Thanks @CraigWilliams. Is there a way to add a leader line to other graphic objects, such as an image or a drawing?

Can graphics in an ArcGIS Pro graphics layer have a leader line? It appears not. This would be a really helpful thing to have. In ArcMap there was an option to have a graphic text with a leader line in a Data View, though the other graphic objects could not have a leader line In ArcGIS Pro it appears that no graphic objects can have a leader line, not even text.

This is a great idea! The info currently in the top bar could pop-down when the mouse moves to the top and the info in the bottom bar could pop-up. F11 is used for full-screen in nearly all other apps. In fact, ArcScene uses F11 for this, but not ArcMap. At least someone on the ArcScene team was thinking. ArcGIS needs to catch up!

Interestingly, Kory, it looks like they've already fixed the notification issue because I got a notification for your, comment, yesterday. 🙂

Problem with Horizontal Table Scrolling at 2.8. This was a problem before with Pro. Now it's different, but even worse. 😯 How to demonstrate the problem: We're talking about when you click on the horizontal scroll bar between the endpoints and not on the slider to move the table view one page to the right or left. Let's start with ArcMap. Previously, ArcMap, and nearly all other table display apps have the following behavior. When you click the mouse as described above then the table scrolls one horizontal page to the right so that the right-most, partially-visible field is placed at the left side of the table window, fully visible. This is a very intuitive display strategy and all other apps that I know of use it. Before: After: ArcGIS Pro (Pre 2.8) tried to mimic this but awkwardly failed to properly place the right-most, partially-visible field on the left side of the table display and usually placed it completely to the left of the visible fields forcing the user to scroll back to the left a little to see it. Before: After: ArcGIS Pro 2.8 Perhaps someone complained about the above problem, because at ArcGIS Pro 2.8 the behavior has been changed as follows. When you click on the scroll bar, instead of scrolling a whole page to the right, now the table display window only scrolls exactly 55 millimeters to the right, forcing the user to click 3,4,5 times or more to scroll the table one full page to the right, depending on how wide the table display window is. It always scrolls 55 millimeters left or right regardless of how wide the fields are or how wide the table window is. In the example below you can see that the table only scrolls about 2 1/2 fields to the right. Additionally, like pre-2.8 versions, it still suffers from the problem of truncating the field on the left side of the table display window instead of placing the left edge of the field there. Before: After: Do we need to make a new Idea to get this taken care of?

Delighted to see progress is being made on ArcMap equivalence and bringing powerful but overlooked features from ArcMap into Pro. I use ArcGIS Pro every day, for everything I can, and these catch-up features can't come fast enough. One other thing. I can't find any notification, either by e-mail or in Notifications, from when @KoryKramer announced the good news in his comment above on 5/13/21, so I only just noticed this today. It appears that comments on an Idea in ArcGIS Ideas do not trigger a notification. Can the ArcGIS Ideas be set to send a notification for a comment on an Idea?

Any update on when this will be implemented, @KoryKramer. This hampers many legends that I build, forcing me to spend much time building the legend from scratch, or going back to ArcMap, building the legend there, saving it to a LYR file, and importing the LYR file to Pro. Using ArcGIS Pro 2.8.1.

@KoryKramer, the issue here may be that Daniel's example was for points and he only gave one screenshot. This applies to all of the feature types, points, lines and polygons and all of the symbology settings, Symbol, Layers and Structure. That's what's required for ArcMap equivalence here. This is still a major issue. Because of this issue, I spent a few hours the other day creating a legend in Pro that would have only taken a 15 minutes in ArcMap. I should have just created the symbology in ArcMap and imported to Pro with a LYR file, which is my normal workaround for this issue. Do you need more screenshot examples here, or is this sufficient?

There was a bug created for this issue that now indicates that this has been implemented, but it has not. I, too, am using the latest update 2.7.2. BUG: https://support.esri.com/en/bugs/nimbus/QlVHLTAwMDEwODQzMQ== I am still not seeing the missing features. @KoryKramer, the bug referenced above now indicates that this has been implemented, but it has not. I, too, am using the latest update 2.7.2. Would you check on this issue and let us know what's going on? https://support.esri.com/en/bugs/nimbus/QlVHLTAwMDEwODQzMQ== I see that the bug was last updated yesterday, 3/17/21. Is there a new release coming out soon that has this update? Do we need to start another bug or reopen this one? For example: When using ArcMap, if I select Properties for All Symbols, I can set ALL of the potential properties of a line, or other feature type. Here, I have set properties to Cartographic Line Symbol and selected Offset. However, in Pro, today at 2.7.2, if I select Format all symbols, the ONLY thing I can adjust is line color and width. There's just no comparison. This is an important feature. @ThomasColson, what are your opinions? @DanielMatranga, have the latest updates addressed your concerns or are you still missing features? Thanks!

That's not Relative Pathnames from ArcMap. In ArcMap, if you check the checkbox for Store relative pathnames to data sources in the Document Properties window, then pathnames will be stored in notation relative to the current location of the ArcMap MXD, anywhere in the file structure. It enables the user to copy a file structure to another computer or network location and still have everything work perfectly. This is a VERY useful and important feature. If you do not check the box then ArcGIS Pro uses fixed paths which is also very useful. What the author is asking is, "Where in Pro is the equivalent setting?" It appears that this setting has not yet been migrated to Pro. ArcMap Document Properties window: You can find documentation for this here: https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/map/working-with-arcmap/referencing-data-in-the-map.htm and, more specifically, here: https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/map/working-with-arcmap/referencing-data-in-the-map.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_03BE853AAD2F40B0AB28FDC0BEE31355 This is an ArcMap equivalence issue. Yet another important feature that hasn't yet been migrated. ... BUT ... I just tested all of this and it appears that Relative Pathnames functionality is there and is the default and there's no way to turn it off. I just created an ArcGIS Pro document with data stored on the same file structure in a folder external to the home folder. Then I copied both the home and external data folders to a server folder and moved the original source folders so they couldn't be found. When I open the Pro project from the server copy, it finds all of the data in the new location and everything works fine. So, how is absolute paths handled? SUMMARY QUESTION In summary, from experience with ArcGIS Pro up till now I have observed that: If you copy just the APRX file then fixed paths are used, If you copy the entire home folder and folder structure then Pro uses relative pathnames. It appears that Pro is doing this on-the-fly without telling us or giving us the option to choose. Is this what the rest of you are observing?

Here's a related issue. The overview map is also not in Pro. Please give it a Kudo. Add Overview Map to ArcGIS Pro like ArcMap has. ArcMap Equivalence. https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/add-overview-map-to-arcgis-pro-like-arcmap-has-arcmap/idi-p/1026951

In ArcMap, there's a floating Overview Map that shows you the area surrounding your Data View with an extent rectangle showing where you are zoomed. In ArcGIS Pro, we need the same thing, an Overview Map to view the extent of zoom for the Layers tab. In ArcGIS Pro you can create a linked map view, but you can't add an extent rectangle unless you have a layout. A layout is not needed here. We just need a floating overview map with an extent indicator. This problem would be improved by enabling any linked map to have an extent rectangle for the map it's linked to. That would not be as easy as it is in ArcMap, but it might be sufficient. To have full ArcMap equivalence, you should have a button/menu-item for the Overview Map that would just pop it up with the extent indicator present.
