Hello SharePoint Users! We are pleased to let you know of some major design updates and enhancements in the latest release of ArcGIS for SharePoint.

To see these changes and maximize the possibility of the new enhancements in this release, make sure you have the latest version (2025.1.0.0) of ArcGIS for SharePoint installed form the Microsoft app store.

Currently, you can access geotagged documents directly using the web part on the SharePoint platform, but with this new update, these documents are also fully integrated with ArcGIS, enabling a seamless experience for GIS professionals and teams working across both platforms. This new feature is designed to streamline workflows and enhance decision-making processes, especially for teams working with location-based data.

In today’s digital age, managing image files effectively is crucial for businesses and organizations that work with a large volume of visual content. One of the key pieces of information embedded in every image file is Exchangeable Image File Format (EXIF) metadata, which includes details such as GPS coordinates, the date and time the photo was taken, camera model and make, camera settings and other ancillary GPS tags. Why am I not able to see the EXIF file properties in SharePoint online?

Use Power Automate to automatically extract EXIF properties and then plot the GPS data using the ArcGIS web part.
