It would be very helpful to be able to view existing photo's and add new photo's to surveys that have already been sent. Proposed Workflow Existing data gets created by inspectors submitting surveys and assigning work to a contractor. Contractor receives work assigned through the inbox. The contractor is currently unable to view any photo's taken by the inspector or add new ones. I am proposing to allow existing photos to be viewable and to be able to add new photo's to a sent survey with ought having to use a repeat. An editor should be able to tap on the photo and have it expand to the full screen of the device with the ability to zoom and pan around also. Josh

I am having an issue where work being assigned through a web app is showing up when collector is synced. I am attempting to set up a work flow where field inspectors collect date through survey123, the data is then reviewed and assigned through a web app to a contractor who would view and edit using collector. Due to issues with Collector in Offline not handling copied layers i am having to do everything through view layers. The end user want the work broken down into multiple layers. The issue i am having relates to the contractor receiving their daily work using collector offline. Our service area connectivity is very poor so offline use is a must. When the work is assigned it is not coming over to collector despite the assigned locations being clearly visible in the web map. I'm not sure if this is due to the view layers a bug or something else. I have played around with refresh rates, recreating view layers but that hasn't fixed it. Is anyone else using a setup similar to this for collecting data and pushing it to a contractor??? My Work Flow Is Something Like This... A B C Survey123 Feature Service > > Reviewer Map View Layers > > Reviewed and Assigned Using Web Map & App D E F > > Survey123 Feature Service > >Contractor Map View Layers > > Contractor Web Map Thanks, Josh

Any idea of when this bug will be addressed? I hope soon because this has completely ruled out using survey123 for editing work if you need to be able to limit editors to only specific work assigned to them. Does anyone have any workaround for such a scenario?

This is a significant concern for my organization as well. AGOL needs a "easy to use" single push button to download a back up or your organization or ESRI needs to have a back up on their servers and give users a restore option. Reminds me of the old Windows PC Create a Restore Point option.

This is definitely a bug issue and it is beginning to cause issues for my companies work flows. I have a webmap with 6 view layers that pull from a single survey123 feature service. Everything displays correctly on the webmap but on collector (ios or android) not one view layer displays. The view layers were an attempt at a work around because I discovered that a differently bug or limitation does not allow you add copied layers. I need to be able to break down a Survey123 feature service into multiple layers for my field crews who use collector. Is there any hope that this bug will be fixed soon? Thanks! Josh

I see that now. Makes sense I guess that I wouldn’t work it is reserved. Just wish they would give a warning when you try to publish. Thanks, Josh

Not sure if this is a known bug or a new one but there seems to be a bug with date type questions when the field name is "Date" and you want to make the field not editable in a webmap. What I am seeing is the edit check box under configure popup is defaulted to editable but is grayed out so you cannot change it. You can uncheck Display but it still shows up as editable in the webmaps popup and in collector. This does not seem to happen if i name the field name is anything other than "Date". I have attached a survey excel file that i used to test this one. So far I've only seen this with the date type question. Josh

Phil, Here is a screen shot of what i get with Method #1. Method #2 with collector is now working. It was likely the thousands separator issue.

Phil, I'm actually trying to do this 2 different ways to appease 2 different inspector groups. For the time being i'm concentrating on getting Method #1 up and running. Method #1 I want to be able to open the attached Right of Way survey from the attached System Patrol Survey all within Survey123 and pass over the Location_ID field to the Location field in the Right of Way survey. I am attempting to use a URL that looks like this. Both Location and Location_ID fields are integer fields. arcgis-survey123://?itemID=fe8bc0d1f738450eb2a40f8b0e07a827&field:Survey_Type=Hazard_Tree&field:Location={Location_ID} Hazard_Tree_Survey Launch_Survey Method #2 2) This is lower priority. I want to be able to open the Right of Way Survey from the Collector app and pass over a LocationID field from a separate hosted feature to the Location field in the Right of Way Survey. I have a webmap built from the Right of Way Survey feature service because some inspectors prefer Collector for navigating. They want to be able to initiate a new survey when they select a pole and have the pole number go over to the survey. I'm not sure how i would go about copying the webmap and service layer for you to see. Thanks, Josh

Hi James, I've had some success and some failure. Yes I am running the very latest version. I've been able to pass a fixed integer value from one survey to a second survey but when I try my ultimate end game of passing the field value it gives me the old not a valid integer error. The last part of my url is something like &Field:Location_ID={Location}. Both fields are integer type questions. I've not messed with the bind type yet. Both fields would normally get a number of 8-9 characters. I've not been able to find any discussions yet about survey to survey but in my ignorance I was hoping it works the same as collector to survey. Thanks, Josh

Hi, Does anyone know if it is possible to reset or re-ask a question automatically when you go to edit through inbox. What i'm trying to do is create a way that a manager could edit fields in a previously sent survey that would normally be read only to a user. I have tried using the following function in the read only column ${username}!='manager_username' however it seems that when the survey is initially sent that the username field gets populated by the original user but does not reset for the editor. Is there anyway around this issue to achieve what i've trying to do? Thanks, Josh

Derek, I was able to get the url link to work for iOS but I have had no luck with windows or android. Is there reason why it might not work for windows and android? I’m running the most current release versions of both apps. Josh

Hello, I am having a very similar if not the same problem. I am trying to pass an integer value over to an integer question in survey123. A number that can be 8 or 9 characters in length. What happens is that when the url is used the last character is dropped and thousandth separator commas get added. Survey123 does seem to be able to handle this. I get an Invalid Integer Value message when i attempt to submit. I have tried the offered solution above of making sure the add thousand separator checked off in the pop for the webmap but that has not fixed the problem. Josh
