I have ArcGIS Pro 2.9.6 on my machine and went to install untools. The latest version that I can see is untools 2.9.5.1. Is there a untools 2.9.6, or will the 2.9.5.1 work on ArcGIS Pro 2.9.6, or do I need to downgrade ArcGIS Pro 2.9.5?

Thank you for your emphasis rewrite. I originally read that sentence several times trying to understand it! The change in fonts that you did made it much easier to comprehend. I'll have to remember to do that next time I come across a similar issue with negation.

Has the comparison between the Communications Utility Network Foundation and the Communications Data Management been posted anywhere yet. I can't seem to find it and I'm trying to figure out which one to try to implement. Thanks

Well, I've learned a little bit. It has to do with the symbology, particularly the rotation of the symbols. If I share a map with unrotated symbols, the point features are in their correct locations, but if I then turn on rotation in the resulting web feature layer, the points move. Strangely, if I then turn off rotation, the points do not return to their original position, but go to some other position! Does the Map Viewer determine the center point of a symbol differently than Arc Pro? That is the only thing I've thought of so far that may be causing the problems. Any other ideas?

No, both the web feature layer and the basemap are in the same coordinate system. Besides a geographic transformation issue shouldn't move points that are originally <1' apart in opposite directions! I'm guessing it has something to do with the symbology.

I have a feature class in an enterprise geodatabase which I shared as a web layer with the settings Reference registered data>Map Image>Feature. The layer uses custom symbols from .svg files. Unfortunately, the feature service has moved some points. Why? Here is the layer in ArcGIS Pro Here it is in Enterprise Portal Note the two red ovals in the Enterprise Portal. In the one on the left, the point has been moved to the middle of the building, in the oval on the left, the two blue circles should be essentially on top of each other, and reversed in north-south position. This is not a coordinate system issue--that wouldn't reverse the position of two points and move them away from each other. Any idea what is going on? Cheryl

Anyone who has been impacted by this, I recommend contacting their account manager. The solution my account manager offered is a workable one for me. I appreciate the Education team's effort to not leave us out in the cold!

I will add my voice to the cry of frustration and disappointment. Last fall my student and I spent a lot of time getting floor plans into shape to be able to use the floor picker. While he learned how to create a dashboard that used the floor picker, I worked on a map that was to be used in Field Maps for fire extinguisher inspections. Once I had the floor picker working in Field Maps, I turned the project over to him to finish. Only problem; there was no floor picker on his phone! (He installed Field Maps in December; I had installed it several months earlier.) Since it was almost time for Christmas Break, we decided we would look into the issue when he got back in January. Now I know it wasn't a faulty install; the floor picker has been made unavailable without an additional fee! It seems it is always the money! I had some other building and safety inspection Field Maps in the planning stages, but alas, it appears it is not to be. As a 1-1/4 person GIS shop, working on a shoestring budget, even with educational discounts, ArcGIS Indoors is not feasible. It seems its like having to buy a $2000 toolkit in order to get a torque wrench! Sure, I know ArcGIS Indoors can do all kinds of amazing things, but my school does not have the manpower (nor the money) to do those amazing things at this time. I hope Esri will reconsider the ramifications. I had thought that maybe creating maps with floor pickers on Field Maps might ultimately sell the powers that be on ArcGIS Indoors, so they could have floor pickers on portal maps/apps, and I could explore the other amazing things it does. But, alas!

In my old utility database which we are planning to migrate to the utility network, I have a domain called AssetOwner. This domain is used for multiple fields within one feature class, used for several different feature classes in multiple utilities, and also used for non-utility feature classes all in the same geodatabase. I notice in the 10.9 UN Water model, there are both an Asset_Manager and an Asset_Owner domain which contain the same values. I presume there are similar domains in the other UN utility models. Once we have migrated to the UN, we will have multiple utility domains (water, sewer, telecom, etc). Can a single attribute domain be used in multiple fields within a single utility domain? Can it be used across utility domains? Can it also be used for non-UN feature classes (e.g., buildings)? Thanks, Cheryl

Thanks, for your response. If I am understanding correctly, I will need to rewrite the Structure domain feature classes so that there is only one "manhole" assettype, and it is found in the "vault" asset group. If that is the case, how do I determine what code numbers to associate with each subtype and asset type?

I have been examining the various utility network solutions provided by Esri because our university campus is responsible for most of its utilities—water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, irrigation, electricity from the substation, telecommunications, including fiber, etc. When I first started examining the utility network, I was pleased that there were structure feature classes that allowed these features to be used across utility domains because we have many structures that are multi-use. For example, a manhole may contain multiple utilities—it may contain a system valve for the water system, a control valve for the irrigation system, a fiber tube distribution unit, an electrical line, etc. However, as I have dug into multiple models, I am not so sure how this works. Consider a manhole. In the water distribution model, a manhole is found in the Structure Junction feature class>Assetgroup(subtype) 6 (Pipe Vault) for which the options are: Asset_Type_Structure_Junction_Pipeline_Vault 0 Unknown 201 Vault 202 Air Release 203 Manhole In the Communications model, a manhole is found in the Structure Junction feature class>Assetgroup (subtype) 6 (Pipe Vault) for which the options are: Asset_Type_Structure_Junction_Wire_Vault_Access 0 Unknown 161 Manhole In the Electric model, manhole is found in the Structure Junction feature class>Assetgroup (subtype) 105 (Manhole) for which the options are: Asset_Type_Structure_Junction_Electric_Manhole 0 Unknown 161 Manhole I feel like there is something missing in my understanding. How do you make this work with multiple utility domains in one utility network? How would you model a manhole that has water, telecom and electric in it?

The "Is connected" column is the selected column -- it has a dark blue line under it. But I think that distinction is too subtle; I didn't notice it until I went in Pro after reading this. However, my mouse pointer clearly shows me what I am hovering over; what happened to your pointer?

I just started creating web apps with WebApp Builder and was shocked to find that I couldn't edit an attribute table! For our use it would be so much easier than having to click on each feature to get a popup to edit. I would have thought this would have been included years ago! Esri, please let us know if you are even looking at this!!

As long as you have latitude/longitude (x,y) data for each temperature, there are a couple of ways you can get started. 1. You could add the x,y data as a layer https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/10.3/map/working-with-layers/adding-x-y-coordinate-data-as-a-layer.htm 2. You could create a feature class directly from your temperature data https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/mapping/layer-properties/add-x-y-coordinate-data-as-a-layer.htm If you do not have the x,y data in your temperature table, what geographic information do you have? Hopefully, this will get you started in creating the layers; someone else will have to chime in on the time issue. Cheryl
