@Jim-Moore the draw shapes tool in the web browser is primarily designed for touch/fingers to draw the shapes on a mobile device -- a user touches the screen and moves in one motion to create the shape. A user with a mouse trying to draw a circle, rectangle, or square is a challenge and drawing irregular polygon drawing is a mess. The experience with other editing tools/widgets is a point, click, click, click to draw the shape. Will the team consider offering a mode or toolset that predefined circle, square, rectangle that only need a scale and rotate option, and for irregular polygons a point and click, point and click experience for users on the desktop using a mouse? I'm happy to share a screenshot of what our users are submitting which show the challenge we are encountering.

AGO and Enterprise, by default, display the owner's username in item pages, item cards, and in pop-ups that show last updated/edited by. I am proposing that there should be an organization setting to control what value of the users profile is displayed. Options could be: Username First/Preferred + Last Name: Jane Doe First letter of First/Preferred Name + Last Name: J. Doe First/Preferred Name + first letter of Last Name: Jane D. Use cases 1) Security: this allows the org to determine whether the username should be shared which may present a security issue; see https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online-ideas/in-agol-content-descriptions-don-t-expose/idi-p/942388 2) Orgs that enable SAML may have accounts created based on employer ID, email address, or other ID, and prefer to see a value such as the members name listed as the item owner which is more readable/recognizable

For organizations with a limited number of accounts or certain user types it would be helpful to have a mechanism to archive user accounts. Here are the use-cases: 1) Users that no longer need access but still exist in the organization and may need a license at a later time. It would also expedite the process of switching licenses between users who only need it for a period of time or when a license becomes available due to staff departure. 2) Allowing non-existing users to sign-up automatically but inherit no privileges. Currently, the Disable Member option prevents the user from logging-in but still counts towards the organizations allocation of licenses. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/administer/manage-members.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_6FA464E492E242C8AC021DE434A9D608 Disabling a member account prevents the member from consuming organizational resources. This can be useful while you transfer their items to a different member. Members whose accounts have been disabled cannot sign in to the organization, consume organizational resources, create content, or administer the site. They are still members and count toward the number of users in your organization. Disabled accounts are automatically disabled for Esri access. (emphasis mine) My preference is for a User Type with the same exact restrictions as a Disabled Member but with the option to allow "sign-up" or "create account". This way I can change our SSO parameter to 'sign-up automatically' and then assign the default user type of "Archive". It could also allow non-SSO users to create a built-in account automatically as well, streamlining the process to add any user into the system -- rather than having to invite users in order to prevent undesired users taking licenses if automatic sign-up is enabled.

@RichardKochthe chart person for Esri is @FloraVale though this request is something of a mashup between a chart and the time-slider functionality - at least in my concept of the chart. What may be helpful to this idea is to explain how you/your teams would use the tool because the first thing Esri does is ask why you can't achieve this functionality with the existing tools. For example, in construction logistics or event planning, in the GIS we want to be able to see how long each activity occurs (this is the gantt bars) to identify conflicts (aka clash detection) and then be able to click on a specific day/time or select a range of time and highlight those records in the map (and to be able to filter by a specific day/time or range). In addition, I need rollups in the Gantt chart to see the subparts of an activity. One can almost achieve a gantt chart "look" with a bar chart in ExB but it's not a workable solution and falls short of what this request is seeking due to the additional parameters needed to get the expected behavior of a true gantt chart. Happy to coordinate to push Esri on a solution.

Ran into this issue when adding columns that list the building # and name from an Excel file. The column headers are not needed as it's self-evident that the first column is the map pin # and the next column is the building name. There are alternatives to achieving a similar look: 1) copy/pasting the excel into the layout as a picture element; 2) using one of the text types (but this takes some work and isn't semi-dynamic like reading from an Excel file); or 3) ignore column headers in Excel, and then change the Heading background to the color of your choice (Table Frame > Display > Heading > background), and change the heading text appearance font style to Regular to match the fields text style. @AubriOtis It would be helpful to have an override setting to turn off the display of the header while still showing the desired fields.

Currently, the only way to leverage a network service or routing service is to use Esri network service or have ArcGIS Enterprise to host it. Esri's AGO network service (that solves network analysis questions) is not editable. This leaves a user with having to host the network dataset locally on ArcGIS Enterprise and then sharing it with AGO. Esri's ArcGIS Online does not have the capability for a user to design a network dataset in Pro and publish it to ArcGIS Online as an item with special capabilities as a trace network or routing service. Users building their own routing service (ex. Indoors routing network) must have ArcGIS Enterprise available.

@TimothyCallahan @FloraVale a master construction activity/project schedule only gets logistics and planning so far - the hurdle is as you say is to "draw project boundaries...that link to a Gantt chart". This would enable logistic teams or planners/PMs to identify conflicts or opportunities as well as understand task relationships (dependencies) based on time and location, while maintaining a view project durations which provide the overall schedule view. Gantt charts are critical in construction project scheduling and event planning because the planner/PM can visually view the project activities in a way that is logical to planning and managing the project(s) for "what if" scenarios, and to avoid delays and re-work. Microsoft Project, P6, and other PM scheduling software have become more open/exportable for other systems to use. Adding a geographic link to a Gantt chart is not novel as existing project construction software does this with BIM data for both internal construction and site logistics; scheduling staging and material (or parking, Big rooms, etc.) around a construction site as the structure is being built. Another scenario: 20 projects are scheduled on a segment of Street A over the course of a 12 months. One project's boundary covers the entire street segment while the other 19 projects are all smaller footprint boundaries but also overlap/cover each other. The time-slider will display all "active" projects as it relates to the time-range defined by the user (1 day, 1 week, etc) on the slider but as a planner/PM I need to see the list of projects, their duration, and how they relate to each other to leverage the geographic view presented to understand conflicts, opportunities, and dependencies. The time slider does not convey to the user that project A is just about to end, and project B has just begun, which a Gantt view would provide.

