! Well done! If I were to move the data into another geodatabase, I would go with either the Copy Features or Append geoprocessing tools. You can run these tools manually, or as part of a python script.
