Hi @lbedard Thank you for this question! Unfortunately, there is currently no possibility to show longer CustomIDs in the parcel information in Urban's overview. We will have a closer look and see if there is a way to improve this. Thanks, Till

Thanks @BrunoSeiler for this idea. I can think of several possibilities to support your request: Show the dimensions while sketching (e.g. with labels). Support snapping to certain dimensions (e.g. to full meters). Ability to input exact length dimensions. Which option would support your workflow the best? Do you need to input exact dimensions or would showing a label work as well? Maybe you have other ideas? Thanks, Till

Thanks for your question @MohamedG! Buildings can be validated against zoning regulations in two ways: By turning on the warning labels layer in the hamburger menu in the top left of the header. Buildings that violate zoning regulations will show a warning label. On hover, it shows additional information. When you select a parcel, you can check built and allowed parameters in the right side panel. Parameters that violate what it's allowed, are showing a dot. See the screenshot below for more information:

Hi @LondonChadwick Thanks for your question. Is it correct that by "model" you are referring to the existing buildings 3D layer? In Urban, you currently can add two types of building layers: For schematic visualization: Urban always shows these buildings in white. For imagery visualization: Urban shows these buildings the way they are defined in the scene layer. This can be used to add mesh buildings or other realistic buildings from any external application. Currently, Urban cannot add textures to existing buildings. As you mentioned, you can do this in other applications - such as ArcGIS CityEngine or ArcGIS Pro.

Max, Depending on what you are trying to achieve, some of these operations are also possible within Urban. This could be a temporary solution until the Urban Connector works as expected. Fetching a scenario: Scenario data (including future buildings) can be exported within the plan editor by clicking on the plan name and selecting "Export scenario to web scene". Uploading parcels to a scenario: This is possible in the plan configuration. In the plan editor, click on the plan name and select "Configure". Now switch to the Layers > Parcels tab. In the dropdown at the top right, you can select the scenario and add parcels to it. Best, Till

Thanks for this question, @MaximeDemers This is a question regarding the Urban API and seems to be a duplicate of https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-urban-api-questions/authentification-problem-using-arcpy/m-p/1093570#M4. Please follow the thread there. Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous User You could also check if there are parcel features without geometry (empty geometry) in your dataset. This will throw the same error. ArcGIS Urban doesn't have a limit regarding the number of parcels you can upload. Just be aware that a huge number of parcels can reduce performance, especially inside plans.

Mapillary recently changed the format of their API keys. The new key format can currently not be used in ArcGIS Urban. This will be possible in the next version of ArcGIS Urban which will release soon (20th of July 2021). If you have an old API key from Mapillary, you can use this one. But we recommend switching to the new format once ArcGIS Urban supports it. Thanks @JessieMyers for

Hi @AugustNastasi Since this seems to be a technical issue on the ArcGIS Online side of things, I would like to refer you to the Esri support for this issue. Please have your organization's subscription ID ready and explain the issues you encounter on ArcGIS Online (not being able to create feature services). Solving this should also get ArcGIS Urban running again. Thanks, Till

Thank you for checking. It seems that you are not able to create a new feature layer on ArcGIS Online. Can you make sure: That your user role has sufficient privileges to create a feature layer on ArcGIS Online? See here for more information. That your organization has sufficient credits left? See here for more information. Thanks Till

Thanks for the additional info. The error message is indeed interesting. Could you quickly check, if you are able to perform the following on ArcGIS Online: Creating a new feature layer Click on the plus icon and select any template: Edit the Urban database of your Urban model directly on ArcGIS Online: The data from your Urban model should be located in a folder named after your Urban Model. In this folder, locate the database. Open the database and select any layer, for example "Building Types" and try to edit the filed "BuildingTypeName". Be aware that changing data on ArcGIS Online might break your Urban model, therefore make sure to only edit uncritical fields such as "Name" or "Description" fields & reverse the edits afterwards. Thanks, Till

Hi @AugustNastasi Sorry to hear that this doesn't work yet. To find the problem, I have some questions: Can you confirm, that the new license and the trial license are assigned to the same organization on ArcGIS Online? Can you confirm, that you are using the same account for the new license as well as for the trial license? Could you post a screenshot of your browser console log once the error occurs? (Hit F12 on your keyboard and click on "Console" in the right side panel). Thanks in advance, Till

Hi @AugustNastasi only web scenes can be used for indicators, web maps can not. You can still use the same feature layers as you do now in the web map in the web scene. See here on how to create a web scene on ArcGIS Online. Once you created an indicator, it will be visible in the overview after selecting it in the list of indicators on the left side. If you would like to add existing buildings, you don't need to use indicators. Existing buildings can be defined in the data manager in the general settings: Click on the manage button (cogwheel icon) in the overview Click on the "settings" tab Under "Existing buildings layer" click on the pencil icon and select your existing buildings layer Existing buildings need to be stored as a scene layer. For schematic existing buildings, 3D object scene layer (with companion feature layer) is recommended. For more information, please see here.

Hi Stella Thanks for your question. Looking at your screenshots, I assume that you would like to visualize the zoning layer in what we call the "Overview". Urban does not show the zoning layer in this mode. What you can do instead: You can create a zoning plan. In the plan editor, zones are visualized. You can add the zoning layer as an indicator and visualize it in the Overview. See here for more information. You can add the zoning layer as a custom base layer in the general settings of the data manager. This layer will be visualized in the Overview. You can then switch the layer on and off in the "hamburger menu" on the upper left side of the Overview screen. See here for more information about how to add a custom base layer. You can always get the zoning information of individual parcels if you select parcels in the Overview map. Parcels show up when you zoom in a little. When you click on a parcel, additional information will show up on the left side. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Till
