Hello @JoshDryer2, Sorry for the inconvenience but as discussed in this blog, the 2022 and 2023 vintages have some key differences in the underlying Census boundaries and content. Due to these geography differences when using 2023, your custom data lists are filtered out if they are configured as Standard geography layer as shown below: To confirm if your custom data lists are being filtered out in Esri 2023, go to Add Data > Custom Data setup > and review your My data list. Then you can toggle back to Esri 2022 to see your old list. If you see a difference in the list, that means your custom data are configured with standard geographies. While in Esri 2023, any infographic templates that contain variables from the custom data configured with Esri 2022 geographies will show missing variables as you described above. Please use this temporary workaround until we provide a better solution: Switch to Esri 2022 Open your custom data list and open the action menu next to it (3 dots) Click Change layer type > select Polygon layer > Next > Save Switch back to Esri 2023 and open your custom data list. Notice it will be visible now since it's not associated with any geography vintage now. Open the action menu next to your custom data again. Click Change layer type > select Standard geography layer and match the expected geography fields > Next > Save Go to Build infographics > open your custom template and confirm the missing variables are updated. I hope this help! Fasil T.

Hello @NisaAkkok, I looked at those layers from Living Atlas in UK and it looks like they don't have the required extent and spatial reference defined at the individual layer level. For example, there is nothing here for the LSOA layer: This is what is usually expected for a layer when working with custom data: And when that parameter is define, the infographic returns the expected custom data variables: I looked at other Living Atlas layers in USA for example and they all show the extent and spatial reference defined. I recommend report this to Esri UK, the content creator. Thanks, Fasil T.

Hello @ZackaryWilcox, Sorry for the inconvenience but we need more information on how your custom reports and infographics were created with custom data to understand why they all came back with errors as you mentioned. Can you please work directly with our technical support team so we can troubleshot your specific use case properly? In most use cases, you will not have to do any additional manual updates when your templates contain variables from custom data. You should be able to continue using the migrated 2023 templates unless there were specific variables that are no longer available in the updated 2023 vintage. In this case, you might see this message after the migration and update is complete. Then you can open your custom templates and spot check for missing variables. Your custom data variables should be in the updated templates and they can be used in BA widgets (ExB or WAB) without any additional manual updating. This migration and update is required because the 2022 and 2023 vintages have some differences in the underlying Census boundaries and content. We recommend using the latest vintage for accurate and current demographic reporting. Although we currently only support the latest vintage in BA widgets, we have an enhancement to introduce vintage selection in the near future as you mentioned. I hope this helps, Fasil T.

Overview The June 2023 release of ArcGIS Business Analyst includes major data updates for U.S. 2023/2028 Demographics, Tapestry Segmentation, Consumer Spending, Market Potential, Business Summary, and 2017-2021 ACS data in 2023 geography. If you use the Business Analyst widgets in Web AppBuilder and Experience Builder, this data update may affect your contents created with Esri 2022 vintage. This article discusses the actions you need to take to migrate and update your custom infographics and reports to the Esri 2023 data vintage. Steps to migrate and update your custom infographics and reports: 1. Depending on which app your organization uses to create custom infographics and reports, sign in to Business Analyst Web App or Community Analyst Web App 2. First you will see this what's new message. Please take a moment to read through these notes. 3. Notice the Esri 2023 is now the default vintage. If that is not the case, please select it from the data source selection option. 4. Then you will be prompted with this data update notification. Click Yes here. Copies of your custom reports and infographics will be created in the new data source, Esri 2023, and the variable labels will be updated as well. Your original reports and infographics are still available in the Esri 2022 data source. 5. The Updating reports progress window is shown while the migration is underway. The process time will depend on the number of custom reports and infographics that you have. 6. After the migration, you will see all your custom reports and infographics that require label updating. Click Update this & remaining reports button to update all labels at once. 7. You will see the Updating reports progress window again while your templates are being updated with the Esri 2023 labels. 8. When the process is complete, you will see this final message. Your migrated/updated templates might contain variables that are no longer available in the Esri 2023 vintage. If that is the case, you will have to manually edit and update your templates. 9. If you go to the Build Reports or Build Infographics workflows, you will see your templates are now migrated and contain (Esri 2023) in the names. 10. You can now go back to your Business Analyst widgets in Experience Builder or Web AppBuilder and simply refresh to see your updated custom infographics and reports. 11. Going forward, just make sure to select the Esri 2023 data source before creating any custom infographics and reports so that your templates are automatically available in the Business Analyst widgets for Web AppBuilder and Experience Builder. Hello @JessicaHancock , You can add string values from your layer using the "Map Layer" option when building infographic. Please see the 2. Map Layers section of this blog: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-business-analyst-blog/best-practices-when-sharing-and-running/ba-p/1062670 Thanks, Fasil T.

