@VaneiriPattHave you tried to add the map service to your AGO account and then reference the AGO item ID in you Survey 123 Connect Excel spreadsheet?

Thanks @ShanaBritt . That is exactly what I want. Thanks so much for providing this workaround. Actually I have already used the custom output fields in my locator. I don't realize that we can have up to 50 of them. That is really useful. I am looking forward to the Pro 3.1 which can remove some unnecessary output fields.

@ShanaBritt I have similar request about customizing the locator role with the new "Create Locator" tool. We used to use Create Address locator to create a locator and publish it as geocoding service in ArcGIS server 10.8.1. Now we are migrating to use Create locator in ArcGIS Pro 3.0 to create locator. We were able to modify "US single house address" to a customized locator style so that the output candidate field name can be modified - for example from default StName to Streetname. In ArcGIS Pro 3.0.2 using Create Locator tool, it looks like we can no longer create a customized role to implement this customization. Is this the case for this new tool?

Hello, for the banner above the title, does anybody know how to change the background color? I would like to change it from default dark gray to a color that matches with the form title color. Thanks so much.

Hello, I have used the Survey123 generated code to embed the form in a web page. As a result, the web page has two scrollbars, one from the embedded iframe, the other is from the web page. I have tried to change the style like height, padding etc. It doesn't work. Any help is appreciated. Helen The web page html: <html > <title>Survey embedded in testing page</title> <body > <!-- code below is generated from Survey 123 site--> <style>.embed-container {position: relative; height: 0; padding-bottom:80%; max-width: 100%;} .embed-container iframe, .embed-container object,...........&&(survey123webform.parentNode.style["padding-bottom"]="unset")}});</script> </body> </html>

I have noticed the same issue as @KristinThorpe1 has with selecting the address in the list. Has the issue been solved? It looks like double clicking will make sure the selection Right now, I have set up constraint by checking a calculated field for location latitude not equal to 0 to validate the user input. This is a workaround to make sure user select a valid address from the drop down list.

Thank you @ZacharySutherby that works! Actually I have another calculated field in my form to calculate the latitude of the selected address. I use this field != 0 as the constraint.

First change owner and groups in all survey related items in the ArcGIS online. Then in the Survey 123 Connect, log in with the new owner. The list of survey from the ArcGIS online content will be listed in the Survey 123 Connect. Then download the survey to local computer. There will be a new folder created for this survey. Update/publish can be done from there.

I am using Survey 123 connect (version 3.13.249) to create a survey. One field is a geocode service bound (see screenshot of the row in the excel for Survey 123 Connect below). This is to make sure the user select a valid address from the autocomplete list of addresses. Also, the entry is location based. But I have found an issue with this field entry. The user is able to input any text in the field and submit the form successfully. I am wondering - is there a way to validate the user input - making sure the address is selected from the address autocomplete list? This is public survey. From this doc https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/desktop/create-surveys/pulldatajavascript.htm, JavaScript doesn't work from public survey. Here is the screenshot of the row in the excel for Survey 123 Connect. Thanks so much

I have created a form in the Survey 123 Connect and published to ArcGIS online. The form is embedded in an iFrame in a website. I am testing the form in an iPhone. I have found two issues - 1. I can’t sign the signature box. 2. When choosing Spanish as the language, when submitting the form, I don't get a finish page. The data is not saved to the back end data in ArcGIS online. I don't have issues when I open the form as a standalone ESRI survey page in the iPhone. It seems to have the same issues with droid device. Has anybody had the same issue and has a solution? thanks Helen

Hi @JerrySneary I am able to use Javascript to search for other information in a hosted service. As I have posted question above, it works. But the users who take the survey have to have an ArcGIS online account to use the Javascript function to populate the lookup information. I am not sure if that is by design.

I am using the javascript function to calculate some values from a publicly accessible arcgis feature service. It looks like, the javascript function only works when logged in with an arcgis online account. For public anonymous survey, it doesn't work. Doe anybody have the same experience?

Hi@BrettStokes, this blog is very useful. Thanks. I have tried to use feature/map service published from our GIS server. It doesn't seem to work for Survey 123 Connect. Here is what I have defined- The excel "survey" tab - "autocomplete search('MyAddress?url=https://testgis2.arlingtontx.gov/agsexttest2/rest/services/Query/MapServer/23')" The excel choices tab - list_name "ValidAddressList", name: "Address", lablel "Address" What is wrong? I have tried to use another feature service published from the same GIS server for test, it still doesn't work. When I try to use the url in your blog or another ArcGIS online feature service. It works. Does the service have to be hosted in the ArcGIS online?

@IsmaelChivite Is there a way to populate a dropdown of a field in the survey by pulling a field data in a map/feature service or a linked csv file? Thanks
