Both devices are on the cell/mobile network (two different network to test). There's a possibility it has to do with the version of Survey Connect being used. Could that cause the problem?

On version 1.2.49 I've just had the problem occur on a newly downloaded survey. Same map downloaded on a iPhone6S with 1.2.49 doesn't display and also on an older iPad with 1.2.49 also didn't display.

Collector recently introduced the ability to limit the size of photos. Do you see Survey123 getting that control? We've petitioned for a long while to get smaller photos in Collector and in our Rapid Damage Assessments smaller photos will be pretty important on compromised mobile networks.

Hi Jeff, I had a quick look at 10.3.5 and it wasn't clear whether the photo compression had been added in this version. Can you give any guidance on this issue?

While the app works well offline, much easier workflow than Collector, is there a plan to use tilecaches for basemaps when you're adding geopoints? GPS accuracy in metres would valuable too. Should I be posting these types of enhancement questions in github?

We want to follow something along the lines of what you're doing with the pre-filled addresses (we used to do it in ArcPad years ago). The trouble with that sometimes though is that whatever address data you're using it's never 100% accurate. No matter who we use, we always have issues, especially in regional areas.

If I was doing a door-to-door survey is there a way to remember questions from the last house? e.g. street name? Favourite answer is not a good workflow for us. BTW impressive work. I'm looking at it for damage assessments and I was able to take our schema, which had been stored in Excel, and make up a much better form than we're currently using in ArcGIS Mobile and Collector in about a hour, and that's with learning how to use the app. I hope it gets productized. I'm going to get some of our field staff to test - especially calculated fields, images on choices, and constraints. I hear we might be getting some improvement on dealing with photo size in Collector? Is that within the API and is there a chance that will be passed on to Survey123?

Pardon my ignorance, but how would I construct a numeric field (like hours since) to only show the last 7 days features? Could you have a scheduled action in the DB to recalculate all rows every hour... sounds onerous, especially if there is a lot of data.

I think Russ answered my problem earlier Offline multiple layers Two of the layers are the same featureclass. Shame the error message is not a little more informative. It's like we need a tool within ArcGIS Desktop or AGOL that can test a feature service for offline capability.

Yes on iOS. To me it must be a SDE or SQL Server setting or version. Could it be the editing rights on the featureclass? I'm going to have to put a local support request in.

Can't seem to go offline with a new feature service and I'm getting the following error: The operation couldn’t be completed. Failed to create a replica. Multiple layers are referencing a dataset, which is not supported. I can't look at the log files for this arcgis server so I'm having more trouble than usual. 10.3 ArcGIS Server 2012 SQL Server SDE Copied feature classes (point, line and polygon) which have worked previously - no joins or references or attachments Archiving enabled Editor tracking enabled Published to new AGOL for org - connected to feature service root. Details for webmap are showing that Offline is Enabled. Can anyone see whether I'm missing something? I thought I had ticked all the boxes. I didn't establish the SQL Server and I don't have a lot of control over the ArcGIS Server 10.3. I'm a little worried it's something in one of those.

We're considering running Collector over a digital radio network, but before we go too far has anyone looked at data consumption by Collector. When we were using ArcGIS Mobile for the same type of data (points, lines and polygons with no attachments) on PCs we had very small data transfers. We had definition queries limiting the data to the last week and we would get something like 20-100KB per minute. I guess it's like asking how long is a length of string as it would just depend on how much data you're syncing. Is the data compressed before synchronizing? How well does Collector deal with long transfer times?

So if an app can be developed like Camera Plus Pro that allows reduction of resolution is it not possible to include that capability in Collector? I'm sure ESRI's mobile group have looked into it and it's obviously difficult. I'd be interested to hear from the devs, Russ or Shane or anyone whether there is any light on the horizon. Your Camera Plus Pro workaround is fine, but our guys have 2-3 minutes per building to fill in 20+ questions and take a photo. I've been told that getting out another app and then searching for the photo in the gallery is not acceptable.
