In the October 2022 release of ArcGIS for SharePoint, we have included a Powershell (PS) utility module for SharePoint organization admins to set up ArcGIS connection strings for the organization’s ArcGIS Online org or Enterprise portal.

Using this PS module, SharePoint admins can set up tenant-wide ArcGIS connection strings so that current and new members of the SharePoint org can choose the ArcGIS online or ArcGIS Enterprise portal without having to manually type in their ArcGIS online or portal url.

This PS utility module utilizes Microsoft Graph API to configure organization-level open extensions.

Note: All the steps mentioned below have to be carried out by the SharePoint tenant admin.

SharePoint Locate Workflow template

We introduced some new Power Automate connectors in December 2021. These new ArcGIS for Power Automate connectors can help with a wide range of functionalities such as geocoding addresses, enriching data using the GeoEnrichment service from ArcGIS, perform point-to-point routing, or getting data and geometry from feature layers.

I am a SharePoint user with a SharePoint list containing addresses that I need to geocode so that I can add it to a map in ArcGIS for SharePoint. How can I achieve this in SharePoint online?

In this blog, we will look at SharePoint Locate Workflow power automate template which leverages the custom ArcGIS connector for geocoding addresses in a SharePoint list.