@Cathi_Balch Thanks for the feedback. 1. We are aware of this bug and plan to fix it for the next release. When you use the BA widget, the sites you create are added to the map and that's why you see "unnamed layers" label in the legend and map layer list widgets. 2. We are also working on this feature for the next release. The BA widget will work with the Draw widget when you create polygon features or drop a point feature using the draw widget. Fasil BA Team

The project layer and the project preferences file are the only items associated with a project (shared with the group by default). You can easily identify which of these items belong to what project by their names. For example below, I have a group/project named March and the contents also reference that name as March Layers and March Preferences. You can find these items under CA - Project Data folder and CA - Application Data and delete them if not needed. You might see reports and other items shared to your project/group but the items are generally stored in the folder structure. The group is simply used for sharing content and organizing. I hope this helps! Fasil

Hello @wayfaringrob, Sorry for the inconvenience. As documented in https://doc.arcgis.com/en/community-analyst/help/content-in-your-organization.htm, the contents you create in Community Analyst (CA) are organized into folders in ArcGIS Online (AGOL). We have plans to consolidate some of these folders in the near future. When creating a project in CA, a group (project) and a feature layer are in AGOL. By design, deleting a group (project) in AGOL or CA does not delete the contents (feature layer and other items shared to the group). Here is my recommendation: 1. Sign in to AGOL (arcgis.com) as administrator 2. Click on Organization > Members > click on the name of the member. 3. A pop up will open showing the groups and items list. 4. Click View all for items 5. You can simply delete the folders individually for that member or all of the contents from this page. Note: please note that you might not be able to delete the CA - Project Data folder or it's contents if they are delete protected. If that is the case, click on each feature layer (hosted) > Settings > Remove the delete protect and delete it. I hope this is helpful. Fasil T.

I also recommend working with our tech support on this as it can get complicated with your implementation. As discussed in your other question:https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-business-analyst-questions/ba-widget-wab-add-point-by-clicking-on-map-not/m-p/1264373#M858, there might be a configuration issue. But here are some helpful resources to understand when using BA widget in WAB on portal. The BA widget in WAB (ArcGIS Online or portal) does not support public sharing as mentioned in the help. There is no credit consumption if your are using your own geoerichment service. For the WAB to be accessible outside of your internal network, your geoenrichment and other portal services must be externally accessible. If your users are accessing the WAB app internally, make sure the portal services are all accessible and make sure, the portal members have privileges to use the geoenrichment and other portal services. For example, they must have the proper User type and role. Yes, portal does not support adding geoenrichment as a subscriber content. Even in ArcGIS online, you can only use the subscriber content option to share the WAB with your organization members who don't have privileges to geoenrichment. Public sharing is not supported. You have to be a member of the organization and sign in to use the BA widget. I hope this is helpful. Fasil T. BA Team

Please inform your system architect that when you drop a pin or select a point feature from the map, there is a reverse geocoding request that is most likely failing for you. If you open the developer tools in your browser, you should be able to see the request and see if there are any errors in the response. If your system architect is unable to troubleshoot this for you, my recommendation is to gather all the version information of your portal and BA Server or BA Enterprise and contact our technical support team. Thank you, Fasil

Hello @Symbology2008 , I checked the BA widget in WAB using the ArcGIS Online and also recent portal version version and confirmed the pin drop is working as you can see below: I suspect your portal might not be configured properly with a geocoding or geoenrichment service. When you drop a pin or select a point feature, the app does a reverse geocoding to determine the country. So I recommend looking into why that is failing in you portal. If you have a custom geocoding service, make sure it allows reverse geocoding. For reference, here is my portal Utility service configuration for geocoding. Also check you GeoEnrichment utility configuration on this page. I hope this helps. Fasil T. BA Team
