Jake Skinner, I was going to try using your tools. It is a secure service so I entered my credentials. The script acts as if it cannot generate a token. One thing I notice is that when I type in my password and move on to the next box the number of characters change in the password box, I'm hoping it is not defaulting to another password that I cannot see. There are several discussions about adding a feature service and editing it in ArcMap but my issue is a bit different. I access a feature service from the county I am in to obtain the parcel information. The service is secure. It was set up this way so that the information could be downloaded. The feature service contains several sde layers and a table. The layers show up just fine and I can export them, albeit a painful process, but I cannot see the table so that I can do a join, which is the whole purpose of the table. Checking the service directory I see the ownership table and opening it in ArcGIS.com shows the table and I can open the attribute table and everything. The only thing I can't seem to do is open it in ArcMap. Is there some setting I am missing or is this a bug. I am using ArcMap 10.3 and ArcGIS for Server 10.3

The problem here is that Esri hasn't come up with a good universal install for WAB as there are many different configurations of systems. I get frustrated as I am not a developer and I don't think Esri does enough to help us out. However, the users of Geonet and this thread are a great resource. Rebecca for instance has all sorts of help topics and Robert is a great developer and both will help anyone who asks, I'm not calling out other names but there are many other users that are very willing to lend a hand.

I have a similar set up to Rebecca's. I almost always have to run the startup then open a browser and redo it, the browser properly displays it then. I am using IE.

Thanks, I think I may have to bite the bullet and jump to 1.2, it sounds as if many of the widgets are getting updated so I may as well do it.

I may not have put this in the right location but I didn't notice a change. It still tries to open an html file first in IE 11 and adding csv doesn't fix the issue. I did test in Chrome and it immediately creates a csv file for export and the resulting file is created without issue. I placed this in ...\arcgis-web-appbuilder-1.1\client\stemapp\widgets\AttributeTable\Widget.js UPDATE: When I put this in ...\<appname>\widgets\AttributeTable\Widget.js it does appear to work in IE 11

I seem to remember doing something like "forking" part of a discussion to another thread but I think I must have been the original poster of the thread because I don't see the same feature in this thread. Also, the original query widget I was using may have been a custom widget, I cant remember, but the Attribute widget is out of the box that I am using.

That's fine but I don't think this has anything directly to do with Robert's widget, I think it is more an issue with the attribute widget.

I'm not sure this is the right place to post this but I will try anyways. I have also created a query widget and I want to export the table to csv. I, unlike the issues listed above, have values in the attribute table without issue but the trouble I am having is the export appears to be more of a txt or html file instead of a csv. When I save it by adding .csv my computer recognizes this as a csv file and it opens in Excel but it just completely ignore the comma separated values and just puts it in the spreadsheet the same as it would in Notepad. I attempted to save as a txt instead and import it into Excel and set it up as comma delimited but it still doesn't come out quite right. Using the attribute widget (or something similar) in the same manner in my Flex Viewer and the table comes out perfectly. I am using WAB 1.1 still as I have seen the threads that some of the widgets are not working properly in 1.2. I attached outputs from both the Flex Viewer and the WAB so you can see what I mean, the records of course not exactly the same in the two tables but that isn't really the point. Any ideas for what the issue might be?

I am using 10.3. Yes I have tried changing the fields in the properties view in ArcCatalog, that is what I was attempting to do when I captured the second screenshot. I didn't check to see if I could alter the aliases until after I tried what Asrujit suggested so it probably wouldn't be a good test at this point. I am also wondering about permissions BUT I am currently the only user other than a couple of feature services. Could the feature services possibly be creating a schema lock? Seems odd I can change some fields but not all of them though. The fields I am struggling to change are the fields that are original to the feature class and are not part of the table that is joined before being uploaded to the flexviewer that I am using clip & ship to download from. I hope all of that made sense.

Running everything manually as a test and that works, do you think I should run the alter fields tool in my model before I copy to my SDE?

I download a file geodatabase from an outside source. For some reason when the file creator does a join the field names get really long so I attempt to shorten them back the original field name after I use the copy features tool to import them into my sde. I was using the Alter Fields tool but it has been failing. I keep getting an error that certain fields cannot be changed because they are a custom sde type column. I would understand this if I was actually altering one of these types of fields but I am not. These are the fields I am trying to alter by removing the SDE_SDE_Parcels_ I just tried to do this manually since the tool was not working correctly. Any idea on how to get around this issue?

Muhammad, Don't forget in Jay's example that [Date] is the field name that holds your date so it might not necessarily be [Date].

Just an update, we are still testing out and haven't officially taken the plunge yet (yep a year later) but to the best of my knowledge this error is no longer happening and to be completely honest, I have no idea what we did to fix it anymore or if a bug fix was patched on. I have always been in online mode, so archiving wasn't my issue and I never saw the error mentioned above.
