Hi All, Just after any information or tips on how best to manage the internal review process of a public-facing Hub site. Is there a staging / QC version (or similar) that can be reviewed by all stakeholders before promoting to 'live'? Or once you save your updates that's it? We need our Public Affairs team to approve updates but I'm not sure what the best way to go about this is. My experience is with Hub Basic, though we are planning to move to Hub Premium and this will be a critical process. Thanks, Jamie.

When a widgets drop-down menu overlaps another widget, as you move your mouse down to where the second widget begins, the second widgets menu becomes active. This means you cannot select any menu items that overhang another widget without resizing the widget so the menu doesn't overhang. It doesn't happen often, but when it does its annoying! Also if you are not deleting the widget, you don't want to keep resizing widgets just to copy them, for example. In the example below, when you hover your mouse over the 'bin' icon, the menu for the widget below will pop-up. You cannot delete this widget without resizing it first. Please fix this to keep the widget menu active until you move your mouse away and select another widgets menu.

Hi Chelsea, Hope this helps - Is the Windows version of the Survey123 field app installed in the default file location? Or did you install it somewhere else or rename folders? My understanding is that when you launch Survey123 from a URL it is looking for the application in a specific folder in a specific location. If the location/folders don't match, it wont work. Jamie.

Hi Joe, I'm not sure if you can do exactly what you are asking - if you can I'm also interested to know how! What you could do (in the meantime) is group (hold down Shift when moving) your first lot of List/Map/Indicator and group your second lot of List/Map/Indicator then stack the two groups. That way the list that matches the map is grouped with the map. You will need to duplicate your Indicator for this (to have the same layout for the dashboard). So you end up with two tabs for the dashboard. I have done this for a few dashboards to avoid confusion. Overview here: Dashboard layout—Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS | Documentation If not available, dynamically activating the correct tab (through an Action?) from a List would be a great addition! Hope this helps. Jamie.

It would be good if it was more obvious which setting is being used for a web app initial map extent (Set initial extent - Specify the initial map extent when the application starts up); current view or default extend. Highlight the selected, radio buttons, or similar. It would make it easy to quickly see the setting (without requiring further investigation) and also provide more confidence the setting is being applied.

I should also add that our Organization default units are metric - yet the Print widget defaults to Miles. This makes no sense!

Hi, In ArcGIS Online (private Organization) I have several maps with content owned by another account that are shared to the Organization. Whenever I share these maps, an 'Update Sharing' dialog box pops up to tell me that these layer may not be visible to others because they are not shared in the same way as the web map. These layers are shared to the Organization so there is no issue as far as sharing goes. Its just really annoying for me! Is there a way (/setting) that will stop this dialog box popping up for layers shared to the Organization? There should be some logic that recognizes that these layers are shared to the Organization and it is Private (so this is the highest level of sharing for this site). Thanks. Jamie

For Web AppBuilder Dashboard Theme, it would be good to be able to control the header size / position in the 'Modify layout' window. At the very least add the ability to resize the header (out-of-the-box) - similar to Operations Dashboard; small, medium, large. The current work-around may be to use an 'About' widget...

When using the Dashboard Theme, the widget label in Web AppBuilder (ArcGIS Online) should be hidden from the final product - or at least have the option to be hidden. In edit mode its ok... The label doesn't really add any value for the most part and it takes up a lot of space. It cannot be left blank (not that this would necessarily work anyway). In the example below, 1/3 of the space is taken up by the widget label that the audience doesn't use or need to see. This top section also contains the maximize option (top right). Nearly all of the time i don't require this, so I would be happy to have an option to turn on/off the widget header section as a whole.

The Side Panel is useful but also takes up waaaaaaaay too much space. It needs to be re-sizeable. I could easily take off half in this example. Real estate is too important! I want to keep it visible and i don't want to use the Header.

Sounds like a great idea! A shame this hasn't been addressed yet - original post is from mid-2018. We use metric units only. My scale bar is KM, yet the Print Widget default setting is Miles... makes no sense! The default should be configurable. Allowing users to change this at the time of printing is good, so don't change that. Add a few other settings as well; Default extent, Default DPI, …
