Fay, I guess I was not aware that shapefiles were significant for each version of ArcGIS. Take a look at this article about saving to an older release: Migrating data from a newer geodatabase release to an older one—ArcGIS Help | ArcGIS Desktop Does this help?

Great questions. I am not sure on what the proper protocol is. It's really an informal thing to introduce yourself to the community so I'm going to say there is no wrong way to do it. I was peaking around on the GeoNet welcome page and on the left hand side list of buttons The Introduce Yourself button took me to the link I mentioned earlier (but it is getting a bit long!). So, long story, but seems like there is no wrong way to say hi and welcome to the board!

Hi Celine, Welcome! I am not really sure on the etiquette of this, but it looks like all intros are in this one forum posting: https://community.esri.com/thread/209097-introduce-yourself?sr=inbox&ru=122626 However, it's getting a bit long, so maybe it is good to start a new thread! In any case, welcome to GeoNet and glad to have you aboard!

Kari, I do not think this is possible. There have been a few ArcGIS Ideas requests out there for this but this still has not happened. You can vote up this main idea: ArcGIS Online Back-ups - hosted feature layers and web maps/apps

This makes perfect sense! I guess I hadn't worked with shapefiles in a while and forgotten that they do not really have aliases, just at the 'layer' level within a map document. Thanks Richard!

Jay, Is there a way to share that web map? Also, have you tried clicking on the last-most layer in the grouped layer to see if the ellipsis is revealed?

Hannah, Are you using ArcMap or Pro? I have a feeling if just using a geodatabase would help and then export it back out to a shapefile. In any case, take a look at this article: Essentials of joining tables—Help | ArcGIS Desktop The third paragraph says this: In most cases, appended columns are named <TableName>.<FieldName>. This naming convention helps prevent duplicate field names when the target table and a join table have common field names. If you do not want to see the full field names like that, click the Table window's Table Options button and click Show Field Aliases to toggle this option on or off. When this option is on, a check mark is displayed beside it on the Options menu, and your fields are not prefixed with the table name. This might help.

Matt, This seems to be expected behavior. I downloaded your data but I am not seeing all of the labels show up, so I'm not sure if I am seeing what I'm supposed to be seeing. At 100% in layout view, this is how it looks: The way I saw it when I brought it in initially was like this (at 19% viewing): When I look at the data view, initially the labels are not coming up (not sure if this is related to joined tables or not): Turning on the Maplex Label Engine with "best" placement quality on labels, data view gave me this: Maplex Label Engine with "best" in layout view (at 19%) shows this: Zooming in on data view shows this: Anyways, this, to me, is expected behavior. Quirk or not, this is normal. A few things to take note of. Of the 58 counties in California, you apparently have over 23,000 features representing the same thing. This making the database huge and very slow. This is likely the reason why I didn't see all the labels (this could also be a factor of sharing a map package, I'm not sure without see the original data). I would suggest redoing this feature class and have it only contain 58 features, unless for some reason, you need more than that. I am not sure if this is helpful or not but that's what I could determine.

Keith, I know you mentioned fonts and such, but have you tried running through the steps in this troubleshooting article? Problem: North arrows appear as letters and numbers in the North Arrow Selector dialog box Here are the steps: Disable any anti-virus software on the system. Open the Control Panel by way of Start > Programs. Double-click the Fonts folder icon. Select the fonts to re-install. Select Copy from the Edit menu. Navigate to the C:\ drive using Windows Explorer. Select Paste from the Edit menu to Paste the selected fonts to the C:\ drive. Select 'Install New Font' from the File menu on the open Fonts folder. Navigate to C:\ in Windows Explorer. Select the TTF files pasted to C:\ in the 'List of fonts' selection box. Click OK. Note: Reboot the system to initialize the fonts. Warning: The Windows operating system stores a registry entry for each font installed on the computer. This registry entry is retained, even if a font is removed from the C:\WINNT\fonts or C:\Windows\fonts folder. Windows does not permit a font with the same name to be reinstalled on the computer. Note:If the esri_40.ttf font is not installed on your system, you can access the esri_40.tff font from the ArcGIS Desktop installation disk 1 in the Fonts folder.

Matt, If you're concerned about label sizes, I would stick with worrying about them only in layout view since this is what will matter when the map is printed (or exported). The extents may be the same but you have to also consider the the 'viewer' sees, like if your layout view is at 100% or not (I hope that makes sense - I would include a screenshot but do not have Pro in front of me right now).

Hi Suresh, I do not have answers to your questions and am wondering if anyone else does. I saw you posted a thread earlier that did not get a response: Integration of Angular 7 with Web Mapping Application I would suggest tagging more places like ArcGIS API for JavaScript There may be some related answers in this thread: Get FeatureLayer from Map There have been a few other angular-like threads that have not had answers either, so I'm thinking there isn't much luck. Here is a GitHub link I found: angular-esri-map/README.md at master · Esri/angular-esri-map · GitHub - and - Angular Esri Map I hope this is somewhat helpful and that maybe someone else has something they can add.
