I use a script that takes excel documents like time entries on projects filled in by others and uploads it to AGOL where it updates a metrics dashboard for admins. I have the script set via Task Scheduler to run every hour. This is just one way I came up with solving a similar issue.

Yes! I would also like the ability to modify how the individual apps are displayed in the card or control the columns / rows and how many apps go in each - I had a page with 10 apps, so the first two rows in my page looked fine with the 5 apps thumbnails displaying properly, but the last two apps were resized, and it made the thumbnails not fit into the app box. Took away the consistent look I was going for. I had to split my gallery up, add the last two apps into their own gallery, and then put empty text boxes on either side to control how they were displaying so the thumbnails were fully displayed on each App card.

Thank you! I'd have not realized that is what that is. Some of the apps I wouldn't mind the option, so I don't know if I should modify this Idea post to include the ability to choose for each app.

I have need for opening applications in the Gallery card on Hub in a new tab - but it adds the Hub page header every time. Most of these applications existed prior to us using Hub, and the header was not considered in the color choice and layout design of the apps. It squishes things, and I'd like the option to not include the header.

While I currently do insert Google Analytics & tweak colors on the self-hosted story maps, the two main reasons are : 1. Ability to give it our own URL under our own domain - this is important for us and the multiple projects we do. We are also unable to setup redirects with our current site provider (we are trying to rectify this but it is hard to get a county government to spend money especially right now) so being able to not only insert our own domain but edit the entire link to make it intuitive (i.e. I have to serve out an application to the public with an easy to remember link like https://gis.franklincountypa.gov/taxparcelviewer/ 2. We have packaged apps in other framework - a good example is our Subscription Parcel Viewer https://gis.franklincountypa.gov/taxparcelviewerplus/- a 3rd party vendor created the framework so that we could create login, purchasing, and user management screens for managing public subscriptions and access to a county parcel viewer. Being able to download source code like this allows us more options for utilizing ESRI products instead of having to go elsewhere.

So I am working with this script, and a strange thing happened. I haven't touched the f-strings in the sendInternalNotification function. The script worked about 3 times, and now I get a "TypeError: int() argument must be a string, a bytes-like object or a number, not 'NoneType'" for the first line in the msg variable. I'm using 3.6.4. If I wasn't using Python 3.6, I'd expect this since f-strings weren't introduced until 3.6, but I cannot figure out why the script suddenly stopped working when it had worked previously.

Didn't find a similar idea, hope not a duplicate. Use Case: I need to design an application for property management - county is not going to renew their current asset mgmt system. Has a map, but focus is more on the table. Also need to tie in inspections. Amusingly, this is the second request for a system like this that I got this month. A template that is designed for asset management / field collection - sort of like a mesh between ArcGIS Dashboards, a map, and the ArcGIS StoryMaps tabbed template. Imagine an application with a map in a corner, but focus is on the attribute table. Selection on the map filters the table, table selection filters the map, etc. Ability to pull up related tables / inspection reports from field apps, as well as look at any attachments by feature selection as well Would be able to handle multiple layers / tables - so selecting the layer from a dropdown brings up the associated map, table, attachments, related data/ reports. etc. and allows you to filter / zoom by selection Would allow for editing Would allow a summary tab (the dashboard) with customizable widgets

For my county, it is the entire link first and foremost, but I would probably use both options if they were available, so that I could have easily found applications and not so easily found applications

Love the new StoryMaps, but cannot really utilize them in my organization (mid-size county) as we need the ability to self-host the apps on our own server like the classic Story Maps. Please give us the option to self host so we can download and customize, insert into other framework, customize URL, add Google Analytics, etc. Creation due to thread found here: Is the new ArcGIS StoryMap self-hostable?

I just saw ArcGIS Experience builder and through some (very) minimal research, thought I saw that it could be possible with Experience if you go the developer / desktop route, but I don't think it has as much feature-wise as StoryMaps, and it seemed complicated for someone who doesn't have much experience customizing / developing applications.

I don't know if you had any success with this - if you did, I'd love to hear how. I just discovered this, and will be testing it to see if I can get it to work: GitHub - Esri/crowdsource-reporter-scripts: Scripts that can be used to extend the functionality of crowdsource reporter there is a script for extending crowdsource where that layer is scanned and new entries are added as assignments in workforce.#workforce_for_arcgis

If this is still an issue for you, I did find this: GitHub - Esri/crowdsource-reporter-scripts: Scripts that can be used to extend the functionality of crowdsource reporter There is a workforce integration script that looks at a layer for updates (your citizen reporting layer) & adds them as assignments in workforce. I just discovered, have not tested.