Has there been any 3rd party Gantt chart widgets built for Pro, WAB, or Dashboards? Will need something in the near future to satisfy area-wide logistics.

Cole Andrews, yes based on the feature class date fields. Gantt charts for scheduling rely on [start date] and [end date] of an activity. A few other considerations if this was to be added as chart type in Pro/WAB/EB/OD... Settings or options that would enhance a Gantt widget: a) Range selection > user has the ability to set a date range to see only the activities within the user-defined date range; or, to define a date range as part of the Gantt chart, removing the ability for the user to change it. b) Level selection: Typically, in construction or event planning, there are different "levels" to an activity "Level 1" is the rollup of all underlining activities. For example, the Level 1 activity may be to "repave road", this has an overall start and end date; Level 2 would be the more specific individual activities (each with their own start/end dates) such as grind pavement, replace catch basin, pour concrete, set asphalt, add lane striping. These 5 activities "rollup" to the main activity of repaving the road. Therefore, a P6, or Microsoft Project schedule may have several Level 1 activities, and each Level 1 activity has its own subset of Level 2 activities. This would also satisfy looking at a master schedule, each project would be a level 1 activity. The user should have the ability to filter by a non-date field that expresses these "levels", so only to see Level 1 records, or the level 2 records, or both level 1 and level 2 records. The user should also have the ability to filter by a specific Level 1 record. There might be several Level 1 activities, this would allow a user to focus/filter on a specific activity to be represented in the Gantt chart. c) Display the activity duration as a numeric value next to the Activity (and have the ability to choose the time unit: days, months, years) I can't believe it's been 3 years since I wrote this idea 😕

I am suggesting adding the option under Organization > Settings > Home Page to allow administrators to disable the Gallery and Groups navigation/menu item for non-authenticated users when the Security setting of "Allow Anonymous Users" is enabled for the Org site. When Allow Anonymous Users is enabled this entitles anonymous users to see the Home page, Gallery, Map, Scene and Groups making them visible without authenticating. Anonymous users would be able to access the map, add content to the map (public layers) to explore data but wouldn't be able to save them or share them. By disabling these links, and only making them available to authenticated users, this will allow the Home page to still operate as a landing page or splash page without providing the public a method to discover public items easily. Other options currently exist such as Open Data for public users to browse org content. Also, to allow Hub community members to create an account through the sign-in dialogue ("Create a Community Account"), the Allow Anonymous Users setting must be enabled for the Home/Employee Org thus opening the Orgs home page, Gallery, and Groups for public browsing. For Orgs that prefer a more secure site but also want to enable Hub there is no choice to enable Hub but to also retain some level of control over sharing the Gallery and Groups. Orgs should have the choice to disable these navigation links which can provide the org more flexibility in terms of managing users and content.

I support this enhancement as we have many legacy and campus in AI and it would be useful to make them data-driven. An easy import of the vectors into a file geodatabase with a parameter for setting the scale of the drawing and the map extent. Once in the gdb, georeferencing tools can be used to rectify if necessary. Using a process similar to the GP tool to import a KML file, or as the author, aaddision, suggests the CAD import tool. Conversely, if I export an AIX then I should be able to import this file back into a file geodatabase and have the geometry in the correct CRS....perhaps involving a CAD like "world file" to be associated with the .AIX.

I also encountered this issue. Aerial basemap from Esri set to 75% transparency. I imported an .mxd created in v10.6 into Pro 2.4. I removed the aerial basemap and re-added it in Pro, exported to PDF (300 dpi, Best, Adaptive) but that did not affect the output and the tile outlines still appeared. What I found, as a temporary workaround, was to reduce the image quality from Best to Normal, it didn't remove them all but enough that it didn't look like a checkers board.

There are several personal and professional issues that a user will encounter due to the lack of displayName being accepted AGOL or Portal. i. A user’s email, business card, and other organization systems, etc. use their preferred name – not given name ii. A user, foreign students/faculty/employee, may use an English-name rather than their ethnic givenname; and users who no longer identify with their gender will prefer to use their preferred name – not given name; iii. When one is sharing maps, apps, and data within their professional community (or the public) and peers, it’s respectful for the organization's systems to use their preferred name by which their colleagues and professional counterparts use. It is possible for a user to edit their profile and change their name but it is a point of frustration to have make such an edit when other vendor systems in their org commonly accept displayName - though, if syncing/update is enabled, any edits the user make would be overridden each time they sign-in. A person's first name (and potentially last names with marriage or divorce) and how they wish to be referred to is a large part of a person's identity - having a given name exposed to their peers, colleagues, and public can be an uncomfortable or embarrassing experience.
